punch burger

simply delicious. i continued my quest to find the best burger in indy recently, and i may have found a winner in punch burger. the meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the toppings complimented it very well, and the bun was toasted just right. oh, and the waffle fries were spectacular. the sweet potato tots were somewhat underwhelming, but everything else was phenomenal. my only recommendation would be for them to expand their choices of fries to match their large burger selection. they have waffle fries, why not add curly fries, steak fries, or shoestring fries? it would add a little more variety to their already stellar menu choices. just a thought.

i chose not to give only 1 star because of how friendly and engaging the staff was. however, the food was so bad i literally was nauseous for hours afterward. $14 for a chicken sandwich and side salad, which i could handle if it was good! but the sandwich was not just burnt, but it looked as if they hadn't cleaned the grill since 1973. you can somewhat see this in the image. the bun, cheese and meat were all soaked with dirty, grimy grill grease. i felt sick. literally. i don't know why people like this place. really really gross. how could you let this low quality of food go to a guest? i'm disgusted, honestly.

hubby got the burger, i had the tacos, southern style, & canadian food. had to have the food description explained. not a big menu options, but it was good. will return to try other options, have to be opened to try new things, & its worth it.

i highly recommend the sweet potato tots! we had the burnt cheese burger, and the punch bowl burger. both were great!!!!! would eat here again! the only down side is parking... we could only find $13 parking spots.... so my husband dropped me at the door and we ordered to go!

nothing wrong with this place at all. not quite fast food and not quite slow food. you can have a seat and get a semi quick meal. the fries are delicious. i got a burger with peanut butter on it and was pleasantly surprised.

i like how big the burger is, but bacon was too chewy & the fries were over cooked. the flavoring was good! i liked that the burger was juicy!

overpriced. food was decent. service was good. bacon was chewy and had stringy fat. if you're in the mood for a great burger you must try boogie burger instead.

the sweet potato tater tots, enough said! i like the mix and match abilities and the wide selection of toppings/variations. pretzel buns and spicy cheeses are my weaknesses, and they offer them both! i like the beef patty (which is large btw), but this last time it was a bit greasy. maybe next time i will try the veggie patty or turkey patty. so many choices and good quality make this a fun stop while downtown.

this place has been opened for a while and has gotten some pretty good reviews. of course some folks complain about the prices. the burgers they offer are all $6.50, and they are all natural. whatever that means. sadly that is about normal for downtown,even for 6 oz. in addition to some specialty burgers you can pick just what you want from a pretty good list of options. pat usually is the more oblique part of the team but this time he was darn near gabby. he isn’t a big fan of grass-fed beef because he ran into a couple of tough steaks one time,so he views all grass-fed cows with suspicion. i settled for a cow burger,on a pretzel bun with swiss cheese house made sweet pickles and a side of waffle fries. i agree with pat the burger was really good, when we ordered we were asked if we wanted our burger well done or a bit of pink. we both wanted pink and pink is what we got. the burgers are cooked on a flat top so you get a nice crispness. marry it with a bit of pink and you get a good little burger. they also do a nice job as pickle makers. a slightly sweet pickle is a great change of pace from the standard dill. they have a web site that shows the menu, but i don’t think it shows pricing. the burgers are $6.50, cheese $.65 and waffle fries are $2.25 while fries of the sweet potato variety cost $2.75. oh and they also sell beer and wine. i actually can see myself eating on their little patio this summer. burgers and beer and conveniently located. sounds good.

still darn good burger and waffle fries. hadn't been here for awhile. we all enjoyed our burgers! very fresh tasting! the good morning burger and waffle fries still very good! pics included. enjoy!

fresh meat & good service. was in the mood for a good burger and stopped by here the other night. did not disappoint. they use 100% fresh meat and it comes through in the taste. the service was pretty good. the restaurant itself has a somewhat sterile looking atmosphere. regardless, will be back here again for a great burger!

super super super overpriced! for $13 i got a burger with burnt cheese and a fried egg and literally no jokes i counted, 8 waffle fries! add a drink and you're at $13 and some change! the burgers not that great at all. i wouldn't waste my time or money on this place ever again!

pricey but yummy. food is a bit overpriced, but is very good. interesting variety of specialty burgers with some very fun flavors. really like the burnt cheese burger. they also have sweet potato tots, which are great.

we appreciate the wide array of topping/bun choices and its use of local ingredients. however, when one thinks locally sourced, delicious and flavorful food generally comes to mind. unfortunately, that’s not exactly the impression we left with.

it's alright - burgers are dry and food taste does not reflect the price. not a bad place but not somewhere i would go out of my way for :-/

pb stands out of the crowd. there are a lot of new burger joints out there, and many are underwhelming. punch burger is different. they source many of their ingredients including beef and turkey locally, they keep the menu small and simple, and the service is fast! add good prices, and craft beer on draft and you can't go wrong. if you haven't been to punch burger, you really need to try it out.
