i visited rosso last friday with 4 other family members and we had a fantastic night. all staff from door, to bar and tableservicewere very friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. the food was devine and the portions were of generous size. the decor is plush, crisp and fresh with a great atmosphere. now my firm favourite manchester restaurant. i would definitely recommend and i will certainly be going again!

this place is owned by rio ferdinand and has very high reviews, so i decided to give it a try before the united match. the restaurant was very well decorated for christmas. you can see that this place is classy, not expecting this from rio. :p theservicewas really prompt. the food is good italian. probably would not go again before a match because of lack of atmosphere, but this is an excellent place for fine dining.

to conclude, rosso is i think the epitome of a place where the quality of food seems to be less important than the other elements; theserviceand atmosphere are excellent. sadly this just isn't enough for me. the food has to be better than this to make me want to return. in short: rosso is all style with little substance.

from the attentiveserviceto the beautifully presented food, you really do get the star treatment here without feeling out of place. i’d eat here every time if i had the salary to support such an extravagance. unfortunately, for the time being, i may have to settle for special occasions. i wonder how many of those i can find…

excellent dinner. dinner for two here, and thoroughly enjoyed it. it's big and it's busy, but theservicedoesn't suffer too badly. we started with the antipasto misto which was a good selection of cold meats, with some cheeses, olives, etc. for the main i had linguine with crayfish tails, and half a lobster on the side. the lobster was cooked to perfection - succulent, and tasty, not dry as it often is. the linguine with crayfish tails was also delicious. my wife had ribbon pasta with rabbit, which she also enjoyed.

it's a really good spot, very popular, but not overpriced.

fantastic food. poor service.. i went for lunch just before new year. i had calamari and a pasta dish which were great but what let my visit down was the service. there were enough staff to serve a table each yet i still had to wait too long to order more drinks. i would go again but not as a table of 2 as we seemed obsolete. the bill came to around £80 and there was aservicecharge on the bill which i was a little reluctant about paying. the decor was also lovely.
