absolutely awful. my two friends and i decided to come here after reading a stellar article about it in the post-gazette. um, wow - it was an awful experience. disorganized, absolutely rude waitress, bad service, and horrible food...you name it. i got the tacos de carne asada, and i actually couldn't even eat them - they were so disgusting and bland. i've never had an experience where i didn't like tacos or any kind of mexican food anywhere...untill at round corner cantina. chips were decent, and the margaritas were way too strong to drink. didn't even want to give the waitress a tip for her icy attitude. will never go again and have told others not to either.

one big yawn. i had wanted to go there for some time. stopped by with a colleague after work. the bartender and food server were nice enough but the food was boring. we had fish tacos (super bland), pulled pork tacos (really disappointing), guacamole (where's the cilantro and garlic?), refried black beans with queso fresco (pretty good but could have used more cheese), a sangria (with a lonely little piece of orange in it) and a margarita (which i'm really happy to have gotten at the happy hour price) as the full price would have been way too much.
it's a cool enough looking place but we won't go back.

tacos and mixed drinks worth it. this place can quickly get way too crowded, but it's pretty low key on a winter, weekday night, my favorite time to go. i'm usually more of a craft beer drinker, but i love the mixed drinks here, especially the refreshing pimms and lemonade. the chips and salsa are fresh and tasty, and the half price tacos at happy hour are an amazing deal.

one rude bartender = buh-bye. i am writing this review solely to say that the tall, brunette bartender with too much lipstick is one of the rudest people i have ever come across in the service industry. to make a long story short, we ordered three red pepper drinks, one was totally off - way too much basil. well, we brought this to her attention (in a really nice way, as we not only drink in bars, but used to work in the service industry). she immediately said there was nothing wrong with it, and something about "muddling." then she stuck a straw in it, tasted it, and said it as fine! another bartender came over and made us another one, but wtf?!? i mean, the drink was clearly off - it looked like mud while the other two we had were pinkish. anyway, she put a damper on the whole experience. take pride in serving a consistent, yummy cocktail that your customer likes! there are a ton of other, more inviting, places to drink.

just dont like anything about it. i think i am fair with my reviews - but after only one visit here, i couldnt wait to spill my guts.

i hated this place. its very loud, overpriced, the food (which i ordered, anyway) just sucked, and its too dark and dreary. the interior is ugly enough to make me not enjoy even being there, forget everything else.

good drinks. went here a few saturdays ago with a friend while i was waiting to get a table piccolo forno (don't worry well worth the wait). tasty tasty fresh drinks - none of that high fructose corn syrup. mixed staff some-some not. overall like it a lot. people- drinks arent that expensive for the ingredients they use. sorry valdy isn't served here.

prices too high for what you get. i just saw someone order a patron margarita, and the bar tender put in less than a shot.... for $9!!! all ice in a very small glass!!! food is ok, but everything should be at least $1 less in price, especially the beer. nyc prices in pgh... i would choose taco loco over this place anyday, maybe even taco bell takeout and make my own drinks.

good atmosphere, average food, bad ownership. i live in lawrenceville and love to walk to and support local restaurants and bars. cantina did a great job with its atmosphere and vibe and is a really great place to grab a drink. i have eaten there about 5 times and can say that i have given the menu enough tries and classify the food as not very good, especially for the price, but i still like the atmosphere enough to want to go there for a beer every once in a while. what i can't get over though is one of the owners extremely rude personality. i believe her name is sarah. the rest of the staff seems pretty cool. i have found this persons personality so offputting that i do not want to support her business anymore with my money. i have spoken to some other local residents that feel the same way, so me and my girlfriend will be going elsewhere in l-ville for drinks.

not as good as the hype!. i was in here a few weeks ago and was so disappointed. the food was pretty pricey for a very very average meal, the drinks were good but again pricey for the neighborhood, and the service from the waitress, and the bartender ( we sat there after we ate ) was not good, these people had attitudes like you were doing them a favor for going there...don't worry till they get it straight i won't be back ! ( it looks great but it is new maybe they will get thier act together with the employees )

over 21 only.... i'm eager to try round corner, but showed up one evening with my teens in tow - no one under 21 is admitted, even to the dining areas. thought it might be helpful for other family diners to know.

pretty good, a tad pricey. the beverages served here are made expertly but are a bit on the pricey side. the food was incredible and the ingredients superb but once again, a little pricey. i actually prefer the tacos from yo rita but round corner is just down the street and offers up some great atmosphere (namely, the outside seating). the pricing reflects their clientele, however.

their salsa is some of the best offered up in the city; it has a hint of chipotle. the chips are great, too, but for four bucks are a bit skimpy in quantity.

great cocktails, good food. rcc has some of the best cocktails in the greater lawrenceville area...i'd probably say for cocktail consistency from any bartender, they're probably the best. their sangrias are amazing and the españa michelada is incredible.

having worked in the service industry for 10+ years, i am bemused by some of the reviews complaining about service. i'm rather inclined to think of these reviewers as being generally unacquainted with points of service. i've never had a problem with service, nor have i noticed others not being served in a timely, efficient and polite fashion. i have been to the cantina at least 12 times in the year they've been open.

the food is delicious. if you go during sunday brunch, i'd highly recommend the carnes y huevos: delicious-looking steak, fried eggs, tomatoes, green onions & tortilla.

the cantina is closed on tuesdays, and a sign outside rcc clearly notes that they serve only patrons 21+

weird hours. ok this joint closes on tuesdays...another negative for t his place. they simply do not care about customer service

xcellent food, crappy service and attitudes. the tall tattoed female bartender needs a lesson in being a service oriented person.

the food is out -of -this world awesome. salsa perfect & flavorful, drinks are fresh, premium ones, not those just mixed with daileys artificial syrups......

bar diners will not be served at all, you must humble yourself and order at the dark bar.....bar tables are tiny, but again--food here would satisfy any california or texas pallate

seitan was out on the day i went, which was a dissapointment. i dont live near this bar and have placed phone calls to find out their times of food service to no avail. they only have a voice recording....

the lack of concern for diners and the rudeness is a complete turn off for me. emilianos on the south side and in mcintyre square trumps this establishment for many reasons.

for a place with such good food, it is a shame that service and available seating is simply not there.

you wont get service with a smile here, so tip accordingly

the bar doors were ajar when i went and smokers were outside the door. their exhaled toxins entered the entire bar area....

what??? seitan tacos???. this place is fabulous! i was so afraid of trying the seitan tacos that everyone told me i would love. well, i should have listened to them! i keep gettin excited to go back and eat them again! the guacamole is the best i have ever had and it's made to order!!! how can you ask for more than this?? if you are on butler street, give this place a whirl! the drinks are fun and exciting as is the food!

fantastic space, food, and drink!!. the round corner cantina is not only a "cool-looking" bar, but its a cool bar period. the outdoor space is fantastic as far as roominess goes and layout. there are plenty of large cement patio tables with bench seats and you can choose to sit at tables located under a long roof or not. there are also two bars in the outdoor patio so you don't have to run back and forth to the indoor bar. if you do sit inside, there are plenty of tables inside and the decor is somewhat romantic meets rockstar with its wallpaper low-lit chandeliers. as far as the drinks go, they are good and i mean good!! fresh margaritas, mojitos, and sangrias, plus great beers. the cocktails are crafted so you can taste what's in them instead of just the artificial syrup used to cover up the alcohol. what's more, the drinks are served in mason jars!! the food is not to be missed either!! mexican-based, so tacos and such but still quite fresh and good with alot of taste. i didn't notice much "serving" happening except for food-running but the bartenders didn't take their time to wait on me either. round corner cantina is a must-see!! just go!
