oyster bar & grille

we had a fun visit here several weeks ago.
jg score of 4.5/10 from us this visit (+2 for food, +0.5 for atmosphere, 0 for price, 0 for no diet dr pepper, 0 for typical service and +2 for we would love to go back)
first of all, you get chips and hot sauce as an appetizer at this oyster bar! that was great; it helps to fill you up if you only get oysters like we did because they don't fill you up. good salty chips and good hot sauce....now, we tried a lot of the oysters. our favorite were the danny's parmesan oysters followed second by the mesquite grilled. we would get these over again. the danny's parmesan oysters were described as lightly breaded then fried and baked with parmesan....they were tasty. the mesquite grilled were just as tasty and described as being basted with lemon garlic butter and light seasoning then grilled....very nice. we also tried the angels which were fried oysters with pepper jack cheese then wrapped with bacon and mesquite grilled= these all soundgreatbut really just tasted like bacon balls. last were the bbq oysters= mesquite grilled with loud and spicy bbq sauce and tabasco= the bbq taste was too overwhelming. that was how we ranked the types we got....we also got some oysters on the half shell too.
the atmosphere is good, kinda close knit with tables and ocean decorations and a big fish tank down the middle and with mounted tvs all around.
obviously, the price will easily be over $15 with oysters.
no diet dr pepper, only diet coke.
the service was typical and friendly.
we could easily go back here again.

this place is good, the patio is the perfect place to sit in the spring or fall and enjoy margaritas and good company and food. last time i went there was the skin of the chicken in my chicken tortilla soup...the raw looking skin where you could see the root from the feathers was in my soup, i almost puked! everyone at my table got freaked out when i showed them, we told the server and he didn't seem to concerned...it was a floppy piece of uncooked chicken skin in my soup! gross me out! aside from that, of course everything else wasgreatevery single time...that was a fluke i suppose. but regardless, i can never eat that soup from there again. will be back though for chips, salsa, and margaritas!

oysters!. i have brought oyster loving guests several times, and it is always agreatexperience. we usually order 6 different oysters and we love them all. the oysters on the half shell are very fresh, the angels are a favorite as are the bbq ones. i have yet to find a better place in shreveport/bossier to get oysters.

regular customers. fun bar area.greatdrinks. definitely don't make the trip solely for the food though.

yummy!. this it one of the few places my husband and i go to get away for a few minutes. we have a beer, a few oysters, then its back to being mom and dad.greatatmosphere, reasonably priced, fast service. we usually eat 1/2 dz. raw oysters, and order off of the app. menu and share 2 - the angels and the oysters champagne, both are excellent. this is usually more than enough for us.

a little pricey but all i eat is the carne asada steak at lunch with thegreatgarlic butter sauce. fries aren't anything to write home about but excellent steak and excellent service.greatfor a lunch meeting.

fun nights. the margaritas are always awesome. service isgreator bad just depending on how they feel. i like the salsa. i've had raw and fried oysters, carne asada, chimichangas, angel oysters, loaded potato skins, lucky bread, nachos...my faves are the oysters, carne asada and anything with the beef fajita meat.

i just reviewed this6 place, and i feel the need to add that not only were the food and drinks mediocre, the service, from the busboy to the manager, was terrible. terrible.

i have been here countless times. the food is mediocre. the drinks are good (not great). we come here because there is agreatpatio where we can be with our friends and have cocktails and appetizers. we come every week. it's always been just ok. tonight we went and the busboy took my husband's drink. when he asked for it back, he got nothing but attitude, so he asked the hostess, and she said it wasn't her job to care. at this point, we really weren't mad; we were just ready to leave. then the manager on duty came out (unsolicited, i may add) and just really argued and tried to make my husband look bad (he had just arrived, and his first drink, that i paid full price for, was thrown away. so he wasn't drunk). when. customer has a concern, the establishment should address said concern, not argue to the point that the customer leaves angry. i will not be back.
