perk eatery

clean restaurant,friendlystaff and good food. with all the hubbub about 3d shooting their show at perk, we had to stop by and see what the fuss is about. perk is excellent - and it starts with the extrafriendlystaff and overall cleanliness. on the latter point, even the ketchup and hot sauce bottles were filled and wiped - at our table and all the tables we saw. my burrito was excellent - filled with egg, peppers, spices, chicken, beef and mystery meat - topped with a jalapeno sauce. we tried the apple pancakes with applesauce - excellently spiced. the feta cheese side was also above average. the coffee was average - not bad, not great. overall thumbs way up - we'll be back.

sorry, but it's not that amazing. perk is overpriced, the service is not veryfriendlyor fast, and the atmosphere is cold. you only receive a smidgen of syrup with your pancakes, which is, contrary to the critic review, not nearly enough. the caramel banana pancakes are overwhelmingly sweet and not as incredible as everyone seems to think. the coffee didn't impress me much either. sorry to be so negative, but the place is way overhyped.

excellent breakfast! the caramelized banana nut french toast was amazing.friendly& speedy service with reasonable prices. tasty & delicious!

delicious turkey reuben. veryfriendlyservice and good food - with sweet potato fries! theturkey reuben was delicious and the tuna melt was great too. i can't wait to go back to try the pancakes!

just like family breakfast!. i was very happy with my visit to perk. recently, one of my co-workers came in to work raving about the breakfast he had at perk, insisting i try them out as well. well i figure, who am i turn down such an endorsement? i couldn't be happier that i listened to him.

first off, the atmosphere. this felt to me just like sitting around at a table at home with the family for a good old home cooked breakfast. the staff were all extremelyfriendlyand good humored. all the patrons were relaxed and smiling. everything was just right.

then we get the food... not only did it come out very quickly, but wow was it great. i actually had a lot of trouble deciding from the menu, everything looked so good. so i decided to go with a special the waitress mentioned which wasn't on the menu; biscuits and gravy. simply put: wow. i may have had better gravy before, but i honestly can't remember when. i was in love from the first bite. the portion was absolutely perfect as well. i finished up my breakfast and was quite full, without being too stuffed.

needless to say i will be returning here. this has become my new breakfast joint in the area. even for lunch. because breakfast food is great any time of the day.
