we wanted a spinachpizzawithout mushrooms. they explained that since the spinachpizzais made from a premade mix, the mushrooms could not be removed and it was suggested we add spinach to the white pizza. when thepizzaarrived it was a cheesepizzawith 20 teensy pieces of spinach thrown on top. it was flavorless and certainly not worth $20. i called to express my displeasure and they refused to provide a refund. i won't order from them again.

excellent food and service. primopizzahas always been a good place to get a slice ofpizzaover the years, but they have truly built their restaurant into a local powerhouse that serves top notch italian dishes with super tasty pizza. locals favorite.

great food, but below par service.. primo's has really great food (and pizza), however, like the other posters have noted, the service is really sub-par. people say you have to wait in order to great food, however, primo's takes it to the limit. even though you wait what seems like forever, the food will come out nice and hot, but that makes you wonder...is the kitchen just taking their time or what? so, if you can live with the slow service, then you'll enjoy their food. the only other negative is that they're a bit pricey (come on, it's only pasta and pasta is cheap to buy and make and so is pizza). don't ever ask for an extra meatball, it will cost you an arm and a leg.
oh, and if you're really looking for a betterpizzathan primo's, then go to salvatore's (it's located where primo's used to be)...they really make authentic pizzas and don't nickel and dime you to death. and i'm a regular customer of both primo's and salvatore's...the edge, in my opinion, goes to salvatore's.

big mistake. i recently ordered from here after reading the reviews about the food, i read several about how bad the service was but thought nothing of it considering it was for delivery. unfortunately that was a big mistake. i ordered a large specialtypizzaand garlic knots, ($40 bucks!! i waited an hour and a half for something that never showed up. i called after an hour to check on the order and was told it was on its way, after another 1/2 hour went by i called up to complain and tell them i didn't want cold food and they gave me some ridiculous excuse and did nothing to try and correct the problem. i will not be ordering from here again!

long time customer. i have been coming here since i was 10. and 20 years later primo's still has the best ny stylepizzain town. real cheese. also the greek salad is by far my favorite anywhere. only ynot can come in at a close second. as far as other menu items, the garlic knots and mussels are great. have never really ventured past these old standby's

pretty good pizza. it's a good pizza. it's not the best...but it's good. the only other thing i have tried is the garlic rolls...and it was one of the nastiest things i have eaten, so beware. other then that i would definitely orderpizzahere again.

delicious. the last comment this guy made kills me, personal pans??? this isn'tpizzahut...

seeing as i live 45 minutes away, i haven't been to primo's since it was the location at baxter road when dominick was still running things so unless management has changed, this should still be a fantastic place to eat. maybe it's not on point every single time but it really is an awesome place with the real deal on food. i'd give it another shot if i were you.

good...but expected better. primopizzahas always had its fans from the area's locals. when i asked a local or two to recommend a good pizza, primo has been their choice. through the years, i tried thepizzapies at the primos in kempsville and diamond springs location. we weren't typically impressed -- either the crust was too thick or too soggy.

with the beautiful new location at brennaman farms, i wanted to give primopizzaanother chance as nothing in our neck of the woods (thoroughgood) is any good.

i ordered a "safe"pizza-- an 18-incher with half garlic and half extra cheese -- and a calamari appetizer. thepizzapretty heavy in cheese and the crust just lacked that firmness and crispness you expect from a good new york pizza. my wife commented "too soggy." but on the plus side, thepizzawas pretty tasty and the cheese tasted of good quality. the garlic was a bit too subtle.

the calamari was a very generous portion with the squid quite delectable. i was not impressed with the marinara sauch accompanying the calamari -- kind of bland and too heavy on the onions. but a dash of lemon and salt made the squid a treat.

overall, my wife i would have liked a better crust, but thepizzawas fine. my son liked it. we all liked the squid. we'll give primo another chance and order a plainpizzawithout the extra cheese to see if that helps the crust. but as of now, ynots is still the best in the beach and franks off battlefield blvd in chesapeake is the best in tidewater.

terrible... i'll never go back.. forget primopizzaand go to ynot instead! upon entering the primo location on princess anne, you arrive in a foyer with no greeter and no direction as to where to go. i noted two parties grab menus and seat themselves because of this. once my party was seated it took over 10 minutes for us to get drinks. regardless if we were waiting for a member of our party or not, drinks should have been served. after waiting another 10 minutes before finally getting up to walk to the kitchen area and find any server, i asked if someone could please come take our order. a three minute conversation began between waitstaff and the supposed greeter about who was assigned to our table. we skipped the appetizers because they were just as expensive as the entrees. service was terrible and it took forever to get our food that wasn't even very good. since when is chicken parmigiana served with dark meat??? forget about drink refills... we had to ask each time. we also had to ask for our bill. our party agreed we will not be going back. nice atmosphere for a new location, but that is all they have to offer. ynotpizzais much better, with frendly staff, a better menu and an excellent track record in my book.
