good pizza concept. 1) parking in the back is limited to maybe 15 cars, if it's packed just park next door at the bank.
2) during the week if you are going to eat here you better show up early... i arrived at 11:45.. by the time i stood inlineand placed my order it was almost noon and thelinewas out the back door and down the steps.
3) the concept is fabulous. . it's one thing to go somewhere and place an order and tell them what all you want and hope they get it right... but here its set up like a subway and you watch them put everything on your pizza/salad.
4) i have no idea why the girl who took my original order at the front of thelineneeded to know that my gluton free crust request was due to a food allergy..
5) they bring your pizza out to you after it has sat in the fire oven for a few minutes. ....
6) didn't really seem to have enough seating for the amount of business they were getting. ..
7) all in all the pizza i ordered was great and the unsweet tea was good as well.

good pizza!. this place is a gem in midtown memphis. ironically enough my mother took me to this place for lunch. i can honestly say the bbq pizza was great! fresh and pipping hot when it arrived at my table. the place looked clean (which is a major thing for me), bathrooms were clean even during the lunch rush. but back to the food... it was great!!! i would definitely go back. thelinewas a little long but what do you expect at lunchtime.

pyro's is on fire!. first of all, full disclosure: i love pizza. i could seriously eat pizza every single day and never get bored with it. c'mon, it's got all the major food groups except dessert. it's fabulous. also, i 'll eat just about any pizza, even bad school cafeteria style pizza. it's pretty hard to muck it up for me. it can be done -there at least two major chain pizzas you couldn't pay me to eat- but it's a rare experience.

i more than like pyro's pizza. i truly, madly, deeply love it. i'm a thin crust kind of guy anyway, and their flatbread style crust is simply wonderful. i also love the "subway" style of walking thelineand picking out exactly what i want on it, and folks there's an abundance of different toppings, at least 40 of them. you get loads of veggies, meats, cheeses, and sauces from which to choose. the best part: you get as many as you like for one low price. it's 8 bucks whether you get 2 toppings or 20.

one tip: get the 11 inch pie. a 7 inch is offered, but it's barely a couple of bucks less. in this instance, size definitely matters, with the larger the better value.

on my most recent visit, i had them spread half the pizza with spicy marinara sauce and the other half with pesto and added gorgonzola instead of the pedestrian mozzarella. i love the fact that there so many different cheeses from which to choose. the staff makes it exactly to order, and they're all terrific. they build your pie in front of you, and if you want more items or the pie constructed in a different way, they're happy to do it for it. the service at the union location is exceptional. and to seal the deal, there's a nice selection of wine and beer available if you wish to imbibe.

granted, pyro's is new to midtown. clearly, they're off to a good start and firing on all cylinders. i hope they continue to offer yummy pizza at a fair price with friendly service. i wouldn't go anywhere else for a pie. sorry memphis pizza cafe. time to step your game.

pyro's fire fresh pizza just opened up a second location on union avenue in midtown. their original location is at poplar and ridgeway in east memphis; i've been there several times. every time has been great. i stopped by the new spot last week.  inside the new pyro's fire fresh pizza on union avenue in midtown. the east memphis location is very similar. pyro's is fast casual, which means you order at the counter and then choose a seat in the dining room. you can choose between a personal (11 inch) pizza or a big salad. both are $8.30 no matter what toppings you pick. you can order a "speciality" pizza or salad – one where they've already suggested the toppings - or build your own. they also have sweet and savory dough "bites" for snacking or appetizers. the sparkly big oven at the east memphis pyro's. i got a poppy seed chicken salad to eat later and a build-your-own pizza for right away. once you go down thelineand pick out your toppings, pyro's sends your pie directly into the gi
