rocco's tacos & tequila bar

food and service were good. a little over priced for what we got. salsa was just average. we got stuffed jalapeños rellanos and they were really good. my entree was the chili rellanos and it was good but not really remarkable. the best thing i tried was the grilled vegetables. they were excellent. service was a little slow but overall it was a pleasant experience.

maybe not so much for the tacos.... i went here on a company outing with a party of 8 (fyi: valet parking is $3.00). the atmosphere was pretty hip (i'm 28, so do the math on the era of hipness i'm talking about). the seating is great for large group and the bar area was always busy. the pitchers of drink were reasonably priced. i had the tequila punch and it was extremely tasty. the waiter informed us that the tequila was set in a pineapple to be infused in it before the mixed it with all the other mixes. i ordered the baja combination (1 grilled fish mahi taco, 1 rock shrimp taco, a small spinach and cheese quesadilla on a plate set up with a dollop of sour cream, guacamole, and pico de gallo on a bed of lettuce). i wasn't impressed with it. come on… it's two taco.. i don't care how fancy it looks on a plate.. it will always be two tacos for dinner). the table side guacamole (we ordered medium) was super yummy though and the other specialties that weren't taco looked and smelled super yummy. next time, i'll try one of the specialties. will come here again.

rocco's tacos never fails to impress me. this was the first rocco's i've dined in since i moved to florida. i've been to the one in delray beach and west palm beach and the service and food has been consistently good. it's always packed because well, it's just that good. on the weekend nights, you could be waiting up to an hour and a half for a table.

the food: a few of my favorites are the nachos and the chicken and beef hard tacos. of course the table side guacamole, chips, and fresh salsa. they make the guacamole right in front of you, what a great and unique concept. this marketing scheme will definitely keep bringing patrons back.

the drinks: their margaritas are always on point. it's not too tart and it's just perfect. my new favorite is the mango chili drink. it's so tangy and flavorful.

i will continually come back because i've always had a good experience here. they open late on saturdays too, 3 am!

we went there for a birthday dinner and we're told the wait was 30-40 mins and hour and a half later we were 2nd on the list and asked to speak to manager. william, very rude condescending fellow, told us we could go somewhere else. didn't apologize or give us any solution just excuses. my friend and i have oh worked in the business in fort lauderdale restaurants and if we had ever spoken to a customer the way william spoke to us, we would have been fired!

can't believe he is a manager and allow d to speak to young customers as such.

will never ever go back there again!

good food and good drink.
the only problem with it is that it is very hard to get a place there.
the food was good and quick to come. i ate at the bar and was well treated

rocco’s tacos brings together mexican cuisine, a diverse cocktail bar, lively crowd, beautiful venue and perfect atmosphere. with over 425 varieties of tequila, they pride themselves on making their own sour mix.  rocco’s tacos is so much more than a restaurant, it’s a place to have fun. we had so much fun that after we came for lunch to enjoy the food, diva #1 returned at night to enjoy rocco’s tacos nightlife.

guacamole is great. other than that, it is more american mexican food than anything. for real mexican food with out the las olas price tag, go
to jalisco around corner on federal.

awesome evening with good food, good friends, and good service. we enjoyed their house margarita (two pitchers), freshly made table-side guacamole, and famous tacos. one member of the group had and chimichanga and i enjoyed the skirt steak quesadilla. it was delicious as always. didn't have room for their divine churros. love roccos!

came to this las olas location one night during my stay in the area. great, great spot. gets crowded even on weekday nights. big tourist attraction known for some of the best mexican food around. waited about 30 mins for a table. didn't mind- grabbed some awesome margaritas at the bar during happy hour. had a great waitress after we were seated. great service. we immediately ordered guacamole for the table, made table side. one of the better guacamoles i've had. their chips are delicious even by themselves. a salty, chipotle type seasoning on the chips made for a delicious starter. i ordered the surf & turf molcajetes, which is a collection of shrimp, skirt steak, chorizo, and chicken with sweet potatoes and vegetables in a fajita type sauce served in a red hot "lava rock" bowl. it's their version of a fajita platter. absolutely incredible. came with four fajitas and all the fix-ins. awesome, awesome dish. my girlfriend ordered a chicken taco and a carne asada taco. both were very, very good. ordered a few more margaritas at the table too since those were great too. overall great spot for very good mexican food if you're in the area. highly recommend.

awesome place that changed my mind to mexican food!  service is great, prices are worth it, lots of tequilla go into the margaritas, custom-mixed guac at your table, and the tacos are phenomenal and fresh!  turns into a club late nights, but for dinner it's certainly a stop to behold on las olas!  i've been here several times now and it's been top notch every time!  best mexican in sofla.

absolutely delicious. i got 3 tacos and he got the spicy chicken chimichanga and chips and salsa to share. everything was superb. just enough spice and the chips were warm with a tasty seasoning. wish we would have tried the guac! next time for sure!

we had one of the best nights here!
we showed up on a friday night for dinner after bumping into people recommending it to us on the water taxi and found the place to be cram packed. we were advised of the 1 hr wait which we were fine with and trotted off to the bar area to make the time pass. i enjoyed my mojitos while the hubby went for the sangria jugs. soon enough we were seated in the outdoor area and our meals arrived in good time. the music, buzz, staff, and atmosphere were all great fun. top night out!

a fun and lively place to grab a drink or stay a while for happy hour, but not so much for having an amazing meal.  

came to south beach for couple of days. asked around were the locales like to go and this place got recommended to us! went there for lunch , there was no wait, service was quick!! absolutely loved the food. drinks not so much, margaritas were just too strong and not that good and 12$ a piece. the food itself i though it was very reasonably priced, but that is coming from somebody that ate in south beach all the time and their prices are just ridiculously outrageous !!

late night. was staying on the beach and wanted something yummy to eat. we decided on tacos. great looking place and the food was good too. guacamole was very tasty and i decided to pass on the tacos and have a wonderful burger it was simply delicious! he had the chicken cobb which was really good too. the prices were not to bad especially for the area. will go back.
