went here for my birthday. when i made the booking they asked if i wanted a cake. the made the most delicious (vegan) chocolate cake we'd all ever had . great service and ambiance. great variety ofveganfood

came here recently with a couple of friends for the experience of havingveganfood. none of us where vegans and we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food. our main meals were very much enjoyed. the desert however we didn't enjoy as much, but still good considering it is 100% vegan. the serves was a bit slow and we had to wait quite some time for our food, but the restaurant does mention this on they website that it os due to the nature of the food. all in all a great experience. will definitely go there again... maybe just skip the desert 😀

on my recent return to cape town, i felt to try someveganfood. wandering around town i came across plant. i opted to try their wrap. i enjoyed the texture and taste, though the side of fries were quite sad and floppy (oily). would possibly recommend as a takeaway on the app but the presence of so many flies, creates on overly earthy experience that was not to my palette.

i really really wanted to like this restaurant but unfortunately there were quite a few sore points that can’t be overlooked. but let’s start with what was good:
- the quesadillas were amazing. made with refried beans, they were filling and delicious. this was the best dish of the night.
- the burger duo was also really fresh and the beetroot patty had a meaty taste to it that i’m sure will satisfy even the biggest meat eater
- lots of fresh juices on offer, all the hot drinks are made with soy milk with the option of almond milk as well. there were also a few new rooibos iced tea flavours that i haven’t seen before that tasted fresh. and the use of bamboo shoots as straws is quite ingenious.

so on to what i didn’t like:
- the gnocchi was really bad...it looked terrible, tasted bland, the consistency was so off, not even remotely close to the gnocchi we all know. this was my worst meal in a restaurant ever. the menu changes constantly so i really hope this item will drop off soon. it was nice of the manager to give me a free dessert after i gave my feedback.
- despite an extensive wine list, they only had one red wine available on this particular saturday night 🤔 um did someone forget stock taking?
- i was particularly interested in theirvegandesserts only to find out that the desserts off the menu aren’t available, only those on display. i was quite disappointed not to have the cheesecake but i opted for the milk tart - the milk part (soy) was good but the pastry was really hard and chewy.
- service was slow...it’s a small restaurant, only about 12 tables yet we waited a long time to be served and even had to go find our waiter at one point.

so a disappointing evening overall 😞 at least the company was good👯‍♀️👯‍♀️

this is my first ever 100%veganrestaurant, and i loved it! being vegan, i'm used to always having to compromise with vegetarian dishes, or not order anything altogether, but plant has so many things vegans can enjoy. i ordered the "dirty mac n cheese" which was very good, and i also had a few bites of my sister's mushroom burger, which had an amazingvegancheese patty. who would've thought! all in all, i hope i get to go back again and try other things on the menu ;)

went there for dessert with my husband on my birthday.
the ambience was calm and romantic.♡
the dessert was (selection of their superfood cheesecakes, milktart and little dark chocolate balls) better then any other normal orveganresteraunt.
waiter was kind, friendly and always on the ball.
definitely will be back to try there buffet.

found myself at plant today for a lunch catch-up. this place is centrally located on a street corner right in the center of town. i really like the colorful quirky decor and leafy plants they've got. the restaurant is entirelyveganso today certainly was an experience to say the least!
the coffee and hot chocolate were good and served quickly. my friend enjoyed her quesadilla but i felt that my mac n cheese was bland and definitely missed the creamy rich element from a regular mac n cheese. there was supposedly a spicy powder on top but it just tasted powdery and not spicy at all in my opinion. disappointed in the dish.
however, the portion sizes are extremely generous and should i ever find myself that side again i'll definitely pop into plant for a more traditional vegetarian dish such as a smoothie or salad.
service was lovely and the guy who helped us was very friendly.

always have a great meal here! the food is fresh and super tasty forveganand vegetarian food. one of the best burgers i've ever had was one of their bean burger specials. it's a nice open space too and the service is usually good.

my mom and i really enjoyed ourselves here. came for their sunday buffet, this week was italian style where they had a variety of italian foods to choose plus a dessert choice. had some of their meatless meatballs and gnocchi. my favourite was the tirimusu, subtle yet delicious flavours. pricing is also very reasonable for a good fillingveganmeal. a sunday well spent!

one of the most popularveganrestaurants in the city... a little pricey but very nicey ;) plant is planet conscious and owned by a very inspiring woman who often caters for events or functions.

visited twice in my 4 day trip to ct. the first time we walked in sat down only to be told by the owner that they had run out of good 😳 . revisited 2 evenings later were shown to a table and left to wait for 10 minutes - waved my hands frantically before we were noticed and a very apologetic waiter received a lecture on the basics 😬. i had the quesadilla and my wife the 2 burger slider . was all good but as a specialistveganrestuarant they will have to do more to satisfy a growing yet very discerning client base .
it lacks a front of house manager and somebody to control the aircon as it was chilly and not warm and conducive to staying for desert.
a little disappointing.

best restaurant i have ever been to! it recently reopened and the food and service is incredible.

the portions where big and fulling and extremely well priced and the staff where so friendly! i don't usually like going to restaurants but had such a good experience. it was my sisters birthday and they sang happy birthday and brought her a desert with a candle in it. they also sell mushroom biltong to take home which i really recommend. it's amazing. will definitely go back and recommend plant to everyone i know! also nice to supportveganrestaurants.

pretty rad place ... 😊 but the other veggie andveganplaces have blown me right off my chair.. where as plant and their great staff had me not so blown away for some reason on the few occasions visited

such a lovelyveganfrench toast and had a bite of my friends omelette - also delectable. very friendly service. a pleasurable experience overall.

went for lunch today with a bunch of my colleagues, and it was a really cool vibe. super cool plants inside, and completelyveganeverything. i had a really good falafel salad with sour cucumbers 😂 i don't really know what they were meaning with those, they tasted pretty normal to me. my green juice was a bit too pulpy for my liking, but served in super cool bottles. the rest of the food, a quesadilla, a beet burger, a mushroom burger, and a wrap, all looked good and everyone seemed to really enjoy everything. oh, and ginger shots 👌🏼 so great served with apple slices.
