how does this place stay in buisness. 1st try ok so i tried this place once for lunch, service was horrible, and the food was poor quality. my burger was cold and dry.

2nd try couple months later a friend insisted on going fordrinksafter a movie. well you really can't mess up a beer, oh wait sure you can if you serve it rudely and charge to much.

3rd try. my wife graduated nursing school and after her final test most of the students agreed to meet here. i swear the worst french fries i have ever ever!!!!!!!! had in my life. service for once was ok but everything else was just so so. in fact there were 16 of us together and almost everyone complained about something. officially done with this place

the main selling point of this place is the atmosphere. it is a fun and energetic place to have somedrinksand food on the weekend especially during lsu games. try the oysters on the half shell dressed with their salsa!

we used to eat here at least once a week.   then we slowed down to a couple times a month as the food was either tasteless or laden with oil.  seems  they had no grill pans to saute veggies so if you got them they were laden with oil so as to grill them on whatever.  finally we dropped to every few months because the food just went down and down except for a couple or three items.

well we did go recently.  seems (said our server) the owner upped the drink prices to almost double.  why?  because we were told, he felt they were in a high end dining district and he knew they were getting higher prices for theirdrinksand he wanted to "meet" his competition.  ah so--.

got news for him, he is not fine dining though all his prices have gone way up.  that i expect as they do that everywhere.  but to double mixed drink prices without white linens and napkins and proper glassware.  well, that did it.  if we ever go again to get one of the two or three items that are good, we will not have drinks.  this is a dive.  old, dirty, looks nasty.  tables jammed together, tv blaring all the time.  no, not fine dining.  like an old, dirty corner bar where the servers do the cooking.  no chef!  unreal.  we are pretty well done and his business will do the drop and it will show soon.

the man needs to wake up and get his head out of the sand.  he serves crown and coke out of root beer mugs for gosh sakes.  and no martini glasses or large or decent olives.  just because the fine dining is all around you does not mean you are that.    well good luck, but i think it is downhill from here.  take heed folks, ask how much a drink is before you order anything, but water   a shame, but the place had been going down for years and i would say this will be the nail on the coffin.  again, good luck because you will need it.  you got nothing else.

the food was okay thedrinkswere great! we ordered angels, fried catfish calamari, and shrimp po-boy.

i just reviewed this6 place, and i feel the need to add that not only were the food anddrinksmediocre, the service, from the busboy to the manager, was terrible. terrible.

i have been here countless times. the food is mediocre. thedrinksare good (not great). we come here because there is a great patio where we can be with our friends and have cocktails and appetizers. we come every week. it's always been just ok. tonight we went and the busboy took my husband's drink. when he asked for it back, he got nothing but attitude, so he asked the hostess, and she said it wasn't her job to care. at this point, we really weren't mad; we were just ready to leave. then the manager on duty came out (unsolicited, i may add) and just really argued and tried to make my husband look bad (he had just arrived, and his first drink, that i paid full price for, was thrown away. so he wasn't drunk). when. customer has a concern, the establishment should address said concern, not argue to the point that the customer leaves angry. i will not be back.
