the whole concept of oom is something i have never experienced. it's quite intimidating at first but the pay off allows you to finally click as to why they call it "mixology."

this is no bar, it's cocktail science and experimentation- something i really wouldn't mind observing one day. 

there are no waiter suggestions, no explanations - just your own mind making the decision and your palate acting as judge. i really enjoyed my miso sorbet concoction with caramelised glass-like sugar and sesame seeds.

it's agreatway to start a night out or before a dinner.

i can only speak to the drinks as we ate elsewhere but this place is a find! very inventive drinks in agreatatmosphere and friendly conversation with kevin- a master at his craft! loved the burning of the rosemary for my drink and the beet drink was very yummy. would love to keep going back until i have tried every drink and the food menu as well- it looks amazing!

i suppose i expected an out of this world experience... but it was quite strange. dingy staircase, 4 tables and when the cocktails arrived - plain and in standard glasses with limited garnish. i expected candy floss, chillies and fireworks! it was good however but not sure if i will go back.greatattentive service!

loved this bar! went twice in the space of one week - once with friends and then again with family because i wanted them to get the experience as well. the cocktails on their own are a bit pricey but they truly are works of art. the flavours, textures and mixes are so unique. i would highly recommend doing the tasting menu though - it not only works out to begreatvalue for money but it also gives you a chance to try some of their equally delicious food.

the surprise of seeing such a beautiful, zen space hidden on top of a rather dodgy looking stairwell also adds to the experience. you really feel like you've discovered a hidden gem :)

must go. fine dining for cocktails. it was an unreal experience with all the smoke and steam and foam and decadence all packed into a cocktail. i had the salty dog which was delicious. however r90 for a few sips of cocktail does seem a bit steep. butgreatexperience from the hole in the wall none the less. definitely an exciting place to go.

it'sgreatto see that the craft of bartending and fine drinking is being elevated to this level in cape town. the drinks are definitely an experience. the cocktail menu focuses on flavours rather than brands which makes for interesting selection. it's not gonna be a regular spot but everyone needs to try it out at least once.
