slow service. i made a 700 reservation on a saturday night i was not seated until 745 and i did not receive my food until 830. why did i make a reservation if i had to wait 45 minutes? the hostesses were rude when asked when my table would be ready since i had a small child with me. my food was okay nothing spectacular either. i ordered the chicken parm.

a welcomed addition. i think there are some people in this world who should just stick with chain italian restaurants. ragazzi is a beautiful new gem of a restaurant across from the smithaven mall. the owner, roger, is very attentive to his business and is almost always there, which is very important for consistancy.

the portions are not huge, but satisfying. if you order a pasta dish dont expect too many leftovers, but a meat dish and you may just want to force it down due to its greatness. the pollo lizanno is my personal favorite. chicken with a flower shaped piece of mozzarella stuffed with prosciutto and umm something else ontop, served in a divine pink cream sauce. instead of butter they bring a garlic humus to spread on a variety of breads, it takes a bit of courage and some getting used to but its rather addicting. also, ive never tasted food this fresh, its weird... you can just taste the freshness like a seperate flavor.

overall great restaurant and it is vying for the title of my local favorite italian joint, if i was forced to bring home a doggy bag it just might emerge victorious.

cozy and delicious. i've eaten at ragazzi five times now and enjoyed it every time. the service is wonderful and very friendly, the place is beautiful, and most importantly the food is perfect. i read a bad review of this place and it makes me question the person writing it. i love it there.

always the best!. food and service are always top notch, whether it be for lunch, dinner, party or other celebrations. atmosphere is beautiful, staff always friendly. my favorite restaurant!!

reservations mean nothing. i had a 7:30 pm reservation for two, myself and my wife. when we arrived it was very crowded but the hostess would ask each arriving party if they had a reservation or not. if not, then you would have a 1 to 1-1/2 hour wait.
we sat and waited for about 20 minutes. other parties arrived and waited also, but one couple arrived well after us and greeted the seating manager with hugs, handshakes and laughter. they obviously knew each other well.
about ten minutes later, this couple is being seated !! after another 20 minutes, i informed the hostess and then the manager what had just happened. he responded that he apologized for the delay and would seat us right now. i responded that that wasn't the issue. he had taken his buddy and companion well ahead of all the other p customers. he again apologized and offered us each a free drink or appetizer to make up for the long wait. he still didn't get it.
this seating manager needs to get his act together and respect the advance reservations made by his customers. he needs to stop letting his pals ahead of the line ,doing this right in front of waiting customers, basically saying to all the others,, 'they count and you don't.' we were finally seated at 8:30 p.m. for a 7:30 reservation.

we don't want free handouts offered to us for calling attention to inappropriate behavior on the part of this manager. we simply want this manager to treat all customers fairly and to act in a professional manner.

birthday dinner... my sister and brother in law took me here for my birthday.. excellent food, service and the owner introduced himself and bought us an after dinner drink..clean really nice classy place..

i would have no idea! this restaurant has a horrible hostess station with an even worse owner. we were told 30 minutes and waited over 2 hours before leaving. they kept telling us 3 more people were ahead of us. to top it all off we had a reservation. don't waste your time it can't be that good!

the food is amazing the service is top notch the owner is so friendly and attentive one of the best places to go to highly recommend it have been there several times never disappoint me gets better every time

ragazzis- good time. i like the drinks. i love the food. my husband loves the pesca dena with amaretti cookies and mascarpone. we've eaten there a few times. i love the penne con asparagi i really enjoyed my dish- pollo shabano last night. i loved the ragazzi razz (always have) and the martini with the rum floater.
the staff are really friendly and nice. i like the lighting and our reservations are right on time. (busy weekend too) the assortment of breads are good and what you put on the bread too. i really enjoy this place.

fantastic food, elegant nyc style decor, prompt upbeat staff, accommodating personal service, friendly professional management. the bar is hot the outdoor patio dining sets it far apart from any area dining spots. 5 stars

ate at bar & bartender was excellent. vodka sauce tastes canned and don't bother paying extra for the shrimp-miniature sized! white clam sauce was ok. hot antipasto was tasty except for stuffing on mushrooms and pepper-gooey. will come back for apps but not impressed with entrees.

my husband, daughter, and granddaughter, went there for easter dinner, the staff were great,and the food was wonderful,we will definitely go back.
