this is a fun place to go to if your in the downtowndisneyarea. it's a big place with a beautiful rotunda ceiling. there are 2 large bars (from what i saw) and a stage. the place seems circular so i would think most seats are pretty good for any shows that are going on. most of the staff that we delt with were friendly and efficient but not irish. started with a celtic martini, very good but not very strong, consisted of bushmills irish honey, rum, pineapple and citrus. dh got a flight of beer. our appetizer of nom nom wings were really good, they are sweet ‘n spicy wings tossed in a honey, chili flake, soy & ginger sauce. they were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. our bread basket was a dark bread, not sure what the bread was but the dipping sauce was guinness, sugar and olive oil. my entree of raglan risotto was creamy and delicious, it had shiitake mushrooms, peas and shaved parmesan cheese, only complaint here would be that some of the mushrooms were a little to chewy and the shaved parmesan cheese was inedible. dh's salmon of knowledge was cooked nicely and the maple glaze on top gave it a sweet, crisp taste, very nice. of course the best part of this place is that at 6pm you get free entertainment with the irish step dancers, they were very talented. wonderful show. there is more entertainment throughout the evening. great place even if your not irish (which i'm not).
note: it surprised me that the ladies room was missing supplies and not very clean. come on disney, get on your game!

i had the go (at) fig (ure) salad with chicken. it was really good!! it had been a hot day and we just wanted to get a break from the heat and come inside. it was the perfect retreat. the beer was cold and food delish! great service. we has some friends with us from ireland (and we used to live in dublin) and we all felt that it captured an authentic irish spirit. at least as much as can be expected for adisneyrestaurant.

great pub food and entertainment. based on the reviews, we booked reservations here for our first night in town, and we were not disappointed!

note that this venue is located in downtown disney, which as of our visit in may 2015 was massively under construction. do not let that discourage you. as always, disneymanages parking and crowds well if you have a dose of patience. give yourself plenty of time to get here, get parked, and get to the location. to be safe, i’d plan 45-60 minutes at the least. if you are early, there are plenty of shops to browse along your way in.

we started with the midlands flight of whiskey and loved it. we knew we would be ordering drinks with dinner, so we shared the flight. a perfect start to our business/vacation.

the entrees we ordered are listed as follows on the menu:

"keen eye for the shepherd’s pie - we give the traditional shepherd’s pie a little makeover with our contemporary twist to this favorite dish

kevin's heavenly ham - irish mist glazed loin of bacon with savoy cabbage, colcannon potatoes, parsley cream sauce and a raisin cider jus."

yes, they give shepherd’s pie a twist, and it is a twist worth taking. the presentation is classy, yet still consistent with the dish’s rustic roots. the flavors are deep and well developed. the person i was with ordered this dish and loved it; i sampled a taste.

i ordered the heavenly ham, which is without doubt the most fully irish option on the menu. i have lived in ireland, and i can vouch for the authenticity. i would note, however, that this dish tasted far better than most i have had in irish pubs. the ham was tender and flavorful, while balanced perfectly with the, yes, yes, heavenly sauces. the sides were spot on, and this is an incredibly filling dish.

we also ordered whiskey cocktails with dinner, and sadly, i forgot their names! i think mine was the whiskey sour and the other one had lemon. if you like whiskey, i doubt you could go wrong with any of them.

we sat on the patio and were treated to a bit of irish music and dance. we took a moment to step inside where they offer more extensive shows. brilliant! grand! we loved sitting on the patio, but if you want the pub experience with entertainment, opt for inside eating. definitely a family friendly venue.

had been to this eatery indisneysprings once before. we must have eaten in the takeout section.

this time we ate in the great hall (my label). the battered & fried cod was a tad brittle on its underside (perhaps warmed up on the grill to order) & oily on the inside. the steak fries were the short, stubby potatoes freshly fried right out of the freezer. i won't be ordering my newly-found favorite beer, innis n' gunn, in the bottle ever again, only draft.

note: innis n' gunn is an amber scottish beer aged in old whiskey barrels previously used for scotch. omg!

we visited raglan road after several recommendations from a facebook page i am a member of that talks aboutdisneyfood.  i was very excited and had high hopes.  from the time we arrived, i was disappointed.  we waited about 30 minutes past our reservation time.  while we did have a good view of the stage, it was a high table that backed up to the bar so it felt very crowded.  our waitress was ok, service could have been a little better and more attentive. our appetizer was the spicy shrimp which was good but the shrimp was like the frozen bag shrimp you can get in any grocery store.  my daughter ordered the silly steak and i should have told her to order something else when we were told it only comes medium well because of the cut.  it was terrible, i think she ate 2 bites.  i had the raglan risotto which was good.  i was really looking for more flavor from the peas.  my husband ordered shepards pie with cheese.  it too was just ok.  i expected more flavor.  we also got a couple of sided the bacon baked beans which were just awful.  the beans were crunchy and i didn't taste any bacon and the au gratin potatoes which were our favorite part of the meal.  i know people all have different tastes but i really don't see what all the hype is about this place.  other than the dancing maybe, it was wonderful!

we have been to raglan road three times (twice for meals, once primarily for drinks), and we have been very pleased with our experiences. although there is a lot of competition in downtowndisney/disneysprings, every dish we have eaten (with one minor exception) at raglan road has been a standout.

the menu consists of a wide variety of irish pub dishes, dressed up a bit in many cases. it also manages to incorporate florida seafood dishes with irish preparations. the beer offerings are extensive, with many british, irish, and amercian beers on tap.

our most recent trip was for lunch in early august. we had the beef carpaccio and crock o' pate appetizers, and both were outstanding. the beef was especially high quality. for entrees we had the schnitzel savvy (fried ham schnitzel with a fried egg and smoked bacon baked beans -- very irish, very delicious, very heavy) and the cluck curry (the only slight misfire of any dishes we've tried here -- it was fine but lacked the bold flavor you're typically looking for in a good curry). in the past, i remember that the saucy salmon entree is particularly well-cooked and seasoned.  for dessert, we sampled a pair of traditional irish "puddings." the bread and butter pudding, which we've had twice now, is extremely rich but unique and really good. the steamed orange pudding is even better.

another great reason to come to raglan road is the authentic irish atmosphere. the dining room flows between eating areas and numerous bars, all richly appointed with wood. the main dining room is focused on a stage where step dancers and an irish rock band perform throughout the day and night. many of the wait staff and seemingly all the performers are irish. stained glass windows add to the irish vibe. service has always been very competent -- nothing problematic or outstanding about our visits either way.

overall, this is one of the most distinct cultural dining experiences you'll get atdisneyoutside of epcot, and it is well worth a trip.

raglan road irish pub and restaurant is nestled within the downtowndisneyshopping and dining complex. for those seeking a wonderful sunday brunch, a traditional sunday dinner or a weeknight escape to a festive atmosphere, raglan road irish pub and restaurant should be at the top of your list, year-round. i recently visited raglan road for their popular rollicking raglan sunday brunch...

stopped into the raglan road irish pub and restaurant while at downtowndisneywith my girlfriend yesterday for lunch and it did not disappoint! the food was great as was the service from our waitress, jen. we had the dalkey duo for an appetizer which was something that we had never had before--battered and fried sausages with a mustard dipping sauce. i ordered the shephards pie which was fantastic. the girlfriend had salad and soup which consisted of puréed potato, cabbage, and bacon--very tasty! we also split some of the "skinny chips" as recommended by other reviews and they were great! fries doused in garlic, shaved parmesan, and truffle oil. there was only one negative which would be how dry the soda bread was--i normally buy it at publix a few times a year and would have preferred to have gotten it from publix than raglan road. other than that, we had a great experience and will be going back again!

great anniversary dinner!. my wife and i recently celebrated our anniversary at raglan road. we had travelled to florida with my wife's grandma who volunteered to remain at our condo and look after the kids for the night so it was our only night out together on the trip and we chose carefully! we love canadian east coast and irish music so that heavily influenced our decision. the entertainment was as advertised. great music and great dancing. the food was also exceptional. we shared smokie city as an appetizer which was a delicious mix of smoked seafood & cheeses. i then had the "not a chowder" and my wife had the pork chop. the soup was very good and had a lot of different seafood, cooked perfectly. the pork chop was huge and had a very nice sauce, although the pork itself was somewhat dry. then came desert - and honestly one of the best deserts i've ever had. generally not a fan of bread pudding but as the waitress put it "she would later it all over her body and have a bath in it" haha. my wife and i agreed. amazing. my only complaint would be that it was a tad to "family friendly." we were looking for something a little more "pub-ish" but that is hard to come by atdisneyif you're looking for good food as well.

the tables were shaded and covered in dew.  while waiting for the table to be dried i wandered about.  the patio has the slight smell of stale beer and looked like a good place to spend an evening drinking and listening to music.  inside the pub looked as if it had been built in ireland and shipped todisney(i later learned this in fact had happened).

fun little pub.. great, casual restaurant in downtown disney. started with the scallop appetizer and they were cooked perfectly. the sweet chili sauce was interesting and very tasty. had the staples: fish and chips and shepherd's pie, and their taste and presentation didn't disappoint.. pricing is a bit steep, especially for only one filet, but what else can one expect from food ondisneyproperty. service was quick, but our waitress seemed to have too many tables, as she neglected to clean up a spill she caused on our table. surely will return if in the area, but will not return to downtowndisneysimply to eat here.

a nice start to our vacation. after walking around downtowndisneyfor 3 hours or so after getting to orlando, i was ready to sit in some air conditioning, have a beer and relax. raglan road was our dinner destination that first night. it was pretty crowded when we got there at 6:45 for our 7:00 reservations. you've got to love opentable.

we were shown to our table a couple of minutes after checking in. our server charles came by to get our drink orders. when he returned, i got the beer i was looking forward to. after the drinks were squared away, my wife ordered the portobello beauty and i had the paddy's pork. charles came by again to drop off some irish soda bread with an olive oil and sweet guinness reduction. luckily i didn't let my skepticism get the best of me and tried it. it tasted great. as we waited for the meals, creel, the house band started playing. they were good and added a nice note of authenticity to the atmosphere. our meals showed up not long after. i was glad to see how good the service was even with a full house.

the portobello beauty had a portobello cap, cheese, zucchini and a tomato jam. the paddy's pork was a sausage stuff pork loin served over leeks, cabbage, mashed potatoes with a honey soy glaze. the bread on the portobello dish became a bit soggy so my wife swapped it out for the slices of soda bread we had. she liked it much better like that. she said the tomato jam made the dish for her. the paddy's pork was very good. the loin was juicy and flavorful. all the accompaniments worked well with it. during the meal we enjoyed routines from three irish dancers. since our table was next to the stage, we got to see them up close.

the food, service and the ambiance of raglan road provided a very enjoyable experience for us. it was the high point of our day after the long drive to orlando.
