peanut butter pie addiction. i took my husband to pennyann'sfor breakfast for his bday. they make their own corned beef hash, so we had to check it out. penny and her husband were very kind and attentive. we had to wait for a stable and they kept us abreast of the status of a table.

i ordered the "pot of gold" which is a cafe "garbage plate". bacon, ham, mushrooms, sausage, cheese, fried potatoes, two eggs all covered in sausage gravy. really tasty and filling. i could only eat a quarter of it as i had to eat every pillowy bite of the accompanying pancakes. so delicious and real butter! no margarine here.

i will be trying the biscuits and gravy next time and for $3.99 they are a deal. a fellow patron remarked that you cannot get biscuits and gravy anywhere in utah (except my kitchen) until now. i completely agree. such an easy dish that everyone screws up royally. this place does it right from what i hear. i can't wait to confirm.

the corned beef hash did t dissapointed. it's a ground version with plenty of flavor. ask for rye bread on the side. delicious!

we ordered a slice of pb pie and a slice of apple sour cream pie. the pb pie was sensational. a must try...then crave. the apple sourcream was a bit dense for my taste and a bit too sweet, but was the real deal for sure. handmade. i can't wait to try their other offerings

great breakfast!. when i get to salt lake i go to pennyann'sat least once if not more. love the pac bacon waffle, and the pot potatoes, but everything i've had has been good. nice frendly, family run restaurant.

comfort food at its finest. every time i go to pennyann'swhich is weekly i am treated with a smile and they know your name. best price on food i can feed my entire family of for and not go broke! my personal favorite for breakfast is the chile verdi nachos! lunch you can't go wrong with anything alfredo. everything is made to order so it's a small wait but it's worth every minute!

we loved it!. we went to pennyann'scafe for breakfast. we were promptly and kindly greeted immediately upon walking in. we shared a delicious meal of biscuits and gravy (awesome), corned beef hash, and pancakes (super awesome)! the owners were walking around the dining area talking to customers. i would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, the service was wonderful and the food was great!

family owned goodness!. visited pennyann'sfor the first time today with a couple of friends. service was wonderful! food was amazing! i got the penny pot potatoes and it was huge,and the potatoes were perfectly seasoned and crispy! just how i like 'em. the dish included either toast or two "heavenly cakes". i went with the "heavenly cakes" and they certainly lived up to the name! they were ginormous, soft, and delicious! i've never been a big pancake fan but these have changed my life! :) my friends got the stuffed french toast (pecan caramel was the special of the day) and it was dusted with powdered sugar and smelled and tasted delightful! so happy we have found this fantastic place. breakfast menu all day saturday (closes at 2). will be coming here again!

terriable service. apparently the trick to eating at pennyann'scafe is to not get penny ann as your server. it took ten minutes just to get a menu and it was well past twenty minutes before penny took our drink order and then we had to wait another hour and a half for our food. during the wait our "server" never check with us or offered any refills and we watched multiple tables come and go. we finally had to waive her down before she even acknowledge us and no concern or empathy was ever shown. after all that waiting we got the food and it was just mediocre.

love it. hard to find anythign bad about pennyann'scafe (other than the wait on a saturday morning). the hot cakes are amazing, just sweet enough that you don't need syrup. breakfast is pretty standard breakfast food, but the corned beef hash is my favorite. lunch is a good option, too. lastly, the pies are amazing. love this place!

yumm. we came to pennyann'sbecause of a groupon i had purchased. i had seen all of the positive reviews online and this place didn't disappoint. the pancakes are absolutely heavenly and the omelets were delicious as well. the only slightly disappointing item was the potatoes, but everything else was wonderful. i wish the place were bigger and i wish that there was another door to keep some of the cold out, but we'll be back for sure!

i get it now--wow!. although i had been to pennyann'stwice before, i simply wasn't that overwhelmed. i had read so many overwhelmingly positive reviews, but the first two times i went, i just was not that impressed with any aspect of the restaurant experience that was provided. the first time i went, i had the reuben sandwich, which was completely satisfactory, but, again, not spectacular. the second time my wife and i went for breakfast, and enjoyed the meal, but it was marred somewhat by the long time it took for the meal to emerge from the kitchen.

however, we went again on saturday, mostly as a result of the discount coupon we had. i'm so glad i gave them "one last chance." the service was friendly and prompt (from a young man named kalon). the food came out in a reasonably speedy manner, and was fantastic. i again had the reuben, and was bowled over this time by its freshness, flavor, and the quality of its ingredients. my wife had the chicken parmesan. we have had this dish at other restaurants in the valley at double the cost that were nowhere near as good as the one that pennyann'sserves. the accompanying spaghetti was cooked perfectly (al dente), the tomato sauce was a revelation, and the perfectly breaded chicken cutlet was the size of texas. what a value!

however, the high point of the meal was the dessert--chocolate peanut butter pie ($2.99). this was truly one of the best desserts i have ever had.

i can't wait to get back to penny ann's!! i strongly recommend this restaurant.

oh myyyy. oh my. the breaded ravioli... amazing. the pork tenderloin dinner. amazing. the gravy and mashed potatoes? holy cow. everything i have ever gotten here has been amazing. their fries are freakin' delicious too. try it. its kinda a hole in the wall, i drove right past the first time. but the wait staff are very very friendly and the prices are unbeatable. if you miss home, and want a home-cooked meal, pennyann'sis the place! i wish it was open later and on sundays!

i love this place! the diner itself is charming and the employees are so nice. the biggest plus, of course, is the amazing food. breakfast is one of the best in the city -- they even amazed me with their oatmeal. dinner items are all delicious -- try the open faced turkey sandwich or cheesesteak. the fries are plentiful and crispy. be sure to get a piece of their famous -- they are out of this world. pennyann'sis one of the best new finds in utah.

pennyann'sspecials. i love when pennyann'srestaurant does specials, in fact tonight they had the lasagna which was fabulous, i have also been in for all of there meals, and i generally have very few complaints on anything, the only real complaint is that sometimes the restaurant is too crowded and you cant get a seat at times
but to me that just means there food is better than other places in there local area

yum yum!. we've had breakfast and dinner at pennyann'sand i was pleasantly surprised at the service and the food. i really enjoyed eating breakfast outside there several months ago, and then i went by and picked up a couple of sandwiches for my husband and i for dinner, and i have to say this place is worth a try. they got 2 out of 2 votes from us. i know we will go back. thank you!

i count it as a personal triumph and a rather proud accomplishment that i was pennyann'sfirst whole pie customer. i needed to repay a debt after two friends spent hours helping me with the new home, and i could think of no better "thanks" than a chocolate peanut butter pie from penny ann's.
