i used to go to paticceria papa often for a cup of coffee and anitalianpastry or to pick up focaccia or arancini balls but lately i have been disappointed with the quality of the products and i am definitely not in a hurry to go back. #pasticceriapapa

fantastic place with a lovely and friendly ambiance and of course some delicious bites.
you can’t help but admire the beautiful cabinets of cakes, cannolis, fresh bread, olives anditaliancured meat. if the smells don’t blow you away you know for sure your eyes will have a field day at looking at the yummy morsels.
i enjoyed some beautiful coffee, mushroom pizza, salami pizza, prosciutto panini, big papas breakfast, vegetarian focaccia, sponge cake and a mixed box of delicious little cakes and tarts.
i went with a group of friends so i was able to take a bite of everything and it was just mind blowing.
the stand out had to be the prosciutto panini which was overflowing with the beautiful cured meat and a crisp crunch to smack you in the face.
this place is a must go to!!

one of my favourite spots in sydney for an amazing coffee, or some authenticitaliandesserts. stepping into the cafe, there are so many choices and it's definitely a challenge to not buy more than you intended (i still do every time). all the desserts are really affordable, super yummy and i've been here countless times. something i recommend to everyone is their famous ricotta cake- nutella or the original, simply incredible 💕💞

like many others, papa first got my attention with their lovely baked ricotta cheesecake (no other baked ricotta cheesecake will compare). to no surprise, i became a regular customer at both of papa's branches in spite of the 45 minute drive. i needed no occasion to buy their delicious cakes - i was always craving them every week. although i will say that i barely ever bought their biscotti, cannoli, gelato etc. as they were quite mediocre compared to other places.

however, for the past few months i have stopped coming to papa altogether. it was only a matter of time before i decided that the appalling customer service would finally push me away from my go-to pasticceria. staff were always rude to me (a lot of sighing, no eye contact whatsoever, and sometimes speak initalianthinking i wouldn't understand at all). often, i would ask for a slice of a cake that i wanted to try. however, more recently they have given me lazy excuses me like "it's 4pm - we're closing soon maybe you should have come at 12". yet, when i come at 12 to ask for a slice they say "sorry, we have no more of that cake left" in spite of it being right in front of me. it's a shame that this level of customer service is pushing a lot of customers away - something that most australians deem crucial in any restaurant/cafe. hoping that papa can fix this soon, otherwise ti mancherò bene.

for such a great ricotta cheese cakes an other delicious pastry had such a crappy customer service sometimes. is a hit and miss, i like the authenticity of the place, but me working initalianplaces my self an having great opportunity to travel there and have friends from different places gave me the opportunity to understand that customer service is always determined by what they think about the customer and how u address them in the first place, if u r a bit bossy and demanding or just a bit rude or arrogant they could b 10 times worst, and this is normal. i love a lot of things of this culture but this i definitely love, if u have something to say, say it. customer service is not like a general understanding, u can b having what we call here in australia an awful customer service, unprofessional and for them is pretty normal. so i do understand the discomfort i red in other reviewers. yes the arty quality had drop a bit, was better before. i always take away service nothing could go wrong. in any event of birthday party i don't think let's get a cake i always think papas always. bread is not as good as before but pastry most of all r great. i love thisitalianyammi taste sweets. is terrible if u r on a diet, don't go there if u r in a diet, u will ruin it, once u start u can't stop

in sydney, you can spend $65 for four fragile and sophisticated-looking desserts. unfortunately, we are not talking about that for this week. instead, we will be talking about one of the bestitaliandesserts place in sydney… and most of their cakes are around $5 or less.  how good is that!. for those of you living in inner west, the name pasticceria papa will not sound too foreign for you. their shop in haberfield has been around since 1988. they started off as a bread and pastry shop. now, they have a full-fledged restaurant in addition to the shop.

always fresh, qualityitaliandolci. i believe the best in sydney. there may be a line out the door, but there's a good reason for it! the ricotta cheesecake is a must try and as are the cannoli. cannot recommend more. parking around the area is a bit of an issue, but worth it!
