oh man that was good.... hat tip to stay thirsty, he gave the go ahead for this great mexican place a few months ago. great neighborhood place in a historic building south of downtown/riverwalk area. guacamole, salsa and chips to start (de riguer but very tasty), a michelada (beer bloody mary) for a little spice. i had the mollejas a la plancha (veal sweet breads in a stewed tomato sauce) which now tops my list of best mexican foods ever stuffed in my face... absolutely fantastic, crunchy, creamy, dense, delicate, etc., etc. my wife had the fish tacos which were superb. interestingly, my sons kiddie enchiladas were freaking excellent, best enchiladas i've ever tasted. all in all, it's wonderfully located, the service, staff and food are top-notch and they have a heart felt local following that will recommend it to guests, out -of-towners and friends.
