prime burger bar

our firsttimeat this restaurant was a saturday night at 6:00 and we got seated right away. my husband and i split an onion rings and i had a paris burger (brie,carmelized onions,bacon)and he had a chipotle burger (bacon, cheese, chipotle mayo) they came with handcut fries. we both really enjoyed our meals.
it was a lot of food!!! he also had a mojito and it was amazing! fresh limes and mint, two kinds of rum and cane sugar garnished with a stick of sugar cane.quiet, comfortable with great staff!

first off, i've never seen a menu with more spelling mistakes in my life, from the angus beef parry to whatever a poituine is. probably spotted 5-6 and i just stopped after that. the burger itself was good,except when you say you sell an "inferno burger" and indicate it's the spiciest burger you have, why is there only jalapenos on it with a mild mayo? place wasn't very busy while we ate there and like most other reviews the servers generally didn't seem to care to much either way. i don't live here so won't be back regardless but if i did, this would be the one and onlytimei visit

quite honestly i was not impressed at all with my experience here. the food was okay however both mine and my boyfriend's order got messed up in more than one way. and the customer service was so appalling yaht i don't think i would go back even of the food was good. there was next to no one else in the restaurant but we didn't get checked on once. my partner had to get up twice to find the waitress. once to get water and the secondtimeto pay our bill.

not too bad. i decided to stop by for lunch and ordered wings as an appetizer and the texan burger and cheese fries as the main. the wings were nice and crispy and had a lot of meat on them them. they were covered in frank's hot sauce which is a bit of a let down as i find frank's very generic for such an establishment. the burger was just "okay"...there was more bun then burger and it took away from the other ingredients in the burger. the angus beef patty was under seasoned and it made the whole burger taste very bland. overall, it's not the best burger i've had in ottawa, but at the sametimeit isn't the worst. service and ambiance was good overall.

fancy but still family friendly. my husband and i went to prime burger the firsttimebecause it is very close to our home and we didn't want to wait forever to get into lone star. we really enjoyed the food and have been back a few times since. the lasttimewe decided to bring the kids with us. my 10yr old got the poutine and loved it. my 7yr old ordered the special mac and cheese but after one bite decided she didn't like it (not enough like kraft dinner!). the waitress noticed right away and came to ask her if she would like something else. she asked for chicken fingers instead and we were not charged for the mac and cheese. the staff have always been really great and thistimethey went above and beyond.

prime burger bar. a group of 3 had went for dinner but was not all that happy with the food. to begin with the coke had to be changed twice because it was so watered down and the thirdtimethe waitress gave can coke instead. i found for the quality of the food that is was over priced. the salmon burger was good but the onion rings were bland with no real flavor. the burgers were ok as well but the buns that were served where too big, way too much bread! the house sauce was delicious. the selection was too small with no originality for a restaurant that specializes in burgers. the staff on the other hand were fantastic but unfortunately not enough for a return visit.

great burgers and service. we were concerned that this was going to be one of those restaurants that are fantastic onetimeyou go and sub par the next time. this was our 2nd venture to prime burger bar and it didn't let us down. we raved about it to others and brought them along on our next visit and everyone really enjoyed the food and service.

don't waste your money ortimehere!! this place will go belly up within 6 months (if it can hang on that long)!!
salad was a wilted bowl of iceberg lettuce. i asked before ordering what was in it & the waitress had no idea & looked shocked that i even asked, she did know that it was served with balsamic dressing which in reality it was just saturated in oil. what restaurant serves a bowl of iceberg lettuce in that day & age?? burger was ok, nothing to get excited about. the spinach & goat cheese dip was terrible... basically some green purée with a tiny bit of goat cheese garnish that they charge $12.00 for. my companion, had the steak sandwich and would not return... as it also lacked any quality. the music is geared to a crowd of teeny boppers... who wants to gave dinner & listen to techno or hip hop all night? the servers were clearly hired on looks & lacked brains...ours had no idea about the menu & just kept saying everything is good. when i told her the salad was awful, again she looked shocked & said well i like it. i left the entire salad on the plate and not a word was mentioned when she picked up my plate. nothing was offered as a replacement nor even an apology given. i even had to get up out of my chair to request another beverage and the place was completely empty. i have never not tipped in my life, but there is a first for everything and tonight was it. oh by the way, i myself am in the hospitality industry... in high profile fine dining. i know my stuff. hopefully this place will heed the critique if it plans to stick around. best of luck, but i will never return. way overpriced for the garbage being served & clearly inadequate & inexperienced service staff.

good....not great!. very prompt, attentive and friendly service. we decided to try the onion rings as an appetizer...very good....the coating is crisp and not overly greasy. lots of burger options that are reasonably priced. decided on the classic burger....pretty good fries, bun and toppings fresh and tasty but seriously under-seasoned flavorless beef patty.....classic disappointment!
server did not ask if we enjoyed our meal at anytimeand as we were leaving, we noticed that there was a special on the classic burger and beer combo.....had no idea and would have save a few dollars if we had been told about it!!!
may return....undecided yet though.

went to prime burger bar for lunch. our experience started out quite badly, but the owner turned it around.
we waited for a longtimefor our food. our waitress wasn't particularly concerned by how long we were waiting.
when our food finally arrived, it wasn't everything that we had hoped for. the fries were undercooked, the burger was dry.
that being said, the sweet potato fries were fantastic and the burger toppings were fresh and plentiful.
we were quite upset, and this is where the owner really proved that she is perfect for this business. she was a bit defensive (but she has every right to defend her business), but she was very apologetic and offered us new food, and even brought me soup to try.
it's a new business and i really hope that they work out the kinks because they could be great.
