great hummus. the avocado sandwich is divine. the restaurant is quaint and the ambience is perfect for lunch.

"cajun crawfish pasta." yum!. went there again last night. this time, had their "cajun crawfish pasta: seasoned crawfish tails and green onions tossed with penne pasta in our spicy cream sauce". very good. a decent quantity of louisiana crawfish (i checked that it wasn't "imported crawfish. yuck!). very nice flavor. spicy, without being overwhelming. would definitely eat it again. use the accompanying breadsticks to soak up any extra sauce. that sauce should not go to waste! :)

unfortunately, would definitely not recommend the "baked garlic shrimp: shrimp topped with garlic and parmesan bread crumbs, baked golden brown and topped with fresh chopped spinach". it was all bread crumbs (without a lot of flavor), and very little shrimp. not even close to being worth $8.

shrimp pizza- yummy. we just got back from our first trip to cafe roma in river ranch. we had a entertainment passbook coupon and ordered two large pizzas: shrimp and cajun spice
we were not disappointed! we thought they were both very good. the shrimp is in a white sauce and the cajun spice was in a red sauce. the only thing i would change about the shrimp pizza is to not add whole toes of garlic. at least half them-i love garlic but i could see where some would not like the large intact chunks. the shrimp on the cajun spice has a great spicy rub that was delicious. next time i will order the shrimp pizza but see if they will substitute for the spicy shrimp that is on the cajun spice pizza.
give it a try- it's good pie!

cute place but the food is average at best. a bit pricey for lunch and service is slooooowwww! i'l skip it for the same price there is better down the street.

cafe roma is one of my top 5 restaurants. i am addicted to the avocado sandwich with tuna (no tomato on mine). it is so delicious! i've ordered the tuna cooked a number of ways and it is always spot on. i also love their hummus. to me, it's the best in lafayette. tries the feta cheese roll ups on our last vist, and it will be a tough choice now between hummus and the feta rolls! my husband has eaten lots of other items and says they are all very good. i usually go in planning to order something different and end up with the sandwich. it's that darn good!

utterly plain. i found nothing particularly special about cafe roma. the pizza smelled delicious, but the alfredo and spaghetti and meatballs were nothing to shout about. i much prefer la pizzeria for pastas and calzones.

simply the best.. for the past two and a half years, i have found myself dining in or taking out cafe roma at least twice a week. it's by far one of my favorite restaurants in lafayette. the cajun chicken pasta with extra sauce is absolutely amazing. it's definitely my fav! the side salads (which come with any pasta meal) are huge. the best ceaser salad in town. the tuscan seared tuna is an appetizer, but i order it as a meal. it comes on a bed of spinach and beans with a dark sauce...to die for. if i dine in, it's a given that a friend and i split a bottle of clean slate riesling, or francis coppola pinot noir and finish it off with a piece of cheesecake or chocolate cake...which we can almost never finish. if you haven't been to cafe roma in river ranch, you must give it a try. guarantee you'll be back!

hidden away. a good hidden italian restaurant. one of the better eateries located in river ranch. the prices are reasonable and the portions are good. the crust here is the bready type and there aren't any options for thin or pan. the sandwiches and pasta are all very good. i've had one incident with a bad waiter, but that was over 2 years ago and hasn't happened since.

great for outside. we like to dine outside -weather permitting. my go-to entree is the oven roasted tilipia. lemon drop martini is pretty good. tiramisu is really really good, very big, enough for two. they have a tuna appetizer that is a good size for a table to share. lots of bang for your buck. two people could easily eat here for $30.

don't miss out!. what a refreshing, affordable establishment tucked away in river ranch! a wondrous ambiance and the staff was cordial. we ordered the "shrimp pizza" which was mucho delicious! the menu features creative tilapia entrees i can't wait to try during my next visit. my time there was reminiscent of dining in houston!
