punch burger

i chose not to give only 1 star because of how friendly and engaging the staff was. however, thefoodwas so bad i literally was nauseous for hours afterward. $14 for a chicken sandwich and side salad, which i could handle if it was good! but the sandwich was not just burnt, but it looked as if they hadn't cleaned the grill since 1973. you can somewhat see this in the image. the bun, cheese and meat were all soaked with dirty, grimy grill grease. i felt sick. literally. i don't know why people like this place. really really gross. how could you let this low quality offoodgo to a guest? i'm disgusted, honestly.

hubby got the burger, i had the tacos, southern style, & canadian food. had to have thefooddescription explained. not a big menu options, but it was good. will return to try other options, have to be opened to try new things, & its worth it.

nothing wrong with this place at all. not quite fastfoodand not quite slow food. you can have a seat and get a semi quick meal. the fries are delicious. i got a burger with peanut butter on it and was pleasantly surprised.

overpriced.foodwas decent. service was good. bacon was chewy and had stringy fat. if you're in the mood for a great burger you must try boogie burger instead.

pricey but yummy.foodis a bit overpriced, but is very good. interesting variety of specialty burgers with some very fun flavors. really like the burnt cheese burger. they also have sweet potato tots, which are great.

we appreciate the wide array of topping/bun choices and its use of local ingredients. however, when one thinks locally sourced, delicious and flavorfulfoodgenerally comes to mind. unfortunately, that’s not exactly the impression we left with.

it's alright - burgers are dry andfoodtaste does not reflect the price. not a bad place but not somewhere i would go out of my way for :-/

after hearing about this place for a while i decided to give it a try. verdict... i really liked it and what i liked most was after i ate there i didn't feel disgusted with myself. let me explain. when i eat a burger and fries at other places i leave feeling stuffed and kind of greasy. not here! the burgers aren't huge which is good. who needs to actually stuff a 1/2lb burger down their throat?!? not me. i was full just not ridiculously stuffed! thefoodtasted good too which is obviously important. i got the classic punch burger. i love the homemade pickles. sweet potato tots were pretty good too. overall... delicious. i will be back.

i really like thefoodhere. the burgers are great. the service is seriously deficient, not unfriendly but rather mistake-prone, indifferent and neglectful. no phone orders, so even if you want yourfoodto go, you have to wait 10-20 minutes in a nicely decorated but vaguely hostile environment. i hope they get better because the concept is great. i can't go back due to the poor service.

good but.... i walked to punch burger for lunch on a monday around 12:20 p.m. it was busy, which was expected, but they did not have any turkey patties left...so i settled for a beef burger. i asked the woman who took my order what the size of a side item was but she did not give me an answer other than 'standard' which is to say...gave me no idea whatsoever! but, i also asked her to change my order from dining in to to-go because it was packed, and this was not a problem. thefooditself was good, but it didn't hold up well to a one-block walk. i found the bun to be extremely soggy and the waffle fries were mush. only 5 minutes passed from when i picked up my bag offoodto when i ate it, so i would suggest eating in the restaurant if you want it fresh. definitely bummed that by noon on a monday they were out of turkey, but i'll go back and try again once they have some. taste-wise, the flavors were good and the burger was good quality. it was a decently sized burger and the side was generous for one. if they had been less soggy (and turkey instead of beef!) i would have loved it. verdict: 3/5

fresh concept, goodfood, fast service in a cool space. local beer on tap to boot. great place to bring some friends for lunch. keep up the good work!
