tops. my wife and i love to eat out. though we now live in northern florida and summer near asheville, both of which we're very fond of, we often miss the food extravaganza that our former home in new york offered. asheville is becoming a really hot destination, with lots of innovation, but jacksonville has had a dearth of exciting places for a city of its size. having read reviews of orsay for some time, i was dying to go, but hesitant at the same time, in fear that it would not live up to its stellar ratings. well, it does. four of us dined there last night, and ate and drank ourselves into a blissful happiness. particularly recommended are the apalachicola oysters, the escargots, gazpacho (offered as soup du jour on our visit), the wonderful eden farms berkshire pork chop, and the pan roasted fish. oh, and the chocolate bouchon and apple pecan bread pudding! can't wait to return........
