went here last week for lunch at the recommendation of an adjacent shop owner, and was very pleasantly surprised at the quality of thefoodfor the price.
i had the lunch combo of a half chicken salad sandwich and cup of tomato basil soup. both were excellent, the chicken salad was freshly made and flavorful, and the soup was delicious and hot. my companion had the half hippie veggie sandwich, which was served on a crunchy baguette roll with fresh veggies and cheese, and served warm, and potato chips for the side. yum. the cashier also stopped by our table to ask if everything was alright, a nice touch.
with drinks, the entire tab was less than $20, something you don't find much anymore. wish there was one in austin, but when we're in g'town, we'll be back to roots!
