simply delicious. i continued my quest to find the best burger in indy recently, and i may have found a winner in punch burger. the meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the toppings complimented it very well, and thebunwas toasted just right. oh, and the waffle fries were spectacular. the sweet potato tots were somewhat underwhelming, but everything else was phenomenal. my only recommendation would be for them to expand their choices of fries to match their large burger selection. they have waffle fries, why not add curly fries, steak fries, or shoestring fries? it would add a little more variety to their already stellar menu choices. just a thought.

this place has been opened for a while and has gotten some pretty good reviews. of course some folks complain about the prices. the burgers they offer are all $6.50, and they are all natural. whatever that means. sadly that is about normal for downtown, even for 6 oz. in addition to some specialty burgers you can pick just what you want from a pretty good list of options. pat usually is the more oblique part of the team but this time he was darn near gabby. he isn’t a big fan of grass-fed beef because he ran into a couple of tough steaks one time,so he views all grass-fed cows with suspicion. i settled for a cow burger,on a pretzelbunwith swiss cheese house made sweet pickles and a side of waffle fries. i agree with pat the burger was really good, when we ordered we were asked if we wanted our burger well done or a bit of pink. we both wanted pink and pink is what we got. the burgers are cooked on a flat top so you get a nice crispness. marry it with a bit of pink and you get a good little burger. they also do a nice job as pickle makers. a slightly sweet pickle is a great change of pace from the standard dill. they have a web site that shows the menu, but i don’t think it shows pricing. the burgers are $6.50, cheese $.65 and waffle fries are $2.25 while fries of the sweet potato variety cost $2.75. oh and they also sell beer and wine. i actually can see myself eating on their little patio this summer. burgers and beer and conveniently located. sounds good.

its just "ok". i was expecting more on my second visit here. i've recently made some diet changes and don't eat red meat anymore. my first time here i enjoyed the turkey burger and hated the fries (they tasted weird). i just had the veggie burger and was completely disappointed: under cooked, way too much mustard and thebunfell apart. not cool. that and it was all way over priced. i'm sorry to see one of the few places that offer a veggie burger be so lackluster. also, its way too loud in the restaurant. i will not be back.

great lunch burger. punch burger is a great addition to downtown dining. on a recent visit i tried the specialty blue burger, and was very pleased. the single patty burger was nicely done, but still very juicy, the sandwich was served on a heartybunthat held up throughout. the tangy blue cheese and onion added good flavor, and were properly portioned, so that each bite provided the full combination of burger/cheese/onion.

i was surprised that my side of waffle fries were coated with a battered that was similar to that of other chains curly fries. although i usually do not care for this treatment of potatoes, the punch burger waffle fries were quite good, and i will order them again.

expensive pretty good burger. the thai burger was just ok. there was hardly any peanut butter on the bun, and would have liked to have seen a bit more asian slaw on there as well. burger patty itself was cooked well (they don't ask for your preference), and thebunwas boarder line cold. payed almost $12 for a single with waffle fries and regular drink, which seemed a bit expensive. it was nice to see local beers on tap, but i'd suggest doing the make your own burger to maybe get more bang for your buck.

good but.... i walked to punch burger for lunch on a monday around 12:20 p.m. it was busy, which was expected, but they did not have any turkey patties left...so i settled for a beef burger. i asked the woman who took my order what the size of a side item was but she did not give me an answer other than 'standard' which is to say...gave me no idea whatsoever! but, i also asked her to change my order from dining in to to-go because it was packed, and this was not a problem. the food itself was good, but it didn't hold up well to a one-block walk. i found thebunto be extremely soggy and the waffle fries were mush. only 5 minutes passed from when i picked up my bag of food to when i ate it, so i would suggest eating in the restaurant if you want it fresh. definitely bummed that by noon on a monday they were out of turkey, but i'll go back and try again once they have some. taste-wise, the flavors were good and the burger was good quality. it was a decently sized burger and the side was generous for one. if they had been less soggy (and turkey instead of beef!) i would have loved it. verdict: 3/5
