perkins family restaurant

my girlfriend and i found ourselves in the area of perkins family restaurant and since i haven't been there in years, probably 2005, and my girlfriend has never been we decided why not check it out. the service was fast and very friendly, both the server and the front end hostess. we were attended to extremely quickly and were never left with empty glasses of pop, very prompt refill. the food was what you would expect from a family restaurant of this type, with myself having the tangler w/ fries and my girlfriend raving about her chicken strips melt. the server also recommended adding honey mustard to the sandwich, which was very well received by us. all in all it was a pleasant experience and if i find myself in the ne part of the city again and in need of agoodstop for lunch, this will fit the bill.

looking for a quick little brekkie place before leaving calgary etown bound, didn't want anything fancy so we stopped some guy to give us any idea of what was close and a greasy spoon diner, perkins it was. it wasn't too bad, reminded me of a denny's or ihop, but the fresh baked goods made the difference in comparison. we were also able to buy a couple loaves of marble rye (they order that from winnipeg) but still delicous none the less. service wasgoodtoo

best resturant. the food is delicious. it is a great place to have a meal & visit with family & friends, since the music is turned low. the servers are friendly & helpful with a sense of humour. the prices are very reasonable & the selection has a wide variety to choose from, even with all my allergies. the pies taste reallygoodespecially the peanut butter pie!

fast, friendly, fantastic!. hit this place up for lunch after receiving a flyer with some decent looking coupons. work mate and i ordered the breakfast and within 5 minutes we were looking at a piping hot spread that couldn't possibly be $8! my eggs were cooked perfectly (rarely do restaurants get 'over easy' right..) the bacon wasgoodquality and the chunky hash browns were perfect. would definitely return just for the breakfast or even to try out the dozen other menu items that had me so tempted. our waitress was friendly and attentive, well deserving of agoodtip.

waitress, waiters always helpful & cheerful, food great, been there for breakfast as well as the seniors dinner from 4 to 6, lots ofgoodfood and on going coffee by the pot. able to split meals without and body frowning at us.

wow. all i can say. went today for breakfast today and was amazing. people were waiting for a table. igoodsite in my eyes. says something about this place.

agoodfamily restaurant. quick service and seating, waitress might have seemed a tiny bit grumpy.goodprices and alright food. wide variety and a fewgoodoriginal ideas in the menu.

bad food. i had the chicken biscuits and my wife had the potato pancake thing. both were disappointing enough that i cant imagine going back. the chicken wasgoodbut my food just wasnt fresh and the biscuit was dry.

it's good. decent priced.goodservice. great coffee.

sweet & savoury. i love going for brunch...the option between breakfast and lunch is always agoodthing. but i hate having to choose between a sweet or savoury dish. i want both on my plate. satisfy me completely rather than just half way.
perkins satisfies both the sweet and the savoury with their new apple muffin french toast plate. you get an apple muffin sliced and fried like french toast (with apple butter), eggs, hashbrowns, and sausage all on one plate. it is absolutely delicious. while it may have taken me a while to get through the whole thing, it completed my meals for the day. seriously...on a lazy sunday i had this meal and did not want for anything else.
next time, i'm trying this yummy looking peanut butter pie.

normallygoodfood however this evening there were bugs in restaurant, in the back room where we sat. managment said they were aware of bugs and we were sat there by mistake. food was cold and to long to get to table. orders were wrong and to fix it they just scrap the food off to make order look new. not a great time at perkins
