osaka sushi restaurant

myfavoritesushi restaurant. my husband and i found this restaurant by chance, i love sushi and we actually travel around with our chopsticks in our glove compartment. we went in and immediately liked the decor. we were greeted by the chef and the wait staff. we were relieved to see no hibachi grill. the key here is freshly flown in ingredients, and a real japanese chef. there is an extensive choice of sushi plus many other choices. i ordered the first sushi i ate there by accident. the columns of choices are side by side and i marked on the wrong side of the column. i got rosanna which is a tempura shrimp sushi. i fell in love. the chef is friendly and very kind, the wait staff are nice and attentive and i look forward to going there at least once a week.

i've been a regular for years and have known and know both owners. by far myfavoritejapanese restaurant in town. family owned, absolutefavoritesushi in town, good prices, excellent staff and chef's. i couldn't recommend it more, especially if your looking to try sushi or japanese food for the first time.

best sushi / best sushi chef. by far ourfavoriteplace in lexington for sushi, and the service is outstanding. the owner/sushi chef goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome, and we actually are greeted and made to feel like family the second we walk in the door. it has the feel of a local, familiar, neighborhood gathering place. myfavoritedinner is the osaka dinner special "a" with the grilled salmon... delicious! but ourfavoriteover-all are the rolls... first of all, they are beautiful and very well presented. secondly, they are mouth-watering and absolutely to die for... our very favorites are the rockin' tuna roll with tempura crunch, and the derby roll, topped with mounds and mounds of shredded "crab" meat... the best part, is the chef/owner's huge smile and enthusiastic personality... all this, and more, makes osaka our place to go for delicious and authentic japanese food in a wonderful setting and amazing service, time and time again, and we don't go anywhere else. love it!!!

my boyfriend and i are sushi fans, in fact it is ourfavoritedate meal, so we have tried many places around town- this is by far one of the best places lexington has to offer. the service is amazingly friendly and fast (in many places of comparable quality, we find ourselves waiting twice as long for entrees) and the food itself is elegant without pretense. more roomy than seki, less atmosphere than sugano, but the food quality ranks among those lexington institutions.
