99 problems but brunch at rockcreek seafood ain’t one. that fried oyster benedict that they served me was the jam! perfectly fried oysters, served on a nice brioche, bacon, and a creamy hollandaise. game over! there’s quite a bit to choose from the rockcreeck brunch menu. out of everything, we went oysters again with the crispy fried oyster roll with bacon. we just couldn’t get enough of that deep fried oyster goodness with tasty bacon. you have been warned, the food is tasty but it will make you hella full (if you’re down with that kind of thing). you also can’t forget about that beautiful nw modern log cabin inspired space. previous post the fat hen brunch leave a reply click here to cancel reply.

the food psych. i always feel that the chef or the person or persons that prepare you the food, communicate through it emotionally . if you frequent a restaurant you can tell if someone is not paying attention to how they prepare it. i believe food preparation is an experience and if someone is happy, upset you can tell by the food they prepare the meal. well. i can tell you that the food is consistently good.

what an absolute terrible experience. the sun was in our eyes beyond belief. they really need to do something with the beautiful garage door to mask the sun. i love sun- but they offer sunglasses because it's blinding- beyond belief! your whole entire dining experience. the food was delicious but with the sun blaring down on us, we could not enjoy any of it. our wait staff was horrific as well. my 10 yr old son dropped a glass and it broke and she was so preoccupied with a customer in the bar that she didn't even come over. we had to clean it up and wipe everything down. she didn't come by ever except to ask if we wanted dessert. it was absolute terrible. i will not go back. so sad- it was so promising.

this place was started by chef eric donnelly. i don’t understand why is this restaurant not as famous as it should be. the chef is also underrated. this restaurant does not just serve food it serves experience. one of the best restaurants for its seafood with such a friendly staff. chef donelly wasn’t available that day.

we were sitting at the bar and the bartender sam was the person to help us out with our food selection. he was very friendly and polite. he was attending to everyone yet he was able to give us a lot of time.

i ordered a local beer with mussels to begin with and i am very sure it was surreal. i haven’t had anything like those mussels before. absolutely beautiful sauce. the mussels were soft and with that bruschetta it was a match made in heaven.

after that i ordered oysters which was for me the best dish of the evening. it was to die for. my mouth was bursting with flavours. it was so beautifully plated and it tasted like heaven and to compliment it, sam gave us a complimentary tuna tartare which was amazing and this time i ordered a classic american cocktail old fashioned which i had tried with a lot of restaurants and i really felt that sam just smashed it out of the park. absolutely unreal stuff.

last but not the least we had ordered another portion of tuna with some crispy crackers and seriously what a dish to end with. sublime, subtle, crisp, engaging with eyes closed. i was on seventh heaven. with that egg yolk on top of tuna and the salad was amazing. i ordered another american to blend with this dish. this beer was even better than the first one. that evening was a small journey of sorts.

i just want to thank the entire staff of rockcreek. i want to thank all the sous chefs and specially sam for one of the best experiences. i highly recommend rockcreek to all the seafood lovers.

to celebrate our wedding anniversary and also father's day, our family had brunch at rockcreek in fremont. the owner's favorite place to fly fish is rock creek in montana and when you enter the restaurant there's a huge picture of it. their menu is focused on globally sourced seafood. they also have fresh ingredients delivered daily. the space reminded me of a rustic montana lodge with an upstairs loft, but the restaurant also had an urban feel to it.

great meal. service , some might say great however we thought we were a bit rushed. whenever we are eating our app and the entire arrives i would consider that as being pushed a bit. that being said we throughly enjoyed the food and the experience. main floor was way too noisy but when we moved to upper level the noise was not an issue. we will be back !!!!!

rockcreek not only has killer, fresh brunch-time bites, it also has bloody marys that exude creativity and innovation. the “big sky bloody” is served with dill and rosemary vodka, house mary mix, a pickled shishito pepper, and a house pickle, while the “big sky caesar” comes with a satisfyingly salty house caesar mix. but if you truly want to get your bloody mary win on, upgrade to the “baller bloody or caesar,” served with a big ass poached prawn and oyster on the half shell.

seafood.   it's what they do, and do it well.

the place is laid out sort of funky and we ended up on the 2nd floor.   there was a private room with a party going on, which was sort of cool.

oyster shooters and then on to our seafood entrees.   the fish was executed perfectly and was very fresh.  i will say there is quite a variety of fish to choose from, and the menu can be a bit intimidating at first.

i know we have good seafood in this part of town, but this would be a place i would recommend to folks.

i went with a fairly large group and had a wonderful time and got to sample a good amount of the menu. everything was quite delicious but my opinion is that the menu is to large and unfocused. that is certainly a plus for pleasing a large group but i would find it difficult to select a 2 or 3 course meal and have it all mesh well together. especially since some of the dishes seemed to stray from what was described on the menu. the calamari appetizer was great but was surprisingly asian-flavored, even coming in chinese takeout box. the black cod provencal also had a very fusion flavor to it.
once again, the dishes were all very good (though sometimes the flavors overwhelmed the fish.)

came here for oysters, and i wasn't disappointed. great selection (i have fallen in love with pacnw oysters.) we had 3 each of every kind, plus bread, olives, and baked oysters. the menu has both main dish and tapas style. we were in the area to see the fremont troll, and i found this restaurant on zomato while sitting in the fremont brewery.

hands down, the best brunch in seattle, bar none! mimosas, beignets, great coffee! my wife's wild mushroom omelette arugula and breakfast potatoes were innovatively pleasing to her palate. my "tar pit," with niman ranch ham, country biscuits, and lemon hollandaise sauce with two poached eggs was amazing as well. rock creek has only been open for a year but has quickly made a name for itself in a remote location as one of the top dining establishments in seattle.

an excellent experience with an emphasis on fish. high noise level but that seems to be common in casual places with great food. our server was personable and knew the menu with excellent suggestions. oysters on the half were fresh with a wide selection from washington. baked oysters were delicious. all three of our mains were beautifully presented, well prepared, with creative sauces and toppings. the key lime pie came deconstructed in a jelly jar - delicious. the "s'more" was beautiful but a little too sweet for my taste. good wine selection. fair price for the quality and service. would definitely go again.
