excellentfoodand service. primo pizza has always been a good place to get a slice of pizza over the years, but they have truly built their restaurant into a local powerhouse that serves top notch italian dishes with super tasty pizza. locals favorite.

good pizza.foodis very good but a little pricey. the staff is very attentive. but the one server allison seems to be in a bad mood the few times we have been there, rude and hollering at the other servers & buss boys. on one occasion when she was not working she was at the bar downing shots then hollering at the staff.
gonna give this place a break and go to the other pizzeria over red mill park.

great food, but below par service.. primo's has really greatfood(and pizza), however, like the other posters have noted, the service is really sub-par. people say you have to wait in order to great food, however, primo's takes it to the limit. even though you wait what seems like forever, thefoodwill come out nice and hot, but that makes you wonder...is the kitchen just taking their time or what? so, if you can live with the slow service, then you'll enjoy their food. the only other negative is that they're a bit pricey (come on, it's only pasta and pasta is cheap to buy and make and so is pizza). don't ever ask for an extra meatball, it will cost you an arm and a leg.
oh, and if you're really looking for a better pizza than primo's, then go to salvatore's (it's located where primo's used to be)...they really make authentic pizzas and don't nickel and dime you to death. and i'm a regular customer of both primo's and salvatore's...the edge, in my opinion, goes to salvatore's.

big mistake. i recently ordered from here after reading the reviews about the food, i read several about how bad the service was but thought nothing of it considering it was for delivery. unfortunately that was a big mistake. i ordered a large specialty pizza and garlic knots, ($40 bucks!! i waited an hour and a half for something that never showed up. i called after an hour to check on the order and was told it was on its way, after another 1/2 hour went by i called up to complain and tell them i didn't want coldfoodand they gave me some ridiculous excuse and did nothing to try and correct the problem. i will not be ordering from here again!

okayfoodbut bad service and slow. started coming here about 1.5 yrs ago. we usually go during the week to avoid crowds. at first the experience was really good but time has proven to take its toll. thefoodhas become more olive garden and the service has really gone downhill. tonight was the worst. our server never introduced herself, we never heard the specials and our order took so long! we don't go out often so we want good food, good service and no stress - thefoodwas good but it was a miss for the other two. i personally complained to the manager on the way out and still received no satisfaction. go for okayfoodbut don't expect service!

bestfoodand nice waitstaff. we have eaten at primo for years now. if you want delicious food, hot bread and good service, this is the place to eat. if you are looking for a good salad, the have the best ranch dressing in town! their veal marsala, shrimp and crab with a brandy cream sauce, and shrimp saltimbocca....are a few of our favorites, then this is the place!! and garlic lovers....the best fresh garlic covered knots in the world! i have read some of their reviews, some of them are funny because people complain about things that are ridiculous..like it costs so much for soft drinks (a family of 4 will pay almost $10.00 for 4 drinks if you add the tip, in any restaurant). fast food, this is not.....well cooked goodfoodand great staff, it is! some of these other reviews really make me laugh. any family of 4, in any restaurant will waste $10.00 on soft drinks....common sense???

horrible atmosphere & attitude. i had dinner this evening at this establishment. i went with a friend with a broken foot. there was a wait except for 2 seats being saved at the bar. i informed the host that my friend needed to be seated to which he responded "there is a 30 minute wait". i asked about the vacant seats at the bar & we were again informed they were being "saved". after standing for over 30 minutes, all the while the 2 "saved" seats were never taken. we were seated in a dining room that was so loud it was more like eating in a bowling alley. i asked to speak to the manager & after at least another 30 minutes a girl shows up at the table announcing she is one of the mgr.'s. i attempted to tell this mgr. about our disappointment in being seated as well as the restaurant being overcrowded & loud to which she replied "it's the owners, i think she said, daughters rehearsal dinner & that there was nothing she could do about the noisew level. i told her it was impossible to enjoy the meal with the tables set so close that the wedding party guests behinds were in our face...to which she replied "we do not normally accommodate rehearsal dinners because of their lack of space but, again, since it was a relative of the owners they had made an exception. she then said "what do you want me to do about it? the long & short of it is the restaurant was overcrowded, noisy & the staff, with the exception of our waiter were apathetic at best. the margarita i had was almost 9.00 & we finally asked for to go boxes to escape the chaos & finish the meal at home. oh, and an hour later...the seats at the bar were still being "saved".... go to "franco's" on military highway in norfolk. theirfoodis better & the atmosphere is conducive to a pleasurable meal...not to mention the mgr. & wait staff are friendly & respectful....never again!

terrible... i'll never go back.. forget primo pizza and go to ynot instead! upon entering the primo location on princess anne, you arrive in a foyer with no greeter and no direction as to where to go. i noted two parties grab menus and seat themselves because of this. once my party was seated it took over 10 minutes for us to get drinks. regardless if we were waiting for a member of our party or not, drinks should have been served. after waiting another 10 minutes before finally getting up to walk to the kitchen area and find any server, i asked if someone could please come take our order. a three minute conversation began between waitstaff and the supposed greeter about who was assigned to our table. we skipped the appetizers because they were just as expensive as the entrees. service was terrible and it took forever to get ourfoodthat wasn't even very good. since when is chicken parmigiana served with dark meat??? forget about drink refills... we had to ask each time. we also had to ask for our bill. our party agreed we will not be going back. nice atmosphere for a new location, but that is all they have to offer. ynot pizza is much better, with frendly staff, a better menu and an excellent track record in my book.

i'm not one to really put down good service, our server was friendly, & thefoodcame in decent presentation...,but the flavors was the only downfall. i've had italian dishes frequently., many from my close italian friends...,in this instance...,i think olive garden tasted better. the garlic knots were overwhelming., my daughter started to choke up & gag., her face turned red & her eyes began to water up...the garlic was too powerful..,chunks in it. my chicken piccata...,tasted only of lemon...,nothing else...,the pasta tasted as if it was basted in lemon "soup" if one exists. my husbands stromboli tasted like dough...,barely anything else...our youngest daughter who simply ordered a kids meal item..."meat ravioli"...,was the best tasting item out of our whole group.

i agree they have sacrificed their customers satisfaction. the new place might look nice but it doesn't have that neighborhood family feel. i go out to eat to eat goodfoodwhere i can take my friends and family and never be let down. what made me a loyal primos customer has dissappeared some where in their newer larger expensive restaurant. they have 15 people running around and still we get overlooked and thefoodjust doesn't warm our hearts like it used to. we will be trying salvatore's pizzeria and we will let other primo customers know the truth.
