excellent food! the naan was to die for, marbalda chicken and their lamb is excellent. the food was sogoodi forgot to take more pictures. service is also excellent and informative! can't wait to go back.

visited during lunch buffet on business trip. very clean and fresh food.goodselection of non-veg as veg dishes. appetizer gulab jamun and spices were delicious. very quiet place with nice ambience.

being a big time foodie indian and that too from the capital, i can assume myself as someone who can easily distinguish betweengoodfood and bad food. to start with, the moment my friend was parking his car in front of the restaurant, i somehow didn't find the gesture of the restaurant owner too welcoming. by adjusting the parking board, he was indirectly telling us that if you are coming inside then only you should park here.

anyways, we ordered a non veg platter to start with. everything tastedgoodexcept the mutton kabab which was quite hard to chew and looked stale. we didn't complain as it was not much in quantity. in the main course we ordered bhindi masala, dal makhani, chicken tikka masala (which they proclaimed to be their specialty).

this was the worst dal makahani i ever had in my life. i have eaten at several other indian restaurants in states, not just in texas but this is not what i expected and it wasn't fresh at all.

chicken tikka masala, anywhere in the world you go, cannot be sweet and at least not sweeter than butter chicken. as per google, chicken tikka masala is a dish of roasted chunks of chicken in a spicy sauce. forget spicy, this was the sweetest chicken dish i ever tasted in my life.it had no chicken tikka, just pieces of boiled chicken in the sweetest sauce they could ever make.

mister owner the big time miser, had only 2 servers in his restaurant taking care of more than 10 guests at a time. they were taking orders, serving food and also cleaning the tables and he himself was busy getting the breads from the kitchen.

i am surprised, how this restaurant is managing to attract people. there are better places to go in and around dallas for indian food but this is not the one.

saffron house. i stopped by saffron tonight on my way home from the office to pick up some take out. while the food was good, it was certainly not the best in the area. the chicken breast in my chicken tikka was slightly dry. they also forgot to put my garlic naan into my order, but they certainly did not forget to charge me for it. this is a problem for me since i live an hour from the restaurant. the eggplant curry and lemon rice were both excellent. the staff has always been friendly on my visits to the restaurant. while saffron house hasgoodindian food, you can certainly get better.

this was verygoodas our first indiangoodexperience! very accommodating staff & nice atmosphere. the chicken tikka masala was the best! we had an awesome time here & will return.

my favorite indian restaurant in dallas.. it's a little pricey as far as indian food goes, but this is somegoodchow with wonderful ambiance. as others have mentioned, agood"date" restaurant. their lunch buffet is also pretty awesome. a lot of places are shy with the spice, these guys do it right.

excellent food and service. saffrons house is the best place to dine at as it reminds you of true indian food. i was already impressed with the food from the first time, so taking my friend who was visiting me was agoodidea; she liked the ambience which was perfect for a dinner. before we ordered we were served with complimentary snacks. our dinner order included saffron house special ghost curry ( goat ) , butter chicken and chicken 65 with garlic butter naan and a green salad on the side . the food looked amazing , tasty and as it was nicely served with beautiful garnishing. i also had a chance to order mango lasii, which was refreshing. i must say that saffrons food is the best indian food in town.

i was really impressed with their food. my boyfriend is from london & always in search of agoodcurry as he thinks the indian food in the uk is better than texas. not quite like london but he liked this place a lot. nice interior, too!
