just go!. this was our first time at pasha grill and were pleasantly surprised. the decor is very appealing and along with the background music it reminded us of james bond's "the spy who loved me". we both felt like any moment he was going to come swinging through the room. very fun atmosphere.

we chose to sit inside and sat in a narrow room that had 3 tables (actually 6 with 2 being together to make 3 seating for 4). i agree with another review that if it was crowded and people were at the next table, you definitely would be able to hear what they were saying (and they would hear you).

we did not wait long for our waiter to arrive, introduce himself (russ), bringbreadand yummy roasted pepper oil for dipping. russ was very nice and explained and answered all our questions with a smile. (i always have questions!!) we had printed a 15% off coupon from their website and gave it to russ. he asked if the coupon brought us in, it didn't. my husband had wanted to try something different and went to the website, it was after we decided to go, we saw the coupon.

the warmbreadand dipping oil was wonderful! thebreadis sort of 'heavy', not light and airy...but very flavorful. the dipping oil was just as good. i enjoyed the roasted peppers more than the oil, so i just used my fork to place some on my bread.

although we didn't have alcohol, they have a huge selection of wine! one full side of the menu is wine and the other full side are specialty drinks.

for an appetizer we ordered the sigara börek, which is a flaky phyllo dough pastry filled with feta cheese and fresh parsley, rolled like a spring roll and fried. it was yummy and not greasy at all. we received 4.

my husband ordered the mouskka. it is minced beef and lamb layered between slices of eggpland and topped with a bechamel sauce. mozzarella cheese on top and oven baked, side of rice. delicious!!!! the flavors just burst in your mouth!

i ordered the karniyarik. it is oven roasted eggplant that they scoop out some of the inside, puree and place back in the "shell". it is stuffed with ground beef and lamb, chopped tomatoes, green peppers and herbs and served with rice. it was amazing!! very flavorful!!! i actually didn't notice the peppers and onions in the meat mixture. i did get broccoli, which i think was grilled. i thought it was bland and not very hot, i didn't eat it. i also got some carrots and onions, which i also think was grilled with some spices. i usually do not like cooked carrots, but these were wonderful and i ate every one!

the service was very good. we didn't have to wait very long for refills for our seltzers and russ asked a few times if we needed anything...but he wasn't standing over us...which we can't stand!
just as my husband noticed he did not take off the 15% coupon, russ came back to the table apologizing and saying he had forgotten to take off the 15%!! he returned with the proper bill.

5 stars across the board. we will be back and i intend to bring friends for lunch!
oh and you can make reservations on their website too!

phenomenal lunch special. i've only ever gone for lunch because the price is so good i wouldn't want to pay the full prices at dinner. their lunch special is amazing and the service and ambiance is always great. for $9.95 you get an appetizer, entree, and dessert. the appetizers range from chicken vegetable soup to hummus to baba ganoush. the soup is great. their hummus is good, but i rarely get it because when you get there they bring out this warm freshbreadwith a sundried tomato olive oil dip and it's so darn good....if i got the hummus it would just make me have to eat morebreadwith it. if you don't care about how muchbreadyou eat and you love hummus then get it. or just skip thebreadand dip until you get your hummus. the entrees are delicious....just be careful, a "kebab" is not a kebab on a skewer like you might think it is. they are almost all plates with meat, rice, and vegetables, unless you order a sandwich that comes with fries, or the stew. the turkish gyro plate is great, as well as the stews. can't go wrong with either the almond or rice pudding for dessert, both great....rice might be slightly better. try this place for lunch!

crave it, love it. pasha grill has become my favorite place for lunch and occasional dinner whenever i am in dayton. i think i have eaten there four times now and each time i have come away with take outs, even after eating in! not being turkish i cannot comment whether the food is authentic. what i can say is that i keep coming back for their kababs. their lunch is great value--for $10 you get a starter (i like their lentil soup), an entree (i particularly like their adana kabab) and a dessert (try their almond pudding). oh, and to start with they serve you delicious, fresh out of the ovenbreadwith dipping oil which has herbs and sun dried tomatos. the decor is nice though when i asked them about it, they admitted that some of their objets d'art are from india. and the service has always been very attentive, polite and quick. i recommend it thoroughly--i only wish my home city had such a restaurant.

rude service and not very authentic food.. i went to pasha grill with my colleagues and asked politely for pitabreadwith my tabuli. (the tabuli was bland it needed more lemon and olive oil). first of all there was no pitabreadthere was only tortilla bread. in an authentic turkish restaurant one would think there would be pita bread? the waiter kept rolling his eyes at me, which was not nice and rude. i do expect to go to a restaurant and have a waiter roll his eyes me when asking for something. the food was ok. i have had better turkish and middle eastern food in other locations. the decor was nice but i would not recommend pasha grill to anyone visiting beavercreek, oh . one can get better food and service elsewhere.

pasha grill: is ringing in the new year with style!. turkish food is back at the greene. and if you haven't made your new year's celebration plans, you might want to consider a cultural leap into one of the area's most popular venues and cuisines - mediterranean-middle eastern!! this restaurant with its archways into private dining spaces will envelope you into a warm and exotic atmosphere the minute you walk through the door. a prix fixe menu for new year's evening is $65 and it promises to be an unforgettable experience. turkish proverb: "better to die with a full stomach than to live with an empty one!"
the festivities will begin about 8pm with a bottle of wine or two cocktails or 1/2 raki. raki is sometimes referred to as turkey's national drink. the drink made in anatolia has a history going back 300 years. for good quality raki, seedless raisins and aniseed in çesme are the preferred ingredients. i'm not sure which wines will be part of the new year's offerings, but they have an ample list with everything from a red kalecik karasi to white kavaklidere narince from the ankara wine region of turkey. there is a lovely bar at the front of the establishment if you just want to pop in for a quick kebab sandwich, a gyro salad or a lovely winter soup. the pitabreadhere is thick, warm, crunchy, and the best i have had in dayton.
small dish mezes for the new year's celebration will be from both the cold and the hot collections. sheppard salad, cacik (yogurt, salt, olive oil, crushed garlic, chopped cucumber, dill, mint, and garlic), and a small appetizer sampler will be the cold starters. vegetarians will find this menu a masterpiece for grazing. each time i have been to pasha's, i have ordered the appetizer samplers with my dining companions because there are too many favorites: ezme (spicy chop of tomatoes, onion, peppers, olive oil and herbs), hummus, yaparak dolmasi (grape leaves), kisir (tabouli), soslu patlican (eggplant) , pilaki (pinto beans, carrots, green peppers, diced potatoes, olive oil sauce), and cacik for $16.95 (1-3 people) -$23.95 (3-5 guests).warm hors d'oeuvre for the new year's evening will be the sigaraborek (flaky phillo with feta cheese and parsley), calamari, liver, iclikofte (bulgar wheat and minced lamb), stuffed zucchini, cabbage, grape leaves, and tandir kebab (lamb shank).
for the main course of the new year's meal the entrees will be a mixed grill kebab, a vegetarian special and/or a fish's plate. if you have not had a chance to dine here since the reopening there are ten different lamb, beef or chicken kebab options, so the mixed grill kebab approach will be a nice touch for new year's. you will never tire of eating here as the total menu has over 50 dining options. house specialties are the karniyarik ($12.95) which i tried on one of my visits and can highly recommend to the fans of eggplant. and there are other distinctive dishes to sample with lots of eggplant, okra and lamb selections ($12.95-$14.95). seafood specialties are not to be missed either. shrimp, salmon, tilapia, and swordfish - served with cream, cheese or veggie mother sauces - are the poisson plates at pasha's ($15.95-$16.95).
on new year's evening the dessert plate will be a collection of baklava, kadayif (shredded wheat with walnut or pistachio), custard, and cake with turkish coffee or tea served from brass trays. coke products are also available with the meal. a toast of champagne will also be offered at the stroke of midnight. the desserts that i have enjoyed from this kitchen were the delicate sültaς (rice pudding) and of course the flaky, fresh baklava. on the regular menu the other desserts are keskul (almond pudding), kuneffe (sweet goat cheese in phyllo), kazandibi (custard) are $5.95 to $6.95. they might even throw together a sampler if you know the right way to chat them up!!! these are the friendliest folks, especially when you frequent the place.
the owner and executive chef of the pasha grill is fatih gunal and his recipes are an improvement over my previous visits to this venue. his culinary wingmen are fahri on the meat dishes and huseyin with the appetizers and soups. everyone from the manager, hostess, waiters and bus-people greet you with big smile and make you feel a bit like a sultan. entertainment here includes intriguing music of the region and belly dancing from this culture. i am happy to report that the food and service far exceeded our previous experiences.
pasha's grill has brought back a much missed mediterranean cuisine with authentic turkish chefs, you will note the difference and want to make this a regular stop when you are at the greene. reservations are recommended if you plan to celebrate chez the turks. but they will do their best to accommodate all culturally savvy foodies, if you come before 8pm (or arrive late) to ring in the new year. with such a casbah prix fixe menu and ambiance, you're bound to have an exquisite experience.
