great deck on the river (covered and uncovered seating). typical seafood (mostly fried) and a little better beer selection than most. friendly staff

as expected for tourist location. average fried seafood. nice atmosphere. friendly and helpful staff with no notable tourist contempt. onion rings were excellent but fried shrimp was a bit undercooked: shrimp fine, crust always a bit soft/soggy in spots. happy hour bar deal m-f 5p-7p made drinks very reasonable.

local's favorite. it says something that this place is always packed each time we have eaten there (and we eat there about once a week). first of all, the atmosphere and view on the deck is fabulous. the staff is always friendly and helpful. but the star is the seafood. always very fresh and plentiful. had the fried flounder last time i was there and it was perfect. we love the oysters and grilled fish, as well as, the shrimp wrap. easily the best place to eat in south daytona/port orange.

i did not care for this place. we stood in line forever, to be served mediocre food. i had a crab cake sandwich that was absolutely boring. pretty sure it's from sysco, nothing fresh made.

this place is pretty much a tourist trap.

we we looking for a really good seafood restaurant with outside seating on the water. this place was rated 4 stars and we were so glad we found a place reasonably priced. i didn't mind the line to order and pay before we got our dinner. this place reminded me of boston's in nsb, which we love for fried seafood, except we would have a view! the wait for our food was not that long. i've got to say that the food was absolutely tasteless. i very seldomly add salt to restaurant food, and found myself at least 3 times with salt and pepper shakers in hand. tarter sauce tasted like mayonnaise, coctail sauce tasted like catchup. my husband said it was frozen seafood. after reading several of the other reviews, i believe he was right. very disappointed!!

it had an over all good taste. very big sandwich with 3 mahi filets. i wish there was more blackened seasoning. also the filets were dry.

wonderful place. my husband and i were introduced to this place over 10 years ago. we go here several times a year for the best fish sandwich and onion rings and oysters. we go here for special occasions, birthdays, anniversaries or just want another taste of deliciousness. the staff is friendly, helpful and the atmosphere it great. no one we brought there has ever complained of the food. the clam chowder is bar none. just wish all these "haters" had some class and taste buds.

our deck down under is the quintessential sunshine state hangout where you drink cheap pitchers of beer in shorts, t-shirt and flip-flops and listen to the waves lap against the pylons holding up the deck under your feet.

worst ever. my godmother celebrated her 92nd birthday on march 31st. i drove down from atlanta to take her for fresh seafood. we stood in line for over an hour to receive the disappointment of my life!! the food is pre-breaded, frozen and not tasty at all. i had the oysters and advertised fresh flounder. my godmother had the oysters. everything was fried hard and thin. when i peeled the breading from my fish, there was vey little fish exposed. they oysters were the same. we got up and left. how do you you own a restaurant on the halifax river, two blocks from the atlantic ocean and serve frozen seafood? it ruined her birthday weekend. she was there a couple of years ago and the food was great. new management??

i have to agree with the line wait times.. we got there at 4:30 on a saturday and had to wait 25 minutes in line to order plus another 30 for the food.. with young kids that is a loooong time to wait.. food was pretty food when we got it though.. when its busy they must make sure they have 2 cashiers taking orders! mostly it was one when we showed up with a second only up occasionally..
