ourdeckdown under. food average at best. by all means they should start serving wings. the trick to beat the queue is to know what you want, go to the bar and order a drink and go sit down. the waitress will come around for another drink refill, and take your order, but you must know the menu and know what you want. works everytime!

hubby is obsessed with raw clams on the half shell. this craving harkens back to his nyc upbringing where he was known to indulge in eating 2-4 dozen on his own, heaped with cocktail sauce, horse radish and lemon juice. as a matter of fact it was hubby that introduced me to raw clams, something i’d never had any desire to try. well he got me hooked as well and i especially like when he prepares my clams just so to make sure they’re dressed correctly. our hotel concierge recommended ourdeckdown under and we’re so happy he did.

we ordered two dozen littleneck clams on the half shell and slurped them up in no time. i followed that up with a salad topped with grilled tilapia, and hubby got a shrimp po boy. the weather was brilliant and we enjoyed sitting on the opendeck– a most pleasant experience. ourdeckdown under is a terrific casual place that families will enjoy. we sure did!

it was the perfect way to celebrate our big day and we were so enchanted by all that daytona beach has to offer that we will be returning later this year and bringing some friends with us.....the more the jollier!

very dissapointed. we were looking for some really good, fresh seafood with a nice atmosphere, and were told about ourdeckdown under.
unfortunately, the food was not good. at all.
the mahi mahi was rubbery and lacked any flavor at all. the crab cakes tasted like stovetop stuffing and there was no crab to be found.
pasta salad, same. no flavor and very bland.
thedeckwas nice, but it wasn't nice enough to make up for the food.
if you are looking for great seafood, don't pick ourdeckdown under.
we actually asked for a refund on one of our meals because it was so bad. that's something that neither my husband or i ever do. we'll try again tonight in daytona to find some good food. when we do, we'll let you know.

too bad there isn't a "i love it" option!! my family always eats at ourdeckdown under multiple times while we are at the beach.... at least 3-4 times during our 8 day stay! it's best at lunch because the crowd isn't as bad!! try the special crab cake and shrimp wrap.... you won't be sorry!! this is my favorite place in daytona beach!

local's favorite. it says something that this place is always packed each time we have eaten there (and we eat there about once a week). first of all, the atmosphere and view on thedeckis fabulous. the staff is always friendly and helpful. but the star is the seafood. always very fresh and plentiful. had the fried flounder last time i was there and it was perfect. we love the oysters and grilled fish, as well as, the shrimp wrap. easily the best place to eat in south daytona/port orange.

ourdeckdown under is the quintessential sunshine state hangout where you drink cheap pitchers of beer in shorts, t-shirt and flip-flops and listen to the waves lap against the pylons holding up thedeckunder your feet.

lost the touch. i have been a customer of ourdeckdown under for many years over 20 and before they moved to the big place on the north side of the bridge...
i know times are hard but you have to maintain the quality of your food, especially when prices keep going up...
i had not been in for a while and last night we went and i have never been more disappointed in the food...
the fish had absolutely no flavor and paper thin, i spent 60 dollars and that was for 2 dinners a lb of shrimp a coke and a icetea...
i have sent hundreds there but will reconcider and tell them to go to long johns silvers and make a picnic by the water...
i hope the girls know i still love them but they have to stand up against the bad food...

above & beyond...amazing!!!!. i love this place! we flew in late one night this summer & called ourdeckdown under about 10 minutes before they closed & said we were on our way & could they accommodate us. they stayed open, even though the restaurant was empty & gave us some of the finest & friendliest service i have ever had. from hong kong to tahiti & everywhere in between. i just called them to inquire about a wonderful salsa they had on the table & they quickly & kindly got me the name & type of salsa. this is the place to go if you want to be reminded what customer service should be like.

this is the fl flip flop dining experience. the bullet: food-c, service-b, ambience-a, price-a-. i go back. this is the type of come as you are, menu on the wall, bartender named berta, place in daytona that you need to visit. sure, the food isn't top 10 but it's solid. the beer is very cold and the wait staff is top notch. sit out on thedeckand waste some hours telling lies with the townies and remember that you are under a bridge.....you're not looking for cordon bleu or quiche.

this place is how daytona used to be.. i have been coming to daytona for all of my life. ourdeckis exactly what daytona was like 30 years ago. open air, simple and family run. my parents always took us to aunt catfish's at the other end of the causeway. aunt's is nice but has become too touristy and expensive. i friend told us about ourdeckso we had to check it out. the beer always seems to taste better in a place like this. the food may not be fresh caught (no place serves local fish anymore) but they prepare it really well. the service is great. sure the lines are long but the kitchen and service staff are always moving. if you are lucky, get a spot at the bar and watch the action.

grab some shade at.... "ourdeckdown under" has been and still remains a popular place to enjoy a quick bite to eat and enjoy a large ice tea, or bucket of beer with your friends.
the fish sandwich is always huge and fresh, i love the sides: cole slaw, fresh fries and hushpuppies. picnic tables outside is our favorite spot to enjoy observing the the boaters and water mania with our harley riding friends in the cooler months of florida..
