rocks on the roof

the service was substandard at best, approached with an unnecessary attitude. food(iorderedthe burger) was ok minus the fact you have to know before hand you would.need to ask for some of the things you would expect on a hamburger. from what i saw online prior to my visit i expected more.

poor service. we sat at the bar and waited 15 minutes for someone to take our order. weordered2 margaritas and the hunter's plate. half way through eating, we noticed there was no cheese on the plate. by the time we got the cheese, we were out of bread & asked for more. 15 minutes later, no bread. the bartender was apologetic, offering us dessert. we declined, being it's 3:00 in the afternoon. we paid the bill & left. we won't be going back.

excellent views. oh yeah, there are some really awesome views from rocks on the roof. if you catch them in the middle of a sunday afternoon, you might be able to claim a table on one of the terraces. otherwise, you get to sit inside, but still have some awesome views through the glass garage doors.

our service was good, and our waitress was friendly. we onlyordereda few draft beers, so we were an easy table to take care of. drink prices are a tad steep up on the roof, but not horribly outrageous.

great view, bad service. food was good, but our waitress was one of the worst ever. other waitresses had to come over and check on us, and all weorderedwas a beer and an appetizer. then she tried to give us someone else's bill for 5x more! while the manager took care of us, the long wait for the food and piss poor attitude of our waitress made us question if we would go back.

hit and miss. went for a late lunch one day, and found ourselves a table with a view immediately. service was almost prompt, but we were helped by three different women which made it completely confusing. had the most amazing blt with fried greed tomato, who knew??? it was savory, cruncy, salty and sweet all at the same time, bravo! my hborderedprosicutto bruseccta, which was a dissapointment, he couldnt bite through the bread and it fell apart as he ate it the blanched tomatoes were falling off before he even attempted to eat it. but--- overall it was a good food/view choice. we also went back before dinner for a drink and appetizer (since we had such good luck at lunch) and waited at a table for 15 minutes before we had anyone come up to us, which was annoying. weordereda drink (savannah tea, pretty good) and some oyster shooters, which were delicious. served 3 different ways, we were very delighted with the choice. overall, service stinks and the food is good....get it together and this place can be the "top of the rocks"

disgusting food - boring music. i had high hopes for this new, hip restaurant/bar in savannah. with the excellent location overlooking the water and nice interior build out, i was expecting good food and spirits for a girls night out. how disappointing. weorderedseveral of the tapas items and none were very edible. the artisan meat and cheese plate was shredded cold cuts with two olives and a piece of stale bread. the calamari was covered in like a "special sauce" and tons of garnish - gross. i was really pulling for the truffle fries - really how can you mess up truffle fries?? cold and covered - i mean covered in some sort of alfredo sauce. utterly disgusting. drinks were weak and entertainment lacking. although the jazz singer had a great voice, this "norah jones" wanna be was putting everyone to sleep on a friday night. there were several large groups including a wedding party at the bar on the roof and everyone seemed bored. we left and ended up having pizza at sweet melissa's after spending $150 on crap at rocks on the roof - maybe good for a beer in the summer when they open the overhead garage doors but other than that i would pass. what was especially charming was the wrist band that you had to wear saying that you are 21 - so classy. especially to go into a lounge, attempt to have dinner and listen to elevator music - seriously!!!!
