we went to osaka for the firsttimeto celebrate a graduation, 8 of us sat around the grill. food was awesome and the service was fantastic! our server was so cute and happy, i wish all people could be like her. our chef wasn't as fancy as some we've had at kobe's but i was still a great time. our group preferred osaka to kobe's and will definitely be enjoying meals there in the future!

do not give this restaurant your business, because they only care about getting your money and are willing to call the police while holding your credit card when you get upset about the service, not that their customers have enjoy their restaurant. the past couple of times we've eaten here, the service has been terrible. between mixed up orders, inattentive staff, hibachi chefs that are completely unenthusiastic, and this finaltimewhere they held on to my credit card and called the police saying we refused to pay because of being upset with how they handled a gift card, they showed they're more concerned about getting paid than ensuring customers have a good experience. on the night of 3/4/2019 a friend, her son, and i went to osaka for hibachi because we had won a $50 gift card. osaka refused to take all $50 off the gift card and only took $40, refused to take advice to leave the $40 charge on the gift card, charge it the extra $10 and change the charge on my credit card accordingly. the server and manager then voided out both transactions, making the $50 gift card worthless and telling us the gift card didn't work, and when we became upset due to them screwing up the charges they called the police saying we refused to pay without informing us of what was happening. after sitting for an extra 20 minutes without any updates about where my credit card was or what was happening, officers arrived. talking with fargo pd officers, there were no charges that could be brought because the server was still holding on to my credit card through all of this and we had not refused to pay for services. the manager refused to apologize for escalating a situation beyond all reason with upset customers while effectively holding us hostage by refusing to give our card back or even asking if the total amount could have been charged to my credit card, and was still accusing us of trying to steal despite continuing to hold onto my credit card when i asked to politely talk with him. we will never be returning, and recommend that nobody else visits to avoid an embarrassing situation as well.

food was great! servers were great! and the cool was awesome! they all made it such a greattimethat we came back the next day before leaving town!

bad service mediocre food. i was a single diner at the sushi bar... about 15 minutes until anyone would stop by. unlike most sushi restaurants you don't order from the chef behind the counter. so... 1 hour in and 45 minutes since i ordered i asked for my check and take it to go... no food yet. too much bad to stay.

the food? meh. my first clue was when one orders sushi, the rice should be warm--not here, cold. you know that little dab of wasabi on the rice under the fish--nope. my first clue should have been watching the chefs mallet with a meat tenderizer the tuna (had plenty oftimeto watch).

since i'm for out of town from a sushi rich area, maybe thus is fargo's best-- i sure hope not! this place would be out of business where there is sushi competition.

good food, terrible service. my secondtimeat osaka sushi and hibachi was birthday treat from friends. we tried the hibachi this time. the manager jason was cordial. chef josh was great and entertaining. food was good. could have been a great place to eat except for the server cindy, who was not accommodating nor friendly, she was rude to the point that she snapped at us when we asked if we could order yet while waiting for the rest of our friends to arrive. she was impolite when serving the plates of food, rudely and carelessly shoving them in front of us. need a lot of improvements in the the customer service aspect. eating food is a universal experience, regardless of the race or ethnicities but some restaurants like osaka have preferential treatment as we had experienced it with the server cindy. every customer is a paying customer. excellent customer service is a good way to promote a restaurant but the way we were treated by her will certainly affect our decision not to go back there in the future. a good eating experience should include not only good food but excellent customer service as well. i will not go back to a place where they don't respect customers.

my husband and i ate here tonight and we loved it! we sat in regular dining and had great sushi, we especially enjoyed the mermaid roll. the manager was helpful for my firsttimewith sushi. we were also entertained by some customers who apparently couldn't read a coupon. but over all a wonderful dining experience!

have been to osaka five times now (for sushi) and always have terrible service. on 11/16/12 took 20 minutes to get seated when over half the tables where open. after getting seated a server never came, we waited another 20 monutes at the table! five tables were seated after us and all had a server greet them within minutes. tried to complain to a manger but no one came to talk to us. i will never go back. don't waste yourtimeor money, go somewhere else.
