ray's ny pizza

ok, i'm ordering to be delivered to a hotel . no napkins or forks or anything. garlic knots had no garlic!pizzawas horrible, cheese was barely melted. this place had a great rating too bad they had terrible pizza. when i'm in town from now on i will never order anything from this place again!

the best. one of my first reviews, but i have to give these guys props. been going here 3 or 4 times in the past few months and this place is def #1 for not just ny style pizza..but allpizzajoints in the 757 in terms of slice size and flavor.

not only that, but i called and made a late order request tonight and they were more than accomodating as they could have said no (were about to close). overall, the best. get some and enjoy. this will be my go to spot that i go to for out of town guests in the mood for fast italian food from now on...

i was sick of the manufactured crap pumped put bypizzahut, dominos, insert name of any other chain gang here. i googlepizzajoints near me, saw the reviews, tried it...this is now my newpizzaplace. my mother, from brooklyn, also approved. you should do yourself a favor, and try it!

absolutely great!. i've been coming here for years. the staff is always friendly. this is my favoritepizzaplace in the area. aside from the pizza, all their other food choices are great too! a++

great pizza, bad service. we order from rays at least three times a month. lately their service has gone downhill. they often do not want to honor coupons. many timespizzahas come 1.5 hours+ late and/ or is cold. if they didn't have the bestpizzaaround, i wouldn't bother.

we stopped to pick up an 18 inchpizzafrom ray's nypizza.the cheese they use is of high quality, the sauce is of great flavor, the crust and dough was tasty.greatpizza!!!!

yummy, reasonable and friendly!. thepizzawas great, the food in general, but more importantly, the service was great. the staff was very friendly and did not hesitate to accomodate our party of six with a toddler at 5:00 pm on a saturday! we will go back there!

this is the bestpizzaplace in hampton roads i don't wanna even try any others pizzas from different places.i trust nice people over there they always take care about their quality:always fresh ingredients ,hand tossedpizzaand crispy crust.. they r doing great job

worst customer service in hampton roads. ordered apizzaon sunday night @ 5:40pm, was told 45mins to an hour for delivery on the phone. had to repeat my address 3 times and my card number 4 times to the incompetent girl who took my phone order. at 7:15pm called back since i have yet to receive my delivery (2.2 miles from the store). the girl on the phone said its just getting ready to leave (over 1 1/2 hours later). when i asked to talk to a manager (mike), i was told that "i was not the only customer, that's just how it is" no apology or compensation was offered. i told the manager to cancel the order, his response was "ok, no problem.. " he didn't try to keep a customer or offer anything then either. asked for a confirmation number for the refund. was told that he doesn't have it and they were going to process the refund at the end of the night. i could come in the next day and pick up a receipt.. what?? are you serious. after some arguing, he did the refund over the phone (or so he said) and have me a 2 digit number... sounds sketchy. with all thepizzaplaces in the area, this is by far the worst customer service i have ever received. they do not care about their customers.

thus far, this is the best ny stylepizzain the area, hands down. i say style bc nothing tastes quite like nypizzaother than what's found across the gw bridge, but this is probably of the best you'll get in va beach.

true new york pizza.... although i can't say i have tried everything the menu has to offer, i will say that their pizzas a truly authentic in terms of new york style and flavor. dominos, pizza-hut, papa johns, and many other popular run-of-the-mills....they're all a joke. it's like comparing mcdonald's mcrib to a pit master's bbq. it's a step up from sbarro'spizzaand just shy of traveling to italy to get thepizzafrom the source. when i wantpizzai'm looking for authentic, and ray's definitely lives up to it. on a side note, i did try their tiramisu. other viewers are right, it is a pre-packaged little cup (a very small portion for the price) that tastes very bland and lacks any flavor. but overall, given the portion you receive for the price, they are certainly generous with quantity on items that aren't already packaged to sell. ray's is my go to pizzeria.

greatpizzaother items on the menu..eh not so much. i had been looking forward to trying ray'spizzafor a long time. i'd recieved coupons in the mail and figured why not try them (plus i have been looking for a place that had that "ny style" type of pizza). i decided to try a few items on the menu and was pleased with thepizzabut very dissappointed with the other items that i had selected. my buffalo wings were dry and not edible at all . i also decided to try the zeppolis which i thought you could never go wrong with ....boy was i wrong ....they were horrible and extremely chewy. my advice to people is if you want goodpizzaat a decent price they're worth giving a try but anything else i'm sorry to say will be a waste of money.

great pizza. we eat at ray's all the time. one of the best pizzas i've ever had. the price is good as well. their largestpizzawon't fit in the front seat of my van.

i have been disapointed in their winds lately. they changed their bbq sauce; which used to be awesome, to something with little flavor. please change it back. i miss my wings.

flavorless "italian" food. ray'spizzamay be worth the raving reviews but so far nothing else on their menu is. my boyfriend and i ordered the chicken parmigana dinner and the meat ravioli with a couple tiramisu for desert. the chicken parmigana was overcooked, soggy and barely edible. the meat ravioli had virtually no flavor at all. the "garlic knots" that were supposed to come with the meal were just two tiny slices of soggy bread that had not even a hint of garlic flavor. one slice had a small dribble of oregano on it but that was the only flavor at all. the salad was more onions than lettice with a thimble of dressing given with it. the tiramisu was an utterly complete rip off. they're the pre-packaged frozen tiramisu that have virtually no flavor at all and are small. you can buy them in bulk at sam's or costco for a lot cheaper and not something i expected to be re-packaged and sold here. this was the worst, most tasteless meal i've had in a long while.

fantastic!. great service - everyone was welcoming and quick to answer questions.

great food - sausage/pepperonipizzawas perfect, and the breaded mushrooms were awesome.

great price - no complaints there at all.

we will definitely go back again and again.
