do not give this restaurant your business, because they only care about getting your money and are willing to call the police while holding your credit card when you get upset about the service, not that their customers have enjoy their restaurant. the past couple of times we've eaten here, the service has been terrible. between mixed up orders, inattentive staff,hibachichefs that are completely unenthusiastic, and this final time where they held on to my credit card and called the police saying we refused to pay because of being upset with how they handled a gift card, they showed they're more concerned about getting paid than ensuring customers have a good experience. on the night of 3/4/2019 a friend, her son, and i went to osaka forhibachibecause we had won a $50 gift card. osaka refused to take all $50 off the gift card and only took $40, refused to take advice to leave the $40 charge on the gift card, charge it the extra $10 and change the charge on my credit card accordingly. the server and manager then voided out both transactions, making the $50 gift card worthless and telling us the gift card didn't work, and when we became upset due to them screwing up the charges they called the police saying we refused to pay without informing us of what was happening. after sitting for an extra 20 minutes without any updates about where my credit card was or what was happening, officers arrived. talking with fargo pd officers, there were no charges that could be brought because the server was still holding on to my credit card through all of this and we had not refused to pay for services. the manager refused to apologize for escalating a situation beyond all reason with upset customers while effectively holding us hostage by refusing to give our card back or even asking if the total amount could have been charged to my credit card, and was still accusing us of trying to steal despite continuing to hold onto my credit card when i asked to politely talk with him. we will never be returning, and recommend that nobody else visits to avoid an embarrassing situation as well.

food was fine, cook was fine. our server asked us if we wanted fried rice, and i asked him if there was an additional charge. he said allhibachicame with fried rice. when we got the bill, my whole family had been charged $3/apiece for fried rice, and none of the kids even ate it. i asked our server about it, and he got the manager. the manager was actually a bit rude, and told me that i must pay it because that is what we got. i tried to tell him that our server didn't tell us about the extra charge, even though i had asked about it, and he cut me off before i was finished and said it must be paid. it didn't ruin my afternoon, but it did put a damper on our experience there.

great entertainment for kids, food ok, overall price high. another adult and i took eight kids here. they loved the entertainment of thehibachigrill, but it ended up costing about $35 a person for the amount and quality you'd get for about half that at a non-hibachi asian restaurant. have to do this once in your life, but you certainly go here for the fun, not the food.

good food, terrible service. my second time at osaka sushi andhibachiwas birthday treat from friends. we tried thehibachithis time. the manager jason was cordial. chef josh was great and entertaining. food was good. could have been a great place to eat except for the server cindy, who was not accommodating nor friendly, she was rude to the point that she snapped at us when we asked if we could order yet while waiting for the rest of our friends to arrive. she was impolite when serving the plates of food, rudely and carelessly shoving them in front of us. need a lot of improvements in the the customer service aspect. eating food is a universal experience, regardless of the race or ethnicities but some restaurants like osaka have preferential treatment as we had experienced it with the server cindy. every customer is a paying customer. excellent customer service is a good way to promote a restaurant but the way we were treated by her will certainly affect our decision not to go back there in the future. a good eating experience should include not only good food but excellent customer service as well. i will not go back to a place where they don't respect customers.

learning or not awesome place. my girlfriend and i dined at this wonderful establishment last week friday, and by far the best sushihibachiplace in fargo/morhead. i use to be a fan of kobes but now i will be spending my money here. thehibachichef was very good you dont see twirling fire everyday. the wine selection was amazing. the bartender came out and explained what wine would go best with what we ate. are waitress nallie was quick with everything and very attentive. hands down awesome thank you again osaka

they are new so they're still learning, but they'd better step it up a notch.. i've only been there once so i have to try it again before forming a conclusion. my son got 4 refills of pop while mine sat dry through the meal after the first glass and i couldn't catch our waitress, she'd just pop up, silently grab his glass and run off. the soup was very good, thehibachigrill was good as well but nothing special. ourhibachichef seemed bored and was watching the comical antics of thehibachichef at the next table along with the rest of us.
