i've been topigalletwice. both times were amazing! lovely ambiance, lovely service and the food is great! one thing i definitely have to compliment and suggest is their creme brûlée! yum! it's honestly the best creme brûlée i've ever had.... ever!

i went topigallefor a private event. the service was excellent. they were friendly and accommodating. the food was all very well presented and absolutely delicious! it was well cooked and well seasoned.

this is the ideal place to visit when you want to go out on a romantic date or when you want to get dressed up a bit.

we had starters and mains which was delicious. the seafood platter for two is very generous and absolutely divine unfortunately it did not allow us room for dessert but i've been topigallebefore and the desserts are superb.

decided to book the private room for my mom's 50th birthday. what an awesome experience. food was fantastic, service was exceptional ! a special mention to thabo and norma who served our group .. they made the whole evening exceptional. attentive, funny, warm and welcoming. great jobpigallebedford !

have been topigallebedfordview a number of times over the past 5 years and their food and service is consistently good. their seared salmon is especially good with just the right amount of crispness. you can’t go wrong with the chocolate fondant, perfect texture and taste.

superb, superb, superb. i often go to the one in greenpoint cape town, went here over the weekend, food was out of this world andpigalleremains one of my favourite restaurants in both cape town and gauteng - well worth a visit!

went topigallefor sunday lunch. the service was amazing, our waiter was super attentive without being over bearing. the restaurant itself is really nice. had the pork belly which was nice but wasn't outstanding. food was average but service was great, a well deserved 4.

service is really great! came here for an anniversary dinner. food doesn't take very long to be served which is nice. we had oysters for starters. very fresh but a bit over priced. you can get the same oyster and freshness elsewhere. food is very average. i must say it's not as nice as thepigallein cape town. but all in all a very pleasant experience.

it was our wedding anniversary last week friday. zomato had given my husband a r300 voucher forpigallein bedfordview so we decided to use the voucher for our anniversary. the restaurant packed and buzzing. the ambience was lovely and our waiteress was friendly. the complimentary butternut soup that they served was absolutely delicious and had a slight hint of chilli. i could have eaten just the soup that night and i would have been happy. for mains i ordered the mozambique prawn curry and my husband had the springbok shank. despite being very busy food arrived quickly. my meal was beautifully presented. the prawn curry was hot just as i had requested and well balanced. for dessert we shared the creme bruleé. best bruleé in joburg. really lovely evening with awesome food and service.

went topigallefor our anniversary dinner courtesy of a zomato voucher. the restaurant is niely laid out with ample space between the tables, the lighting is perfect for those intimate settings. firstly i must commend out waitress, she was fantastic the entire night and i must applaud the great service received. on to the food, to start with we were given a complimentary cup of butternut soup, which was great it had the right levels of spiciness to complete a well rounded appetizer. for mains i was caught between the lamb shank or springbok shank, i went for the later as its something different, and the waitress assured me that it was good, especially if you like venison. the shank was delicious, and was served upon some creamy mash with some veggies. the meat isnt as tender as lamb, but it has its own texture and flavour profile. for dessert we decided to share the creme brulee which was recommended to us, and its something i suggest you order it, it has to be the best creme brulee i have had. thanks for a great experience

went for a friends birthday on sat night, hadn't been to any of thepigallerestaurants before so was looking forward to it after hearing great reviews from other people! and it didn't disappoint! the service, from the manager to our waitress, was impeccable! we didn't have starters, but went straight to mains which were all delicious according to those at the table! i had the pork belly which was awesome! good selection of wine on the menu although most was quite pricey. desserts looked delicious, although i didn't personally have one! would definitely recommend it for a nice evening out or a special occasion!

this restaurant is real class.
it has everything- ambience decor service and excellent food.
from the welcome at the door everything was top class.
pear and gorgonzola salad to share and then thepigallesea food platter. done to perfection with wonderful sauces. my colleague ordered the portuguese steak. i was envious of his choice. don't think you'd find better in sa.
desserts was also good.

met my dad for a quick lunch and wow we were blown away. all staff were friendly, attentive and so welcoming. every item looked so good that it took a good 30min to even make a decision. dad decided on the starter muscles and the prawns as a main. i couldn't resist tasting the muscle sauce which i must say if one could taste heaven i'm sure that is how it would taste - absolutely delicious. same for the prawns - succulent and great. i chose the red lentil indian curry - okay if you enjoy spicey food you have to try this. as much as my mouth was on fire i couldn't stop eating - the naan bread was a bit hard but it went well with the curry as a meal. we will definitely be back with the entire family for thepigalleexperience.

of all thepigallerestaurants this is our go to for special occasions and a lot of family lunches. you will not be disappointed. their prawns, seafood platters and any of the fish dishes are excellent. they definitely make the best portuguese steak in town, cooked to perfection and your liking. their delicious selection of desserts, is irresistible but my favourite is definitely the creme brûlée and chocolate fondant. bon appetit !

spent an evening out with my wife and my in-laws atpigallein bedfordview. the night was filled with tasty food and good coffee. i highly recommend the lamb phyllo as a main course and their malva pudding with hot crème anglaise. the only problem we had was that there was a delay in the cooking of our main course so we ended up waiting for about 50 minutes for food. the owner came and apologised before we could even complain about it. overall a very good dining experience.
