rotis were spot on, enjoyed all 3 serves. pleasant atmosphere, casual wait staff that were very helpful. crab dishes while always messy were hard work to get any significant quantity of meat from, then again they were only $19.80 a meal. would we return, yes.

the rotis are amazing!. the rotis have perfect taste and texture - they blew me away! great serving sizes, so go there with friends and share things. a little on the expensive side if you order a roti and a main for yourself, but at least you get a heap of food.

pretty average malaysian... had the nasi lemak which had a different flavour than i had tasted before. salted lemonade was a nice refreshing drink.

i checked out the roti place after they moved to their new place on charlotte street. it is now located in a cute old building which is contrasting with surroundings. i tried the seafood laksa and it was ok. i wouldn't call it a cheap eat but the portion was big. service was alright. would come back again.

looking for a place to eat on my first night in brisbane. couldn't go past something i've been wanting to try for a very long time - singaporean chilli crab 🦀. although super messy and a bit difficult to eat it was thoroughly enjoyable if he mess on the front of my jumper is anything to go by. the service was excellent and i enjoyed people watching.

ordered singaporean crab, malaysian crab, roti cannai, prawn dumplings and rice. everything was perfect, food came out without much waiting. quantity was decent. at the end the bill was just 61 for three people. if you are fond of crab, trying once is a must.

the food is delicious. and the crab has no tools to better eat its meat. the location is good for people to eat in the city, there is a parking lot opposite the restaurant, but there is a charge, this is not to acceptable. the atmosphere is good, environment is clean.

pleased to have dinner at roti place. enjoyed sitting on the terrace with a cold beer. roti was soft and satisfying with a crunch. satays were crisp and satisfying, drenched in a fabulous sauce. the beef rendang had a deep flavour and was tender. staff were knowledgeable and attentive. top marks roti place.

a-mazing place! would definitely go back and recommend to my friends! very fairly priced and nice food! they are kinda under staffed during busy hours but other than that- all well over my expectations! 👍💪

i was first drawn to roti place by its somewhat outrageous claim to have the best hainanese chicken rice in town. the inside set-up is nice if nothing special, but the staff are attentive and service is speedy. their speciality seems to be local spanner crabs but instead we ordered barley water, chicken rice and a laksa, all of which tasted great. for authentic chicken rice lovers, the chicken was fresh and succulent, and definitely one of the best i've had in brisbane, but the fragrant rice lacked the full flavour and was a bit of a weak point. the laksa was generously portioned and also pretty tasty. they offer a small range of wines and beers that could pair well to the mains, but with only three options, the dessert selection is limited. all in all, roti place has a nice range of meals at affordable prices and is definitely worth a visit for anyone wanting some south-east asian cuisine.

i have been to roti place a few times now, and the quality of the food never fails to disappoint. after a few failed attempts to enjoy a laksa over the past few weeks, i felt comfortable that ordering one from this authentic south-east asian restaurant would satisfy my cravings, and i was not wrong. the serving was so large that i was able to enjoy it for lunch the next day, and the flavour was not at all compromised. we also ordered a serve of the roti canai; a dish i cannot go without, and a plate of hainanese chicken rice, which was also delicious. nice atmosphere, prompt staff, and affordable prices make for a great casual lunch or dinner.

honestly, it wasn't wow, if we compare to our experience of having malaysian around australia. but, it wasn't something that was bad.

what was more.striking was the staff. they were understaffed during the christmas season buy yet, they were so warm and smiling.

also, it's quite easy on the pocket.

this is one of the best malaysian restaurants i have visited. since relocating last year i have dined here on 7 occasions. it is fresh and always busy. i definitely recommend the spanner crab in chilli sauce. be prepared to get your fingers dirty. the black pepper tofu and the laksa are also delicious.

the meals here are usually good. the wat tan hor is delicious as i expected. a large serving with plenty of ingredients. yum! service here is always friendly and fast!
