like their name suggests, this is a healthy cafe. you'll find all the cow's milk alternatives you need and alternatives to normal coffee. food is very good. it's actually healthy food you'd want to eat. bit pricey and service was uber slow. considering we were one of 3 tables arriving at different times.

went here for my birthday. when i made the booking they asked if i wanted a cake. the made the most delicious (vegan) chocolate cake we'd all ever had . great service and ambiance. great variety of vegan food

we went to the restaurant without knowing that it is vegan. the natural viagra shake was pretty terrible in taste, actually was tasteless. we ordered thai roll and noodle mushroom roll. both of them were pretty average in taste. we yearned for some good food after what we had at plant!

why can't i find a vegetarian that has high standards of a regular restaurant?! kitchen was extremely slow, staff looked a bit confused while checking with the kitchen why our food wasn't ready. at the end the food was not so tasty and seemed overpriced for a bunch of vegetal ingredients. i still have hope to find a good vegetarian, next...

i have been longing to visit plant for so long. today i was finally able to pay this little gem a visit and boy, am i glad i did.

firstly, the café itself has the most stunning décor, with a good amount of seating, both inside and outside. the menu is extensive and there is something for everyone. the service was also outstanding, and my family and i received our orders promptly and without a long delay.

the food itself was delicious - well-seasoned, unique, and beautifully presented. the prices are also very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes provided.

overall, a wonderful experience. i will definitely be visiting plant again soon.

this is a real gem and the choices are so tough:) i have brought many non vegans here and they totally love. good for you and good for the planet too... win -win ❤️

i always enjoy mixing it up once in awhile. plant provides just that with the perfect playground for my appetite. love the mexican stack and their assortment of health drinks. service can be a bit slow at times but the food definitely makes up for it!

i am very happy to say that i wasn't disappointed by this lovely little eatery. the food is excellent, the staff knowledgeable and friendly, and the fact that they serve a heavenly café latte with foamy hazelnut milk makes me love them so much more. i had a few hours to while away one morning and though i sat there for at least 3 hours while i worked, i wasn't bothered by the staff except when i wanted to order something. the food was also excellent- generous portions, wonderfully seasoned and beautifully presented. there is real soul and love for the food in this place. i will definitely make this a regular haunt.

mushroom burger with cheese is not grilled mushrooms with cheese on top.
it’s an entire block of fried cheese with mushrooms on top! ugh! that’s too much cheese even if it is vegan.

guy making tortillas shouldn’t use his cell phone while preparing food. why doesn’t he wear a hair net like he makes the african women wear?

kombucha was flat and too sweet. not brewed, fermented fully.

friendly service is easy to come by in south africa, but not here!!! slow, poor service.

came here recently with a couple of friends for the experience of having vegan food. none of us where vegans and we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious food. our main meals were very much enjoyed. the desert however we didn't enjoy as much, but still good considering it is 100% vegan. the serves was a bit slow and we had to wait quite some time for our food, but the restaurant does mention this on they website that it os due to the nature of the food. all in all a great experience. will definitely go there again... maybe just skip the desert 😀

on my recent return to cape town, i felt to try some vegan food. wandering around town i came across plant. i opted to try their wrap. i enjoyed the texture and taste, though the side of fries were quite sad and floppy (oily). would possibly recommend as a takeaway on the app but the presence of so many flies, creates on overly earthy experience that was not to my palette.

loved plant. had an early sunday lunch and we had a wonderful time. friendly staff, beautiful setting and the food was delish! the rice paper rolls were particularly good (so good i ate them up before i could think to take a picture 😂). looking forward to trying more of plant’s dishes in the future

food is good, bao buns are quite dry, however the mushroom rice paper wraps are good, as well as cauliflower wrap and carrot lox. however, they can definitely work on their service, it’s quite slow and staff aren’t the friendliest.

although i wanted to like plant i must say i have a few problems with the establishment. firstly, something is slightly off about the atmosphere... there’s no vibe and this can easily be created with better music and energetic staff. the food is decent but is lacking a bit of flavor and passion. so much potential but the faults lie in the lack of atmosphere and love

the place itself is lovely and the staff are friendly and for that reason i gave 3 stars. but i found the food a bit flavourless and the portions on the small side. the desserts were average at best. they also did not have some of the dishes on the menu and for a saturday night i thought that that was a bit poor. our booking could maybe be considered quite late at 20:00 but the place was not overflowing when we arrived. but that could still be a reason for why some dishes had sold out. i am interested to try out their breakfast menu though as i have heard good things.
