rock bottom restaurant & brewery

undecided.... mac and cheese was really good, drinks were not impressive. inexperienced server. as a waitress i'm pretty understanding to being busy and even being inexperienced. i specifically asked our server if the margarita was blended or on the rocks. he said it was blended and i said yes i'll take that. i received my drink.. on the rocks. not a big deal. i asked if i could get my drink blended... i don't think he even realized his mistake. he said yes and took the drink back to the bar. unfortunately when he brought it back, the bar had literally dumped my margarita into a blender.. the ice was separated from the liquid and the whole margarita tasted like salt. i have to assume the bartender dumped the drink into a blender and then dumped it back into the glass mixing the salt right into the drink.. not impressed. the rest of the food was okay.. nothing too spectacular..

good place. fish and chips surprisingly good. tacos pretty good.

we were actually told to avoid this venue by a driver... but the proximity to the hotel and late night hours just couldn't be passed up. we took a table out on the "river" or canal front fairly late in the evening. the view was great with bar boats going by on this summer night. the beer was great and several in our party enjoyed their desserts... since we had already had dinner elsewhere. we signed up for a discount loyalty card and would have gotten $10 off our next visit, but sadly time did not allow it. it gets busy, so plan accordingly.

just stopped at rock bottom after man of lamancha. sat down and bartender offered a drink, but if he offered a menu we never heard. when my wife asked if a menu had been offered, he rudely responded, "i offered!" to which she apologized and said she missed that. rather than accepting the misunderstanding and moving forward, he said, "well i did." we paid our drink bill and went to the host desk to ask for a manager. we were done there, but wanted to let them know why as many places ask for a customers to give them a chance to make it right. we did and she offered a table away from him. while a nice gesture, it really did not address how we were treated by patrick. we let her know we were going to grab a bite and another drink elsewhere to which she wished us a good night. if one wonders why this establishment was 10% full on friday night, wonder no more.

stopped here on a thursday.  the wait staff was very friendly and attentive.  everybody in my 7 person group had good food and a great selection of beer.  make sure if you enjoy beer, to take a flight or two.  i got the buffalo chicken sliders and traded one for a beef slider.  they were great.  **by slider they are basically small burgers, not a traditional greasy slider.

mac and chicken was very good, beer was good. service was poor, even odd. waited and waited for the waitress to bring silverware while the food got cold. we don't know where she went. then we had to hurry and pay the bill because she was moving to another section.

omg! the burgers are so juicy and amazing. best burger ever.

great time!. from the parking attendant, the host, the waiter nicholas, to manager david, our time at rb was great.
the lunch rueben, hamburger with bluecheese, beer, wine was all really good. on an absolutely beautiful day on the river, what else could you want? oh yeah, how about a t-shirt and glass? will definitely go back when in the area.

needs better service. 3rd year in a row that i've gone to this restaurant for my birthday. the first year i remember the service was poor when my party sat on the patio to eat. the 2nd year my date and i sat inside and had great service. this recent time will be unforgettable. i wanted to sit outside, so we got a table with no problem. however no one came to even greet us after 20 minutes. finally my cousin went to the hostess and told them. there was another table next to us whose party was seated a few minutes after we had been. the waitress worked both of our tables, however that second table kept getting service before us, from drinks, to food, to small things such as app plates and condiments. the only reason i keep returning to rock bottom is because i love the food. unfortunately after this past experience i don't think i should return.

slow & lazy staff. service very slow, waitress seemed liked she didn't even care about serving us, just asking us how things are when she happened to walk by. it took her 20 minutes to get drinks to our table, we were at the table for 30 minutes before we got our appetizer, (which another waiter brought), 50 minutes for our food, (again another waiter brought our food), she never cleared any empty dirty dishes from our table, again a different waitress did and someone brought us the bill for payment. the biggest thing is that we told our waitress we had a 7:30 show at the pabst, she was so lazy and slow we almost had to take our food to good without eating, so we ended rushing and eating quickly to make it to the show on time. i also saw another couple that ate there at the show and ask them how their experience was at "rock bottom", they had the same terrible service. well there is 6 people that will not be returning customers.

good. had the mac & cheese- it was really good. tried the seasonal pumpkin ale and it was also a good choice. tasted the salmon and the flavors were great and cooked well. would be a great place to go and have beers in the summer- outdoor seating has amazing views.

disappointed. this weekend, 20 professionals were looking for an outside location to relax after dinner at approximately 11:30 pm. the staff at rock bottom brewery did not want to help us and suggested we go to the bar ourselves to get beverages (while they continued with their conversation). glad this place will not be considered for my 100+ company party. immediately removed this place from the list based on my recent experience. in this economy, everyone wants customers/business - it might be worth the cost to provide courtesy/manners training for rock bottom brewery staff.

poor service. i and 3 others went to rock bottom on saturday night around 10 pm. we went to the bar and one of our party, who wasn't drinking, was served a soda after some delay, but the rest of us were left standing there without service. eventually the bartender came back to our end of the bar and after some discussion about the beer options on-tap the rest of us were served. we paid for the round, including a tip. while sitting at a table right next to the bar we decided to order another round. at this point the bartender decided that we had had enough and refused to serve us. apparently one of our out-of-town guests appeared to be quite intoxicated (she wasn't) and the bartender decided we had had enough and refused to serve us. we weren't loud, had done nothing obnoxious, and still have no idea as to what it was we did to not be served. courtney, the bartender, indicated that it was at her and our waittress' disgression as to who would be served and that they, as a team, had decided we were not going to be served any additional drinks. that, and the fact our guest from out of town appeared intoxicated, apparently were the only deciding factors. i have never been asked to leave bar or refused service in my life and was embarrassed having it happen on saturday night. i'm a 45 year old technical professional and father of two.

i did call back and talk to the manager after getting back to the hotel. he indicated a manager should have been called rather than our service stopped without explanation. he took my number so he could call me back, but as of now i haven't heard from him. future trips to milwaukee will won't include rock bottom.
