good!. this place is wonderful! nice atmosphere, good food, and wonderful bread pudding!
my family had reservations here on a saturday night last september. (by the way, if you don't have reservations, you most likely will not get a table.) even with reservations, we still had to wait. i'm not sure how long the wait was, but enough for the whole family to look inside the adjacent shop and afterward still wait for our buzzer to go off.
when it was time for us to get seated, we were greeted by a wonderful and knowledgable staff. ragland road's "free bread" starter consists of irish soda bread and a sweet guinness reduction with olive oil dipping sauce. the dipping sauce is to die for, although it wasn't enough sauce for the amount of bread they served, in my opinion.
for the entree, i had ordered thefishand chips. when it arrived, it was presented beautifully in a wire-shaped cone in which the server emptied onto my plate. it was a single friedfishwith fresh tartar sauce and very thickly cut french fries. when i saw the portion size, i was disappointed. but after i was finished eating, i was so full that i didn't really have room for dessert! thefishwas very moist and delicious! and while i prefer thin "fast food" style fries, raglan road's fries were really good.
i was on the disney dining plan, so i ordered a dessert anyway. my sister-in-law raved about ger's bread pudding the last time she went to downtown disney, so i opted for that. when the bread pudding arrived, the pudding itself was in a large "mug", and there were two sauces on the side. our server suggested that we empty the pudding onto the plate so that the two sauces could cover every inch of the pudding. we did and it was so good!
my only con with ragland road is that it doesn't offer many entree options that i would eat, so for me, the menu is kind of limited. but of the food that i did eat, i thoroughly enjoyed it.
