arguably the bestrestauranton mg marg, the ambience borders on fine dining. the servers are very courteous and friendly.

we had ordered a chicken fried rice and chicken thukpa. both were very tasty and fulfilling. the rice was fluffy and flavorful with a lot of chicken, egg and veggies. the thukpa was not too spicy and very homely. the quantities were very good as well.

highly recommended!

we are from kolkata and we were intrigued by the bright light emanating from thisrestaurantwhile walking down mg marg. hence, we decided to dine in.

location: it is located on the second floor of norbula complex. spotting it while walking down mg marg is very easy. rating: 4.5/5

ambience: this is a fine diningrestaurantthat has a separate area for the families where drinks are not served. therestaurantis spacious and well lit. the decor is minimal yet classy. rating: 4.5/5

staff: the staff is extremely courteous and the service is very quick. rating: 5/5

food: coming to the food, we tried out the chinese dishes as follows:-

1. chicken steamed dumplings (inr 220): 6 pieces of authentic chicken dumplings were served with a sauce. the sauce was made with turmeric and chilli powder which was a complete let down. however, the dumplings made up for it with the scrumptious filling of chicken and veggies. rating: 4/5

2. chicken noodles (inr 235): we had ordered 2 plates and the quantity was sufficient for 3 people. the noodles were well-flavoured and the veggies, eggs, and chicken chunks were properly infused with flavours. rating: 4.5/5

3. crispy chilli chicken (inr 290): this dish had several pieces of shredded chicken tossed in authentic asian spices along with capsicum and onions. the taste was good and so was the quantity. rating: 4/5

our dining experience had cost us inr 1029. though the price is on the higher side compared to its competitors, osm is arestauranti would like to revisit and recommend.

the food, the ambience, the service, everything was up to the mark. it’s quite spacious and comforting. thisrestaurantis suitable for fine dining and delivers great experience.

i really liked the blueberry martini in cocktails and cottage cheese with mashed potatoes in continental food.

while on mg marg, this place is a must go when you are done with eating chinese! xd

i was in gangtok in first week of december and thisrestaurantcame to our rescue on my birthday. this is one of the very few places in gangtok that takes orders beyond 10 pm with smiling faces. they have two seating areas - one is lounge which has live music and other one is the fine dine area. the ambience is pleasant and lit. they have various cuisines but we went for north india cuisine. food was tasty and was served quickly. do try their cocktail called vompom. it was suggested by their staff and we liked it a lot. the staff is very friendly and co-operative specially jeevan. thanks to osm else i would have slept hungry on my birthday.

good food, slow service, poor attention is how i would like to describe it.

thisrestaurantin gangtok is right on mg marg, the most happening street in gangtok. lovely decor, bright lighting and spacious place (which is a rarity in gangtok) defines the ambience. we were greeted well.

we ordered manchow soup which was quite average. however, paneer butter masala and dal makhani were awesome. paneer was super soft (no other place in gangtok where i ate offered such soft paneer). we had the same with masala kulcha.

i would recommend one to try it. the only hitch was that therestaurantis understaffed and i had to walk down to ask for the bill. else i would have given it 5 stars.
