tikka was so delicious served with arabic 🍞 and the rice preparation looks like just turmeric powder soaked rice but when it touches your taste buds you can feel all spices.. soo good to eat...

we ordered meat mandi andchickenmandi. both did not have any taste. then we ordered cream kunafa as that was the only one that they had. couldn’t break a piece of the kunafa with the plastic fork. it was so hard and chewy. the person serving us said that this is all they have and gave us metal spoons. which also did not help as it was so chewy. he insisted that it was good kunafa and was upset when i asked him to take it back.
never coming back to this place.

they have the best and gentle hospitality.
service is very quick and taste of food is awesome.
quality and quantity is too good.

we didn’t get a nice welcome by the person (owner or manager maybe) at the entrance but a very nice waitress walked us to a family room and we realized how cute the place was! service was very fast, you get complimentary soup, salad and tomato spicy sauce. we got mutabal which was ok (it tasted like there was a lot of labneh in it), then grilledchickenwith raisins rice (can’t remember the name). thechickenwas very well cooked (not dry at all) and tasty, the rice was good also and a veryyyy nice portion (we had leftovers). the bread was good too. they also gave us complimentary cloves tea at the end, which was yummy and a nice touch. we paid 50 aed (including water and breads) which is a super fair price. we would definitely go back.

environment is good with privacy that really nice.
pricing is average, food is really good.
they said 1 plate is for 1 individual and we ordered 3 plates but we could finish only 2 (we are 4).
the grilledchickenwas really good even on the rice. loved the mandi rice and grilled chicken, the orange rice bhukkad rice not so much. it was sweet with tons of dried grapes on it. we ordered madfoon too but thechickenwas not good, i mean for us because it wasn’t flavorful so i will go only for grilled.
the hammus was really good.
they also give cinnamon tea at the end of the meal.
i would recommend this place, it’s my second time visiting.

a serious drop in the quality of their kababs and kunafa!

we decided to visit qasr al afghan mandy restaurant in ras al khaimah again, as we had a good experience with their kababs and mandi on previous occasions.

we visited there for a friday lunch.

here is a review of what we ordered on our previous visits as well as at the present one:

the mixed grill platter used to be so tasty - this time it look oily and the browned meat was actuallychickenkabab on the inside. out of seven, there was only one string of grilled lamb cubes - all the others were chicken. i feel we were cheated on this one.

the mutton mandi was delicious but one of the pieces contained less meat and more of a layer of skin on it.

the kunafa was not only a let down, it was a disaster!! we could not figure out whether it was filled with cream, cheese or semolina!

not sure, if we will visit them again.

the staff is quite friendly. the ambience is nice. there is free parking just outside the restaurant.

highly recommended. we triedchickenmandy and kababs.chickenmandy rice was bland to me as little spice suits indian palette. i have no idea about other mandy recipes, may b they are little spicy or this is how afghani cuisine is. but best thing was kababs. i never had such juicy kababs in my life. if u ever visit this place u must try kebabs. staff was very cordial. overall i was very happy visiting this restaurant

very nice food.. tried mixed kabab andchickenmadhbi.. kabab was very nice.. especially mutton kabab.. very polite staffs.. i had a very bad experience of having 2 small stones in the rice they served which causes my teeth to pain for almost 1 week.. so i gave this rating.. everything was good except the stone which they serve along with the rice..

before we had tried their magbhi and mandi... that also quite good
just that now the service has gone so down.. they don't respond with the bell ring.. all the time we had to go out and find them staff and order or ask etc
that's the only bad thing about this place

i had food delivered from qasr al afghan mandi in ras al khaimah. the kefta kebab was absolutely fantastic. the packing was sophisticated and delivery prompt as well. althoughchickenmandi was bland in taste and their zomato menu is out dated, so it's better to call up the restaurant for the current rates.

kefta kebab was the best. it was served with fries, hummus, bread and salad. mandi needs to be improved quite a lot. hope to see a delicious mandi from them in the future.

food - we orderedchickenand fish mandi. i must this place has one of the best mandis in uae. a must try if you visit rak. 5/5

oh yes! very good, solid mandi style dishes, with a really traditional feel in the restaurant.chickenwas so well cooked the meat basically fell off the bones and jumped in my mouth on its own! ;) good freshly-baked bread, heart soup, and gigantic dollop of yoghurt. overall very happy and full! nap time!

this place has an awesome ambience. i just love the floor seating option. the antique arabic decor on the walls, the classic colored lamps. and excellent staff service. very courteous and quick too.

i guess i had the best mashawi of my life here. all the meats were cooked so soft and succulently until perfection. fresh, soft naan. tried their mandi rice with goat meat and bukhari rice withchickenburnt on coal. both were superb. the mutton was so soft and delicious. even the rice was smelling excellent. thechickenwas well spiced up and burnt. the kunafa we tried was scrumptious as well.

although people say this place is rated a bit costly. i think it's all worth the price 😊
