pizza shack

food was not done. i have ordered the pizza before and it pizza was great, but i happened to get off of work late one night, didnt feel like cooking and ordered the wings. they were nice brown but greasey, on the outside. when i got in to sit down and eat , i took a bite and the wings were cold like ice on the inside. i called back to let the establishment know what happened. the manager placed me on hold in the middle of me explaining what happened, then when i told her, she held the phone and didnt say anything. i asked her did they premake the wings and then put them in the microwave when an order comes through, she sternly/nastily repsonded no, they go into our oven. she placed me on hold and came back said because she couldnt find my ticket so therefore i didnt place an order. i responded with, i didnt place and order? and tried to describe to her the lady who rung me up she told me, i was yelling at her and hung up in my face. i called back twice to try to get an understanding and she hung up in my face a 2nd timem, 3rd time i got the gm he offered what could he do for me and i told him nothing,&basicaly told me , he have to go with what she told me and not listen to me as to how the conversation happened. i told him i didnt want free food nor a refund i was calling to let them know what happened so that they could tighten up on what comes out of the kitchen. i will not be ordering from them again if i spend my money and get treated this way.

pretty good local pizza; owner often works the register. lately, zas w loads of toppings (we usually get pep, chz, & pineapple or supreme) have suffered raw dough, except smalls. must be a result of ppl complaining about the wait...just start on a pitcher of lazy magnolia's southern pecan and wait.

extremely slow and inefficient service wait staff very friendly but poor communication with kitchen staff. great pizza when finally arrives!

i called my order in at 6:25 and was told that it would be ready in 25 minutes. walking to the neighborhood pizzeria we arrive 30 minutes to find that our order is not ready. we decide to wait. unfortunately time slows here and we have been waiting 20. at this point i have asked for a refund in which i am given however i will not be returning and i will tell those when asked that i do not recommend pizza shack.

yummy. i ordered the small supreme, it was delicious! a new go to place for me when i'm in jackson.

if you’re old enough to remember when pizza hut used to actually have good pan pizza, then the crust from pizza shack will make you so happy. just the slightest amount of grease, some buttery flavor, while being nice and crispy. perfection. i ordered a small supreme this thing was loaded. one of the better pizzas i’ve had. also had a small garden salad, and the ranch dressing is amazing. i think pizza shack has ruined me from trying any other pizza place in pearl.

love love love their pizza that has everything on it. ask for the buffalo sauce so you can add a little kick on the side. one of the best pizzas outside of chicago. never disappoints

very good old school pizza place. i went for dinner with my college-aged son. staff was very friendly and helpful. cool atmosphere and the pizza was flavorful with tons of toppings. highly recommend.

fine but forgettable

came here for lunch with my family and friends. we ordered a buffalo chicken salad, small “thick” pepperoni pizza, small “thin” mushroom pizza, and boneless buffalo wings. our friends got the bone in bbq wings, cheesy bread and club sandwich. the pizza was ok. there was very little difference between the thick and thin crusts. both were chewy. the flavor was just ok. to be honest i have had some frozen pizza at home that was as good. it wasn’t bad just not what i would expect from a restaurant. the cheesy bread on the other hand was very good with a good marinara sauce to dip in. the buffalo sauce was good but the boneless chicken seemed like something that was frozen and was just ok. the bone in one the other hand was very good and i would order that again. the club sandwich was piled high with turkey and my wife enjoyed her salad. the servers were very attentive and nice and the decor and vibe of the place was nice. overall if my friends asked to go there again i wouldn’t object but i wouldn’t ask to go back. no major complaints but in the midst of a vacation full of great food this one was pretty forgettable.

i’ve eating at pizza shack a lot over the years, going back to old location on state street. pizza is good. my favorite is the cheese sticks and the hot wings. maybe quality takes time, but i can’t imagine it taking this long. if it was a cool place to hang out, might make it better. last time was there got harassed by a drunken crackhead street-walker while waiting for over an hour. i’ll probably just go to papa johns for half the price, a quarter of the time, less hassle, and a not quite so good pizza.

great pizza place.   great chicken wings as well.   if you want good tasting pizza go to this place.   i do recommend going to this area during the day only.

before i begin, i will say the pizza is great. i've never had an issue with the crust being under-cooked (as some prior reviewers complained) and they definitely do not skimp on the toppings. the service, however, needs some improvement. i ordered a medium cheese, medium hawaiian, and a small carnivore pizza. when i picked it up, the girl behind the counter showed me each pizza. they made a supreme instead of a carnivore, so she told them to make a carnivore. i understand that mistakes happen (i've worked in 6 different pizza restaurants, so i can vouch for that), but when they do, apologize to the customer. i did not get a single apology. this came across as if the staff did not care they made a mistake or that i had to wait for them to make a new pizza while my other pizzas got cold. a simple acknowledgement and apology can go a long way.

last time i went to the byram location will be my last.  they were understaffed and in an understandable but irritating chaos.  i ordered a roast beef sub and i had to wait an hour and a half for it. when i finally got it, it looked like it sat under a heat lamp for hours. the roast beef and provolone was dried up and it didn't even come with lettuce or tomato.... forget about mayo!  i called and they promised me a make up meal but i won't give them another chance.  funny thing is, every time i pass by there are only a few cars there. they need to shut down and start over.

small neighborhood pizza place, pretty expensive for pizza. $50 for two large pizzas and breadsticks. husband loves their pizza though! thicker crust type of pizza.

something has happened here at pizza shack and not in a good way.

it's not the same business it was before it moved to fortification street.

today's lunch at pizza shack was my last.  the pie was good but there were multiple issues.

the service was poor, there were three people behind the counter, but only one taking orders, the table was dirty and there was no working a/c in the place.

when i arrived, three customers were seated waiting on their order which never came.  i received my order and theirs wasn't even prepared.  needless to say, they received a refund and left disappointed.

so sad to see another jackson restaurant failing.
