meh. went here a few months ago with a friend. it was inconvenient parking, i didnt even know thisrestaurantwas here i have lived here for about 7 years. so we gave it a shot for lunch. the interior is very charming. the smell as i entered was kinda like a toilet cake, mixed with a hint of floral curry. i ordered a sweet curry of sorts, very mangoish pretty good a little bland, also i had a thai tea of sorts that was phenominal. the customer service seemed ok, not attentive but ok. i give this place a 50/50. the smell was a bit awkward.

good thai memories. pacific breeze is a vietnamese, thai restaurant. it is very easy to miss from the road and the outside is plain lacking something to catch your eye and allure you in. in fact i would have never went to this place had i not been in the car when some friends went there to pick up some lunch. they kindly offered me a thai salad roll (fresh lettuce, carrots, vermicelli, bean sprouts, tofu and cilantro wrapped in rice paper )with a dab of peanut sauce. one bite and i was in love. i decided to take my husband there to try their pho and it was delicious! and they didn't lack on the toppings which some pho places do. we were hooked. it was a great place to go on a cold rainy day. if you are not into pho they have great curries, stir fry and more. i have also heard they have great thai ice teas. in fact we had one friend who claimed that he had the best thai food when he was in ny (which i believe). whenever we took him to a thairestauranthe was deeply dissapointed. however when we took him here he was pleased. hey that has to mean something right! so i definitely recommend giving pacific breeze a try!

hidden gem. thisrestaurantis tucked in off pacific hwy and durham rd and is hard to spot. i did not even know it existed until my mom took me there today. i must say i am glad she showed me this little gem because the food was delicious.
we started off with item 3. fried egg rolls (meat $4.75) beef to be exact. for our entrée, i had menu item 62. bun dac biet (combination lemongrass chicken, thinly sliced pork, grilled shrimp & fried egg rolls $8.50) and my mom had item 28. pad ruam mit w/beef (sautéed garden fresh with bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, cabbage, broccoli, carrots, green beans, baby corn & bean sprouts in garlic sauce $7.50)
my mom requested that our fried egg rolls be the "skinny ones". she mentioned that she like the skinny version better as they come cut up in bit size pieces with a dipping sauce. my main dish was served in a bowl over noodles while my mom's was served on a platter with a bowl of rice on the side. it being my first time here i ordered it medium heat while my mom went with hot. both dishes were great and the hot not being as hot as you might think, it was spicy but not burn your tongue off hot. i like spicy food so my definition of hot might be different from yours. i only received two grilled shrimp with my dish which was a bit disappointing but they were tasty. overall the dishes had a lot of flavor and had me looking for more.
therestaurantis clean, the help friendly, and the menu hearty…85 items to be exact. i look forward to taking my wife there to see what she thinks.
