unfortunately no. so we are 4 months in now since the opening and this was our 6th visit but the first time for dinner. what a shame! the poor service on the previous visits has been partially rectified with attentive staff but i still dont understand why ere are so many staff walking around trying to lokk busy. its gives an air of confusion. not the right atmosphere for dinner. and while they we very attentive its a pity they still didnt get the drinks or meal order right. how hard can it be? to the food.....in the past we have had the pizzas which are sensational. last night we went for the a la carte dinner menu. not sure what the gnocchi was like as they bought out ravioli instead. the pork filling was good but the shells needed more time in the pot. the rack of lamb was a shocker. ordered it medium well done and when it arrived it was still bleeding. well.....what meat there was. it was the fattiest lamb ever.. and because it was undercooked the large fatty slabs were inedible. the accompanying beans with bacon were incredibly fatty and rich as well. if you like fatty food you will love it. given we are locals we have been hoping that this would work a treat. its a wonderful renovation and the wine list is superb but the service stills needs a lot of work and the food weve had apart from thegreatpizzas certainly dont match up to the many options in the area. overall.....if you can handle ordinary service call in for a pizza. if you want something more...definitely go to the many other places in the area. for us...we will wait another few months and try again.....we so want this place to work!!!!

steve. we've been to the shed at the epicurean four times now. on every occasion we have hadgreatfood, an excellent wine selection with reasonable prices considering the quality of the establishment.
it has a relaxedgreatatmosphere with 3 open fires in the cold weather. despite the relaxed atmosphere the staff are attentive, friendly and efficient. guisseppe attended to us today and he was witty as well as attentive.
would recommend this place to anyone.

diners from brisbane. we enjoyed the food at the epicurean - the seafood dishes of pasta and risotto were superb, and the service was terrific. our waiter, guisseppe livened up the evening with entertaining repartee.
agreatnight!

genuine service, greathonest food. dined here with 2 friends last weekend and we were all very hungry. giuseppe looked after us and nothing was too much of an effort for him. he was friendly, funny and very attentive, making sure that we all had enough to eat. he even bought over a complementary chicken wrap for one of us in order to satisfy our hunger. the food was amazing and the beer on tap delicious. atmosphere was excellent. a really enjoyable dining experience. would definitely go back.

after the usual trawl through urbanspoon before heading to a new venue, i was a little reserved about what to expect with epicurian. overpriced? poor service? over rated? for my experience, these thoughts couldn't be further from the truth. what agreatlong lunch venue, with beautiful, fresh and wholesome italian fare. our mini-me/ telly savalas ( his words) waiter was charming and efficient through out, and though i wouldn't call our lunch cheap, for the quality presented i've got no complaints. happy to recommend and more than happy to return.

the venue is stunning, agreatplace to chill for a while and enjoy a glass of wine and some food. the pizzas were amazing as was the bread…seriously…the bread! delicious. what really let this place down was the service, it was exceptionally slow and they even forgot our pizza order completely. and with no apology offered when we queried it, disappointing. the spinach gnocchi was also tasteless. overall its agreatplace for a pizza and a glass of vino but for the high price tag ($18 for bread and oil) you may want to look elsewhere.

this is the second time checking out the popular epicurian and feel i had a very similar experience with the good bits and the not so good bits!

the good bits: the vibe and ambience on a saturday or a sunday is awesome - everyone seems to have having a good time and the vibe is just cool with nice lighting and big open seating area that feels like you’re in a big barn. the food is delicious and prices are reasonable.

not so good bits: the hidden, sneaky prices of the bread! we got caught out with this the first time we came here so the second time we were very keen to hear how they proposed the bread option. our waiter who was super friendly and charismatic - said “do you want to have some bread to nibble on while you think of what to order?” sure sounds good we replied - out comes a quarter loaf of bread (which is amazing) with olives and oil....so it’s not just to nibble on and they forget to explain you’re actually ordering this as a starter for $17. bit sneaky and probably not agreatway to pitch it as then it put us off ordering starters that we genuinely did want because of the bread. so if you were none the wiser - you’d perhaps think maybe they were very generous on their free bread - however it got to half way through mains and we were still nibbling at the bread and along comes the waiter who clears it away...again if complimentary you wouldn’t be worried but after paying your $17 you’d kinda want to be asked whether you were done with the bread.
finally, as the barn open space has large tables - we were placed on the end of a table with other people so our romantic intended dinner for two wasn’t so romantic. we noticed many other couples also were seated the same.

overall i still love this place and i would definitely return but feel the bread thing is a tad sneaky in how it’s offered and would warn others if you’re not expecting it. although it is delicious!

agreatplace to stop with the family. a large venue catering for groups and the service was fantastic. we devoured the focaccia and dips and the traditional margherita pizza. the kids and adults loved every bit. plenty of space but be sure to book during busy times.

i have been to the epicurean about 4-5 times now and love it. my first visit was for a pre-wedding party which was held in the private room (beautifully line with wine barrels).
my most recent visit was for dinner last night and again it didn't fail to impress us. despite my slight hit of illness (which limited what i could eat on the night) our table shared a salumi board, polenta fries, a dante pizza with pork belly and truffle paste, wagyu gnocchi and the pan fried barramundi with fennel puree and salad.

all the food was delicious - the polenta fries were very thickly cut and paired perfectly with the slight dusting of smoked paprika and mayo. the pizza was unreal and was unanimously touted as being in the top 5 pizzas we had all eaten. perfect balance of truffle and pork!

i am a big fan of the epicurean - its such agreatspace for all sorts of occasions. big enough to host private functions with separate spaces to cater for bigger groups, i also love the big warehouse main dining area. it's spacious enough to host a big event or enjoy a quiet dinner.

will be back anytime i'm back - so good!
