great po'boys. i live in the neighborhood and i love this place. they are kid-friendly. my only complaint is the roast beef is a little bland. my faves are the oyster (i ask for it "fried hard") and the hot sausage patty.

very good roast beef and loved the fried pickles and sauce bar. the bread was tough and the shrimp were cold. i have most definitely had better in nola. it was not bad, but not sure i would have driven across town in the rain and waited in that line if i knew that is what i was going to get.

#1 spot for po-boys. it's true that i haven't eatten at every po-boy joint in new orleans but to date parkway is definitely the best. when i'm in the mood for a po-boy i'll generally get the surf n turf but they also have a good ruben sandwich and i'm a fan of the sweet potato fries. i also really enjoyed when they did their daily specials. however the real magic happens around thanksgiving - the thanksgiving po-boy, everything good about thanksgiving between two pieces of french bread. this past year they did it every wednesday leading up to thanksgiving but i'd suggest calling ahead. amazing!

this place has awesome poboys. granted i have only tried the roast beef so far, since it was the first item on the poboy menu and it wasn't necessary to keep looking. they ought to call it a rich boy though, because no poor boy could have afforded that much meat. but upon further inspection, the entire menu looks amazing and i can't wait to return. it's crowded and hard to get around in, but that adds to the charm. the old charm of the building and original fire oven bricks on the floor by the bar, artifacts on display, and the mackenzie cake box hanging from the ladies room ceiling, all create a very nostalgic atmosphere. my dad used to come here as a child (but he remembers it being a block or so over from were it is now?). will come back!

zack. haven't been here in quite a while and the roast beef is still outstanding! you won't find a more flavorful, tender, juicy roast beef sandwich. the regular size sandwich is plenty as they are generous with the beef. well worth the wait.

park way... in back! =). wed-mon 11am-10pm, tue closed. for parking, there's a large gravel lot around the restaurant's corner, off toulouse street. surprisingly, when i arrived at noon on a wednesday, the small, order counter (in the right, back corner) only had two people in line. had my order just 5 minutes after placing it. from 12:15 and on, the line stayed around twelve-deep. for $6.90, the regular roast beef po-boy with gravy (7") on french bread was excellent - tender meat (though not as taste-bud pleasing as radosta's, imho), fresh bread, two nice tomato slices and shredded lettuce. served with buttered bread on the side, the turkey & alligator sausage gumbo for $5.15 was a little bland (pass the salt and pepper, please), the taste of okra being the most pronounced. next time i'll skip the gumbo, and leave room for dessert! from cashier to server, a very friendly staff!

do the shrimp, do the beef with gravy. po boys done well since way back when. worth a drive out for lunch to experience a new orleans classic. not fancy, not meant to be. enjoy.

this place has a reputation for having the best po' boys in nola.  after eating there we can see why, this was by far the best po' boy i've ever had.  i got the regular size shrimp one and it was stuffed with more shrimp than you could count.  great place and great vibe.  when in nola and you want a po' boy this is the place.

one of the best po boys in town. sweet potato fries are excellent as are all the po boys. roast beef lately has had too much gravey and can be bland for a local but a little hot sauce fixs that. go there everytime we are in town. bar staff is great and a large bloody mary is just right sunday after a weekend in the city.

this is a solid place with a very good fried oyster poboy offered twice a week. i can't rank this place at the very top of the poboy list but it is quite good. lines can be long so go early!
