ordered singaporean crab, malaysiancrab, roti cannai, prawn dumplings and rice. everything was perfect, food came out without much waiting. quantity was decent. at the end the bill was just 61 for three people. if you are fond of crab, trying once is a must.

this place is highly recommended all across the reviewing apps, and thus, we had to.

honestly, it wasn't wow, if we compare to our experience of havingmalaysianaround australia. but, it wasn't something that was bad.

what was more.striking was the staff. they were understaffed during the christmas season buy yet, they were so warm and smiling.

incredible!!

roti and chicken curry was good and so was the fish stew....

also, it's quite easy on the pocket.

this is one of the bestmalaysianrestaurants i have visited. since relocating last year i have dined here on 7 occasions. it is fresh and always busy. i definitely recommend the spanner crab in chilli sauce. be prepared to get your fingers dirty. the black pepper tofu and the laksa are also delicious.

love the prices and serving sizes here! the laksa and prawn mee was great and i appreciate the use of 2 different types of noodles. the place itself is quite nice and spacious from the renovation earlier this year. would recommend this place if looking for some reliablemalaysianfood in the city.

this place is just awesome! service is really quick although it’s a busy friday night. the flavours of the food is just spot on malaysian. this is definitely one of the bestmalaysianfood joints i’ve been so far in australia. the laksa broth has just the perfect balance of coconut milk with a hint of sweetness. they are also very generous with the portions with an abundance of condiments like prawn, fish balls, fish cake, squid and chicken pieces.

ordered one of their signature dishes “nasi lemak with curry chicken” and for starters, satay chicken on skewers. propermalaysianstyle satay chicken on skewers are half thumb sized chicken pieces pierced on a wooden stick which are grilled on charcoal and then served with peanut based sauce. what i got instead was deep fried pieces of chicken stuck onto a stick and drizzled with a sauce which tasted no where close to a peanut based sauce. and yes it was “fried pieces of chicken on a stick” to fellow malaysians who are reading this. i was dumbfounded.
then their so called signature dish arrived. the curry chicken was bland and the curry itself was watery and had not absorbed into the chicken. the coconut fragrant based rice was lacking coconut. though the chilli paste (sambal) was good. the best of part of the dish was the peanuts, which i presumed came from coles. the asahi dark beer i had was excellent, and what the next table was having which i reckon was singaporean chilli crab looked and smelled really fantastic . might try that instead, if i ever decide to drop by this place again.

love love love this place. i get homesick for indonesian/asian food and the heartymalaysiandishes substitutes that enough. the portions were extensive and the food tastes enough like home. i especially love their hainanese chicken and roti options.

went here with the family for dinner on a weeknight.

we ordered:
(i) hainanese chicken with rice: unfortunately lacked the depth of flavour and the soup broth was a little salty, although the chicken was tender and moist.
(ii) sizzling pepper tofu with mince: straightforward, hot and delicious; need to order accompanying side of rice.
(iii) nasi goreng: delicious, flavourful with a hint of heat; not sure how close to traditional it is, however it was one of my favourites for the night.
(iv) chicken laksa (which was combination laksa minus the seafood): did not have the creamy, smooth coconut undertones within the laksa broth; however very good portions of noodles and protein.

casual ambience with plenty of indoor seating. reasonable prices. friendly and efficient service.

overall, reasonably goodmalaysiancuisine.

i generally shy away frommalaysianfood since it just doesn't fit well with my taste buds, but they had a lovely lunch special that i couldn't pass up. i forgot, but it was around $10-12 for a lime chilli chicken dish with a drink for lunch. i expected just a shitty can of coke for the drink, which you can get, but rather their homemade house drinks were included which were like $5-6 each? good deal and tasty. definitely would recommend and go again!

this is a really good value option formalaysianfood in the cbd. the restaurant is really nicely decorated and it was really great to see the chef making the roti through the large kitchen window. the customer service was excellent - the wait staff were friendly and the food came out really quickly. we tried the char kuey teow and the roti canai with beef rendang. the portions are generous but the food while very nice was more suited to the australian palate. for me the authentic flavours of malaysia were missing - chilli, spice and belacan (shrimp paste).
