i have been longing to visitplantfor so long. today i was finally able to pay this little gem a visit and boy, am i glad i did.

firstly, the café itself has the most stunning décor, with a good amount of seating, both inside and outside. the menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. the service was also outstanding, and my family and i received our orders promptly and without a long delay.

the food itself was delicious - well-seasoned, unique, and beautifully presented. the prices are also very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes provided.

overall, a wonderful experience. i will definitely be visitingplantagain soon.

i always enjoy mixing it up once in awhile.plantprovides just that with the perfect playground for my appetite. love the mexican stack and their assortment of health drinks. service can be a bit slow at times but the food definitely makes up for it!

although i wanted to likeplanti must say i have a few problems with the establishment. firstly, something is slightly off about the atmosphere... there’s no vibe and this can easily be created with better music and energetic staff. the food is decent but is lacking a bit of flavor and passion. so much potential but the faults lie in the lack of atmosphere and love

this is my first ever 100% vegan restaurant, and i loved it! being vegan, i'm used to always having to compromise with vegetarian dishes, or not order anything altogether, butplanthas so many things vegans can enjoy. i ordered the "dirty mac n cheese" which was very good, and i also had a few bites of my sister's mushroom burger, which had an amazing vegan cheese patty. who would've thought! all in all, i hope i get to go back again and try other things on the menu ;)

found myself atplanttoday for a lunch catch-up. this place is centrally located on a street corner right in the center of town. i really like the colorful quirky decor and leafy plants they've got. the restaurant is entirely vegan so today certainly was an experience to say the least!
the coffee and hot chocolate were good and served quickly. my friend enjoyed her quesadilla but i felt that my mac n cheese was bland and definitely missed the creamy rich element from a regular mac n cheese. there was supposedly a spicy powder on top but it just tasted powdery and not spicy at all in my opinion. disappointed in the dish.
however, the portion sizes are extremely generous and should i ever find myself that side again i'll definitely pop intoplantfor a more traditional vegetarian dish such as a smoothie or salad.
service was lovely and the guy who helped us was very friendly.

one of the most popular vegan restaurants in the city... a little pricey but very nicey ;)plantis planet conscious and owned by a very inspiring woman who often caters for events or functions.

reading the reviews, i'm still hopeful that i will have a better experience next time so before i say anything else - i'll try it out again.
we ordered the carbonara and the dirty mac and cheese. the pasta was overdone and sticking together, verging on soggy. the sauce, tasty yet lacking salt and rather sweet. portion sizes are huge, but perhaps to compensate for the lack of execution for these dishes.
the cheese sticks were yummy but the cashew cheese was gloopy and the oil they were fried is was either old or had been burnt prior. the accompanying sauces were also good, they paired well with the sticks. these were almost great.
the lemon meringue has a fantastic flavour. the consistency of the tart is great and the crust is crispy but the slimy excuse for a meringue was pretty off putting. basically a sticky marshmallow glob.
overall, i thinkplantalmost came close to being good but missed the mark on all the things we tried. great ideas and creative but lacking execution.

best restaurant i have ever been to! it recently reopened and the food and service is incredible.

the portions where big and fulling and extremely well priced and the staff where so friendly! i don't usually like going to restaurants but had such a good experience. it was my sisters birthday and they sang happy birthday and brought her a desert with a candle in it. they also sell mushroom biltong to take home which i really recommend. it's amazing. will definitely go back and recommendplantto everyone i know! also nice to support vegan restaurants.

pretty rad place ... 😊 but the other veggie and vegan places have blown me right off my chair.. where asplantand their great staff had me not so blown away for some reason on the few occasions visited

recently had lunch atplantwhich i was quite excited about. the feel of the restaurant is cosy but trendy; the service was good. the menu offers a nice variety of dishes. they have lady bonin's tea and decent selection of espresso based drinks.

i had a red latte which was okay; my friend had their iced coffee which he enjoyed but it did take too long to melt. for mains we had the mexican tower and the rice paper rolls. the mexican tower was two bean patties topped with guac, sour cream and the like - it was nice, flavoursome, but not wow. the rice paper rolls were served with a sauce which was probably the best part of the dish - so good. the actual rolls were packed with veggies but a little hard to eat.

overall, it was a pleasant lunch with good food.

i had to think carefully about whether i should giveplantextra points for having a fully plant-based menu, or if it should be held to the same standards as any restaurant. i'm going with the latter because, in the end, even vegans want to eat delicious food and enjoy their dining experience. i can't say either was really true of my first experience at plant.

we ordered two portions of the quesadilla. though we were one of only two tables in the restaurant at lunch time, our food took quite long, and when it arrived we were not enticed by its appearance. sadly our perception didn't improve on tasting. the filling was rich and rather monotone, and there was a lot of it, without enough of the side fixings of guacamole, relish and sour "cream" to balance it. we felt it could have done with a small fresh side salad, and perhaps some more variety in the filling, along with more considered presentation.

we will be back to try a wider variety of the dishes on the menu, but we hope things improve somewhat too.

the decor and ambience is unique and cozy. being a vegetarian and aspiring vegan, this was a truly wonderful experience and i left with a very grateful heart for whatplantstands for and provides for the vegan community as there is a large gap in the market still to fill. i enjoyed the vegan tacos which were presented beautifully and the cauliflower wings which were lovely however there is much room for improvement in terms of flavour enhancement. ☺️

on a celebratory night we visitedplantfor some wine, drinks and great vegan food. i chose to indulge in the aubergine tian tower. the towers had layers of pepper, cream cheese drizzled with hoisin sauce. a burst of flavour in each bite. the lentils tasted amazing and resulted in an entire plate being wiped clean. the only downside to the evening was the service, the waitors forgot to place my order and resulted me waiting over an hour. the night overall was good with many minor slip ups by the staff. another visit is on the cards.

so i went back toplantlast night with a couple of vegetarian friends. we had cocktails (yum) and dinner (yum). really loved the mexican stacks and the quesidillas, we all polished off our food in no time. the service was also excellent and friendly, and i was pleased to see the restaurant get nice and full

i'm writing this mid burger because i'm trying to make it last. best vegetarian burger ever!!! oh my gosh! so so so yummy. had the burger chef special. do it. do it. i also tried the yummy chocolate cake. eat it too. just go. stop arguing. just go.

i was initially skeptical because the last vegan restaurant i went to left me disappointed, butplantwas such a treat! my friend and i went for their tempting tuesdays offer which is really good value for money : a main , a drink and a dessert for r130 (i think, maybe r135? ) i got an apple and ginger juice which they made specially for me as i do not like carrot in my juice - this was very much appreciated as they make all their juices at the beginning of the shift and bottle them beautifully. i got the vegan lasagne and was very impressed with their cauliflower and cheese sauce. huge portion, and very yummy too. for dessert i had one of their brownies. lovely restaurant, lovely food, lovely service. will definitely visit again.
