this restaurant is located in jersey city. we were a group of four and went there last month. the ambiance of the place was nice. 

the chicken biryani gives you the authentic indian taste. the naans were properly cooked and the curries tasted well. 

totally recommended if you're looking for tasty indianfoodin jersey city.

i loved the decor mandala ceiling cool light fixtures.. i wanted to leave with the kamasutra bathroom door. the waitress was sassy.
unfortunately thefoodwas not really good. it was like messing up indianfood& throwing a curveball with american twist..(we like our indian classics just fine thank you) missing the sauces and all those spices and chutneys.

nice ambience.. i love the tandoor/kebab platter.foodis always great, although we got weird tasting veg biryani once when we ordered for a party. otherwise staff is great. you can party with a small group in the isolated area here.

an amazing place in jersey city which serves very tasty chicken biryani.

visited this place on a weekend night with family. the staff was quick in their service.

nice ambiance andfoodtasted good.

must try their chicken biryani and their rasoi special biryani.

thefoodis nowhere to be found even after 2 hours, the staff is so illiterate and rude after asking about the order multiple times they hung up. kept saying 5 mins and after 10pm they closed their restaurant. terrible service, never ordering again and will never recommend.

when you are far away from your homeland and want to really enjoy some good indianfoodthen rasoi is the place to opt for. one of my absolute favourite thing to order from here is the paneer bhurji and dal makhani. i was extremely pleased with the quantity which is enough for 3 members. coming to the taste, dal makhani was sheer love and their paneer bhurji was just amazing. i have already ordered this combo many a times and would definitely consider ordering from here once again.

very goodfoodtake home very systematic tried butter chicken and chicken biryani both very good. will visit again pricing very reasonable. ambience looks good though i have taken only take away.

very bad service. i went for week day lunch buffet and nofoodavailable in any containers.
no naan during entire meal. ended up having only daal rice for $11 buffet meal.
and on top of that no server is responding to anything.
will not go again and will ask everyone to not to go. pathetic.
zero stars.

i have been to rasoi a few times now and thefoodis pretty standard. the only item that is truly outstanding is the "khurkuri bhindi" . this is essentially a starter made of deep fried okra seasoned with chat masala and comes with mint and tamarind chutneys. decent place for a meal!

i celebrated my husband's 35th there last saturday and while we were a bit worried about the portions of the group menu at first, we ended up really enjoying the food. they could probably increase the portions of the apps and salads so people aren't so afraid to serve themselves. still it was quite good. what was lacking was in the service, half filled glasses of vodka and wine were being picked up, drinks took 20 minutes to be served and the waitress was overall unpleasant making comments about how long it took one person to finish a drink (although drinks were being ordered constantly). while i liked thefoodas well as the price and thought it was nice twist to traditional indian, i would never go back strictly because of the service.

went here for the weekday buffet, it was very nice. thefoodwas good, and catered to allfoodlovers, me having a sweet preference, was wholly satisfied with the chicken tikka masala and samosa chaat etc. and all for a very reasonable price. appearance from outside does not look very good but inside is very warm and cosy with friendly staff. good stuff!

always with the aim of assessing a restaurant against what else is out there in its own space, we deem rasoï a standout because it did to indian cuisine what its saint-henri cohort, cho, did to asian. both made their respective ethnicities'foodfun, contemporary and creative. and while we thought a couple dishes fell flat, we still enjoyed the overall proposition, from the attractive décor to the tasty food.

loved it!! the service, ambiance andfoodwas bang on! exactly what we were looking for on a cold snowy night.... the curry of the night, a piping hot bowl of thai inspired noodle soup was absolutely incredible along with the indian inspired dishes we ordered as our main. the chicken jalfrezi and kale paneer were bursting with flavour and served piping hot. it's apparent that there's a lot of passion in this place. the service was genuine and personable and the ambiance was lovely. perfect for date night or a fun night with friends. great job! ♥

we really enjoy thefoodserved here. they have a ton of options to select from. the ambience is good but parking can become a hassle during peak hours; although there are two paid parking garages very near to the restaurants. we generally prefer to order it at home as it is convenient for us. their chicken biryani is good and i absolutely love their garlic naan. however, keep in mind that thefoodcan be spicy so ask them beforehand. we generally ask for the mild version and even the mild is pretty spicy.

visited first time today. average experience.foodquality is good, little bit on the expensive side. they should increase the quantity for the same price. also the service needs a little improvement.
