papaya

pop into papaya. i don't come here enough but every time i dine in i remember why i like it so much. the food is fresh and not super salty like a lot of asian places. i almost always get the fiery udon noodles for my dinner. it has the right amount of heat with out being overpowering and the colorful vegetables add to the noodles. thai calamari has some sort of sweet and sour dipping sauce that goes well with it. chicken pot stickers come with two dipping sauces that i like to combine together. friends get the tom yum soup and love it along with the pepper tuna appetizer. only downside is the meals can be a little pricey but they are worth it. they have creative martinis and cocktails like the pineapple upside down cake. just found out thursdays are $3.50 absolut and mixed drinks, $2.50 domestics and $4 wine. servers were also walking around with 5 different kinds of sushi to try. definitely will comebackon a thursday for these specials.

slow service but a terrific meal. during a visit in fall 2011, my companion and i found this restaurant to be overbooked and packed. we waited for a while at the bar, and then waited quite a while longer at the table for service. we ordered our beverage and meal choices at the same time and then waited a long time more; we were only seconds away from walking away, when our drinks and appetizer finally made it to the table. the calamari was delicious. hand breaded, perfectly fried and served with an asian flavored dipping sauce. every last bite was enjoyed. a spicy tuna roll was also ordered and enjoyed. my companion raved about his butterfish (escolar). both the presentation and the flavors were fantastic. my fiery udon noodles were terrific. however, i had asked for tofu but was served chicken. no matter, there is little that i don't eat. i have been to this restaurant a few times in the past, and have always enjoyed the food although i do believe the quality of the food was at it's best this past time. i hope to bebacksoon, but will hope the service is better this time.

offered sample and then charged us. we had been regulars at papaya. this food is good and the prices higher than most. one night we were offered a sample of a special dessert. we didn't like it at all, told them so, they continued to tell us that we should like it and they still billed us for it. we haven't beenbacksince.

excellent, friendly staff. very welcoming. prices just a tad high, but it's the landing. the pho was above average. my wife had a really good marinated beef dish. would like to see a little bit bigger menu, but will comebackfor what they have. goes out of their way to cater to the boeing crowd with a bunch of little plane models - nice touch.
