standard breakfast. yes, i know i said i don't like going to chain restaurants for breakfast. however, it was an early saturday morning and with mcdonald's being the other option, i decided to try perkins since we were in the area. it's definitely a busy place bc by the time we left, there was quite a line up.

i didn't realize how big their portions are or i wouldn't have ordered a kid's one for my toddler. there was enough food on my plate to share with him! my hubby had the eggs benedict whereas i got the tremendous twelve that i had trouble finishing. we also got the city slicker for my toddler. our food came out lightning fast, and taste-wise, very standard. service was good. prices were also quite average. not sure if i'd go back but most likely not for breakfast.

the best pancakes. perkin's is the best place to go for breakfast. great prices and they have the best pancakes ever with whipped butter. so good!

typical breakfast joint, food was served fast and service was very friendly. sort of wished there was more variety for their waffle selection. pricing is fair, and it's super kid friendly

my girlfriend and i found ourselves in the area of perkins family restaurant and since i haven't been there in years, probably 2005, and my girlfriend has never been we decided why not check it out. the service was fast and very friendly, both the server and the front end hostess. we were attended to extremely quickly and were never left with empty glasses of pop, very prompt refill. the food was what you would expect from a family restaurant of this type, with myself having the tangler w/ fries and my girlfriend raving about her chicken strips melt. the server also recommended adding honey mustard to the sandwich, which was very well received by us. all in all it was a pleasant experience and if i find myself in the ne part of the city again and in need of a good stop for lunch, this will fit the bill.

looking for a quick little brekkie place before leaving calgary etown bound, didn't want anything fancy so we stopped some guy to give us any idea of what was close and a greasy spoon diner, perkins it was. it wasn't too bad, reminded me of a denny's or ihop, but the fresh baked goods made the difference in comparison. we were also able to buy a couple loaves of marble rye (they order that from winnipeg) but still delicous none the less. service was good too

family and i had a great ,tasting meal tonight at perkins barlow, waitress kat was wonderful, great attentive service. we  had salmon, shrimp,chicken and more, will be back again soon

customer. worst food ever! i ordered fish and chips. it was overcooked and cold when they brought it not to mention i never received my soup first. i got it after the fact!! will not come back!!!

"gluten free menu" i don't think so!. my family went to perkins for easter brunch. i asked for a gluten free menu because my daughters and i are celiac. i ordered from the "gluten free" menu and was served a gluten meal, as well both my daughters. we spent the rest of the day in bed ill because they contaminated the food some how. when someone says they have an allergy then you should make the effort to ensure the proper procedures are followed. gluten free is not a life style choice it's an allergy and should be treated the same as any other allergy. i didn't appreciate losing a whole day sick because these people don't know what they are doing.

mediocrity at its finest. nothing spectacular here! the service was on the lower end of the scale. we seldomly saw our server and her excuse was that she was "busy" with other tables...but there were at least four waitresses and no more than 9 tables. she rarely came around, but seemed to pop up just before we'd be irritated.

the food arrived...kids meals first, which was decent. the kids all enjoyed their meals except for the moldy fruit salad that was served with my daughter's meal. everything was average. average eggs, average pie, average pancakes. mediocre sausage and bacon, dry biscuits. i just can't get excited about this place. i'd give it a five out of ten. it wasn't horrible but i won't be racing back to eat here either.

best resturant. the food is delicious. it is a great place to have a meal & visit with family & friends, since the music is turned low. the servers are friendly & helpful with a sense of humour. the prices are very reasonable & the selection has a wide variety to choose from, even with all my allergies. the pies taste really good especially the peanut butter pie!

eating at perkins in calgary. i, along with 6-10 friends and family have been going to your restaurant every friday for several years and last night was no exception. i have never been disappointed with my meal.., the service, the staff ,( bobby, the manager, etc.
i ordered the chicken pot pie and it was delicious! just want you to know that you all do an excellent job! hats off to you all!!!

awful service. i have always enjoyed the food there but the service is just terrible, it's hard enough to even get a drink let alone a waitress. slow and incompetent. seems like the staff are still half asleep.

fast, friendly, fantastic!. hit this place up for lunch after receiving a flyer with some decent looking coupons. work mate and i ordered the breakfast and within 5 minutes we were looking at a piping hot spread that couldn't possibly be $8! my eggs were cooked perfectly (rarely do restaurants get 'over easy' right..) the bacon was good quality and the chunky hash browns were perfect. would definitely return just for the breakfast or even to try out the dozen other menu items that had me so tempted. our waitress was friendly and attentive, well deserving of a good tip.

excellent. the reviews on here where a bit mixed matched, so thought i should check it out for myself. what an awesome surprise to find out both my kids eat free on saturdays and sundays from 4-10pm.the choices on the menu where great and the food was excellent! our server keeley was helpful, fast, organized and gorgeous. definitely worth your time to check this place out!

maddy. i do not know how or why people are down on perkins.
waitress, waiters always helpful & cheerful, food great, been there for breakfast as well as the seniors dinner from 4 to 6, lots of good food and on going coffee by the pot. able to split meals without and body frowning at us.
thumbs up for perkins north east for sure.
