hidden gem. thisrestaurantis tucked in off pacific hwy and durham rd and is hard to spot. i did not even know it existed until my mom took me there today. i must say i am glad she showed me this little gem because the food was delicious.
we started off with item 3. fried egg rolls (meat $4.75) beef to be exact. for our entrée, i had menu item 62. bun dac biet (combination lemongrass chicken, thinly sliced pork, grilled shrimp & fried egg rolls $8.50) and my mom had item 28. pad ruam mit w/beef (sautéed garden fresh with bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, cabbage, broccoli, carrots, green beans, baby corn & bean sprouts in garlic sauce $7.50)
my mom requested that our fried egg rolls be the "skinny ones". she mentioned that she like the skinny version better as they come cut up in bit size pieces with a dipping sauce. my main dish was served in a bowl over noodles while my mom's was served on a platter with a bowl of rice on the side. it being my first time here i ordered it medium heat while my mom went with hot. both dishes were great and the hot not being as hot as you might think, it was spicy but not burn your tongue off hot. i like spicy food so my definition of hot might be different from yours. i only received two grilled shrimp with my dish which was a bit disappointing but they were tasty. overall the dishes had a lot of flavor and had me looking for more.
therestaurantis clean, the help friendly, and the menu hearty…85 items to be exact. i look forward to taking my wife there to see what she thinks.
